Great food, no matter what you order! My seafood chowder was full of shrimp, mussels, calamari, and chunks of tender fish. The sirloin steak special with pepper sauce was perfectly well done to perfection; another the same with medium and the chicken paprika was perfectly tender.

Came here Saturday afternoon after my nieces christening. Food was amazing! We’re visiting from London and have compared every other meal to this one. The beef was so tender and the apple crumble was delicious. Staff were very attentive for a large party - thank you!

3/5/2024 It was one of our best experiences!!! First of all, I want to say that the service was fantastic. The staff was very professional and very friendly, ready to serve and answer any question you had about the place. Leo's Tavern has a wide variety of beers, and the food that they served there was served, giving you the impression that it is supposed to be served like that. Thank you for the experience we had and I urge everyone to at least go there once. I am sorry for not knowing the names of the staff so I can give gratitude. Since I am from greece, I don't know if I will be able to visit Leo's Tavern again, but if I visit Ireland again, I will surely go again. Until then,I will miss you...

My best friend and I just did a bucket-list trip to Ireland. He's a big Enya fan, so he was excited to visit sights around Donegal associated with her and her music, including Leo's Tavern, opened by her father, and now owned by one of her brothers. The whole Donegal area is beautiful, and Leo's Tavern was a great, traditional Irish pub with a great atmosphere. They have some great local beers - I had a delicious red ale from Errigal Brewing Company. We also had their Mussels appetizer and Fish & Chips for dinner. Both very good. The walls of the restaurant display a lot of mementos and awards from both Enya's career and her family's group, Clannad. If you're in the Donegal area, I recommend making a stop at Leo's.

The food was nice and service prompt. The place although authentic could benefit from dusting montly. Overall for a stop this is reasonably priced. Drinks service- Im not sure why however but all the pints we got were dripping over the sides.

Yelp
Had THE BEST time today! Fantastic live music, awesome service and great pub food. Love the vibe and history-the bar is part of Enya's family and the town is also known for Clannad! Grab a pint, some food and enjoy!

Yelp
Leo's Tavern is such a fun pub to spend the day in Donegal. It's off the beaten path that it's not easily known to tourists. You'll definitely have more locals in attendance every time you come. It's a great vibe with traditional Irish music playing and cold brews. The owner and his family are beyond friendly and inviting. Very gracious and appreciative of the tourists business that they do have. The locals were also very friendly and welcoming, creating a good vibe all around. The interior is very cozy and comfortable. They have booths of to the side for dining and also plenty of tables near where the live music plays. Lastly, a traditional bar top where you can sit up at the bar if you want a good view of everything. Didn't try the food but the drinks were solid. You can't go wrong with a cold Bulmers on ice. Their Irish coffees also hit and they had a great selection of beers. The perfect little pub tucked away in Donegal I would definitely hope to be back on my next trip to Ireland.

Yelp
Great local bar with excellent live music (particularly on Club Beo nights). Good pub food and very welcoming staff. Fire always on during the winter. Highly recommend a visit! Try a cúpla focal whole you're there!

Yelp
This pub is not actually in Letterkenny, that's just the postal address, it's actually in West Donegal close to our campsite. Good music during the summer and the food is really good value.

Yelp
I recently spent a few days in beautiful Donegal, and was lucky enough to eat at Leo's Tavern... the food here is wonderful, some of the best I have had in years. Over the few nights we were there, we had Leo's famous haddock & chips, mussels, seafood chowder, gurnard & hake, symphony of seafood, oriental seafood stir fry, garlic bread.... they had a seafood festival on, and it was heaven for seafood lovers... Calamari appeared in the the chowder and also in some of the sauces... it is very hard to find properly cooked calamari... this was perfect. Plenty of meat / veggie dishes on the menu too. Sides of champ and veg were also cooked beautifully. The pub is lovely, the staff are amazing (particular thanks to the lovely Caroline & Laura), and I also reckon they must have the cleanest loos in Ireland! I cannot wait to go back, Leo's Tavern is an absolute treat. K&M.
