We enjoyed the Sunday carvery at Leopard’s Leap Wine Estate a few years back and it was honestly such a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The setting is absolutely beautiful, relaxed, open and surrounded by vineyards, with that classic Franschhoek charm. It has such an easy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile.
The carvery itself was generous and really well prepared. A great selection of roast meats, all tender and full of flavour, with delicious gravies and all the traditional sides you’d expect from a proper Sunday lunch. The harvest table had a lovely variety of fresh salads and vegetables, and everything tasted wholesome and well thought out. Definitely come hungry!
Dessert was also a treat - a tempting selection that rounded off the meal perfectly.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall experience felt relaxed but still well organised. It’s the kind of place that works beautifully for families, celebrations, or just a laid-back Sunday with friends.
