Leopard’s Leap Restaurant & Wine Farm

We enjoyed the Sunday carvery at Leopard’s Leap Wine Estate a few years back and it was honestly such a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The setting is absolutely beautiful,relaxed, open and surrounded by vineyards, with that classic Franschhoek charm. It has such an easy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The carvery itself was generous and really well prepared. A great selection of roast meats, all tender and full of flavour, with delicious gravies and all the traditional sides you’d expect from a proper Sunday lunch. The harvest table had a lovely variety of fresh salads and vegetables, and everything tasted wholesome and well thought out. Definitely come hungry! Dessert was also a treat - a tempting selection that rounded off the meal perfectly. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall experience felt relaxed but still well organised. It’s the kind of place that works beautifully for families, celebrations, or just a laid-back Sunday with friends.

We stop at Leopards Creek for a quick cappuccino. It was delicious. The restuarant is situated at a beautiful spot, overlooking magnificent mountains. The food is apparently very good and the staff is very friendly. There is also a kids play area and they do wine tastings as well. The Chilli Oil Company is about 5 metres away from the Leopards Lounge. Definitely a place to visit.

A very enjoyable and beautiful winery located just in front of the town of Franschhoek, making it easy to access while still feeling immersed in nature. The estate offers a wide, open walking area, allowing you to truly feel the spaciousness of the surroundings. You are surrounded by lush greenery and high mountains, which creates a calm, refreshing atmosphere and highlights the natural beauty of the area. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax, take a walk, and enjoy the scenery — a great example of the charm and elegance that Franschhoek wineries are known for.

Here, we had to tame the tastings, so we went straight for an all-time favourite - a crisp, refreshing Rosé. Of course, it was also time for lunch, and this pulled pork pizza just hit the right spot - cheesy, smoky, and utterly satisfying. Final toast: To Rosé that delights, meals that satisfy, and stops that make the journey unforgettable.

The Staff were very friendly and great! What a beautiful venue for meetings and events! Loved sitting, chatting and tasting at their ginormous bar😘

Great views, lots of open space for kids to run and chill on bean bags. They offer a great Sunday carvery most days that offers Pork belly, lamb, roast chicken and a variety of salads and desserts. They have a smaller menu if you're don't want the carvery. The home made ice tea is very refreshing

Good service, tasty food but the portions could be bigger. Really big venue with different seatings available, we sat outside which was lovely. Would recommend for a wine tasting and a quick bite.

We've just been there to enjoy the Sunset Smooth they write about online(family with 2 kids). They gave us the feeling as we were in the wrong Place (on workdays they close at 5). We didnt even get a menu for 20min and the staff seemed genuinely happy when we left again. Location looks great and maybe it's different 9-5, but that was just ridiculous.
