Great location. Friendly staff. Smooth check-in & check-out. Parking is a bit tricky as the hotel has an underground car park nearby with only 8 parking spaces. Breakfast is great.

Disappointing third stay at this hotel. The room felt unclean, didn’t smell nice upon arrival. Crumbs on the floor when we moved the table, mould on the dirty curtains, dirty windows and my slippers were black from walking around the room for 4 days. Cleaner only made the bed once and the washing up was never done (it always was previously). Noisy floorboards and waiting for the lift can easily take 10 min. The staff are nice and the bar area too. Definitely should be a 3 star instead of a 4 star and needs renovating. Also needs soundproofing and better cleaning staff. Great location, booking was easy and staff helpful, also received a discount which was nice. Not sure I want to stay again though…

Room smelled of old used socks. Could not get rid of the smell even by opening windows. Attached guest room had spiderwebs on the ceiling which didn't feel part of the halloween decor. Short stay but overall was just OK.

Booked what was supposed to be a "charming" room, supposedly a bit nicer than standard room. The room is very tiny and dirty (see pictures). Pillows stained and dusty. No toiletries, besides regular shower gel and hand wash. Hairdryer is the old type attached to the wall.

Just spent 4 nights here, the beds were only made 1 time, they just changed the towels. We had a kitchenette in the room and washing up was never done so after 2 days had to ask for soap so I could it myself. Very dirty floor, picture of my slippers after 4 days. Very dirty windows and curtains with mould. This was our third visit and things have definitely gone downhill. Very creaky floorboards as well. Not sure I will stay here again. Most staff nice, good location and nice bar.

The Leopold is an internally stunning hotel, usefully close to the beach and the Kursaal. I realise that the shape of the rooms is dictated by the shape of the building, but mine had some annoying quirks. For example, no soap at the wash basin, so you have to leap across the room into the shower to squeeze some from the wall-mounted dispenser. The towels are in the toilet. There is no flat surface to write on. One of the shelves wastes space by gluing a tissue box in the middle. There are three electric sockets, one halfway up the wall, so there is nowhere to attach the kettle, and two you have to get down on your knees to use. I am too old for that. Sorry to nitpick. The staff are mostly lovely, but if you are on reception and on the phone, at least acknowledge the guest standing in front of you, trying to check in, while you are completing your phone call.

Nice Hotel! Friendly staff and nice little bar. Rooms were clean and nice. Lots of noise on the floor. EDIT: up until today (04.06.24) I never got my deposit back for the parking garage key (60€) I even wrote them a mail but it was ignored. I have to change my 4 star review down to 2 stars, because the hotel and location was nice.

A lovely hotel in a convenient location. Close enough to the restaurants/shops/beach that you can walk in a couple of minutes. We arrived by train and walked from the train station- only took about 10 minutes.||Hotel looks impressive from outside, reception is welcoming.||Our triple room was upgraded to a studio, with a fridge and cooking facilities. The room was a good size and was spotless clean.||The breakfast selection was good and in lovely surroundings. A waffle machine went down well with my 12 year old and I like a hot chocolate with my breakfast. The bar in reception was a hit with my hubby for a couple of drinks before bed too. All in all, we were well catered for.
