Lepot Chinese Hotpot

This was my second time here and it was great! I got the pork broth and it was so tasty. The place is a bit small and warm, but that’s easy to overlook. The servers come quick when you press the button. Everything is absolutely delicious!!

01/02 we arrived after 6pm and got seated. The menus were pretty beat up. There were no non- seafood items. 10-15 minutes of studying the menu, my friend didn't like the options and the waiter never even came to speak to us, so we went home.

As vegetarians, my wife and I often find it hard to get good hot pot options, but Le Pot turned out to be a great find! They offer several vegetarian-friendly broths served in personal pots, and I especially enjoyed the Mala. There are also great options for those who prefer less spicy broths. The selection of fresh ingredients and the variety of dipping sauces made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a solid vegetarian hot pot experience in Minneapolis!

The server was great and allowed us as a group of 7 to pay separately. This was my first time being at a hot pot and I loved their egg noodles! The stoves have to make a high pitched noise while on but your mind blocks it out after a few minutes (and you can ask for a fork if you can’t use chopsticks haha).

The hot pot here is pretty good! I’ve been here a few times with friends and I like it every time. It’s not necessary my favorite place in town but it’s good overall. I think the menu could use a couple more protein options and I wish the sauce area was in a different spot (it’s always crowded).

Our first Hotpot experience. I don't have anything to compare it to but overall had a great dinner with my family. Pick whatever you like or want to try and cook it as you converse with you table. Very cool that you can split your broths you cook your ingredients in. The spicy broth is 🔥. Many choices for veggies, proteins, and noodles. Loved the sauce mixing station with many choices. They do need more beverage choices in case you don't want tea. Excited to try others soon. Pay parking nearby.

The restaurant is located in Campustown. Walkable from other places and the university. There are boboa shop within the restaurant. They have all you can eat for only $34 ish dollars. It is definitely worth it! Lots of proteins and veggies to choose from. They have sauce making station. Their broth is actually flavorful compared to other hot pot places I’ve been to. I would recommend Tom Yum Soup Base. Their services is genuine and they ensure I was happy and getting the proper services.

UPDATE: Servers will add gratuity to the check automatically. I’m all about tipping and a living wage, but I was charged almost 30% tip - way more than the service provided. No signage of extra charge for groups (I had a group of 5). Make sure to check before they decide to charge you, that was definitely my mistake. Minus 1 star for this. I’d like to honestly give this place 3.5, but Google won’t let me. I love the individual pots. Service can get pretty chaotic, and the space for hot pot is small and crowded. Got the house spicy broth with level 2 spice and 1 numbness - all it tasted like was spice. I didn’t have much other flavor. Original broth wasn’t much to rave about. My husband got the mushroom broth which was really flavorful. either. Lamb was tasty and cooked fast. Veggies were really fresh which can be hard to come by with hot pot. Overall, pretty decent. Just my review of the place. Others who’ve reviewed seem to like it more.

Thinly sliced raw fatty beef, dipped into a simmering bowl of Szechuan spicy broth (both pepper and mala spice)... I swirl it for 10 seconds or so then let it rest on my sauce of choice - sesame paste sauce, or chili garlic oil sauce. I'll eat it, along with noodle or rice, a qail egg perhaps. My mouth explodes with flavor. Every time. Hot pot, hot pot. In my gastronomical journey through life, Chinese hot pot is possibly my greatest encounter. And locally, it's Le Pot. Best broth bases - mala spicy, pork bone, and Tom yum are endorsed by me and my girlfriend Great foodstuffs - qual egg, udon noodles, good fatty beef, crab sticks, good old cabbage, tofu, bean curd, enoki mushroom etc - Lamb and pork are alright at this location, could be better Great sauce bar, as I can assemble my staples - Sauce 1: black vinegar, chili oil with flake, garlic oil with garlic, sesame oil, scallions, cilantro (about equal parts and adjust); season with sugar, salt and soy sauce if desired - Sauce 2: lots of sesame paste, and leave as is or maybe add scallions, chili oil, sesame seed **I do wish they had chive paste** - Sauce 3: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, cilantro, green onion, black vinegar Value - it's like 30-35 dollars a person here. - I often leave more satisfied here than I do after a "fancy" night on the north loop What's missing - ambiance is okay - I do like a huge communal pot - Chive flower paste - Pork and lamb could be better - Broths are good, but I like the Chicago restaurants best Local hot pot honorable mentions - the place at Asia Mall with the electric rack innovation - Legendary Spice - you are free to grab a tray and raid their fridges/freezers for whatever meat, vegetable, etc you want. But the borth wasn't as good. Overall, it's rather expensive but quality is in some ways lower than Le Pot. - J Pot - Korean bbq and hot pot. The Chinese flavors were not as authentic, broths not as good to me, but wow having Korean bbq and hot pot at the same time! It's a decent value too.

My absolute favorite date night place. There is never a wait, the food is amazing, and incredible prices

LePot was my first hotpot experience after recommendation from a foodie friend. I honestly think this is the only place I'll ever go in the future! The restaurant itself is a bit hit or miss; some of the controllers for the burners are unattached, tables or chairs can be a bit wobbly. The servers, though, are excellent & I think that more than makes up for anything aesthetic-wise. The fact that each person gets their own pot is a game changer. I had the Tom yum broth with egg noodles. My friends and I got a bunch of different items: crawfish, sole filets, fried bean curds, potatoes, golden fish balls, enoki mushrooms, lotus root, beef ribeye, eggs, kimchi, broccoli, & napa cabbage. Everything tasted fresh & cooking your own foods to your liking is actually pretty fun. We were all (happily) stuffed when we left!

Some friends took me here to have my first experience with Hotpot and I loved it! I'd definitely recommend this spot for first timers, but come with friends who have been before to show you how it's done. I definitely needed their help with the sauce station and learning the best way to actually eat the meal. Everything is a la cart, which is helpful if you want to share a bunch of different things and try new foods! I went with the Tom Yum broth and it was so flavorful and rich. Between three of us we shared so many different fun items. My favorite were the thin sliced beef, udon noodles, tofu, cabbage and broccoli. It took me a bit to get the hang of how long to cook all the different elements, and I made a bit of a mess, but it was fantastic. Only downside here was it was difficult to get service. It took quite a while to get our order in, and we were stuck waiting for about 20 minutes to close out at the end. Plus, on a tab of over 5 people they add in a 20% tip which I don't mind, except they pulled the tip after tax which wasn't ideal. However, for being very full after, it was a great price at about $25 a person.

Came on a Monday night for the AYCE selection. We've eaten here before they offered AYCE and loved it then too! They were out of the pork bone soup which is our favorite. Other than that, everything else was great. Love the dipping sauce bar. Good selection of meat and veggies. The AYCE menu is different from the Ala carte.

The location and seating feels very canteen like. Some minor issues with service. Surprisingly a 10min wait despite there being open tables to seat a table for 1. After they brought my soup base, they didn't turn on the heating unit so I had to figure it out myself. And you check out up front rather than at the table so the call button is pretty pointless. My biggest disappointment was that they no longer offer the combo sets, despite them still being listed on their online website. I specifically picked this place because of the combo options. Instead I had to order completely à la cart which ended up being more than I was expecting with less variety of vegetables. The saving grace is the fact that the Mala soup base was solid in flavor. Lots of Sichuan pepper corn numbness and fragrant spices. And they offer duck blood which I rarely see in hot pot stores.

Probably my favorite hot pot place I've tried in the Twin Cities! Met some friends on a Saturday evening. Parking can be a little difficult, but you can usually find a meter if you're okay walking a block or so. If you have a larger group, get there a little earlier in the evening to get a table. Service overall was good though maybe a little slow. There were only two guys bussing/serving. They have both a la carte and all you can eat options. The AYCE is the better option if you want a good variety of ingredients. I got the Tom Yum broth. It wasn't super flavorful, but it did the job! The sauce bar is the best - I love they give you recipes for different sauces. My favorite ingredients were the black agaric, tofu, beef fillet, and Chinese sauerkraut. Rice stick is also always a good bet!

VEGAN REVIEW! I will say this is more of a shabu place than hot place place unless I totally misinterpreted! I was so happy to find out this restaurant has plentiful vegetarian and vegan options! If I recall, all soup bases are vegan except for numbers two and five. Then many of the sauces are vegan customizable and up to you! I got the valentine joy pot - with mushroom soup base and mala spicy. Both broths are amazing! The Mala broth is very spicy so I def say it's not for the weak. The veggie options are great and despite the pot looking smaller - it is so filling. I definitely loved the service and I will definitely make this my new go-to spot.

This is by far the best hot pot option in Minnesota. I have been a regular here for the past 7+ years and my friends/boyfriend and I go here at least once to twice a month. The service is quick and friendly, the space is cleanly as well. I love that after you eat you can grab some Kung Fu bubble tea since they're in the same building. I have tried the pork bone broth, the mushroom, the tom yum and the spicy broth, ALL ARE GREAT! My favorite is the tom yum. The spicy is a bit oily but still great. I love that you can do two flavors as well! I love their selection of veggies and noodles! I do wish they had more cuts of beef/meat but I am very satisfied either way. I wish they'd bring back their free dessert they used to do but I understand why it's no longer a thing. I will always be a loyal customer here and I bring all of my family and friends here. They always love it. Be prepared to smell like hotpot though lol. Please go here and try it if you haven't!

Never done a 'Hot pot' before this. My daughter & myself had gone out for a late Mother's Day dinner and was very interesting to cook the veggies and meat in broth at the table. Tried new Asian veggies that loved some, others were very different flavors than used to, but gd. Would try again.

This place checks all the boxes for me. It's affordable, has a variety of great options, and the servers are always so friendly! Chinh is the best! I also love that there's a kungfu tea inside so I can get a little treat after.ヽ(^o^)丿

I was looking forward to finally having Hotpot after about a year since my last time and found this place. This is the first Hotpot place I've tried since moving to the twin cities, and historically Hotpot on the east and west coasts have been some of the best food I've ever had. Everyone would always love it and be so excited to go back. Unfortunately, that was not really the experience for all of us this time. The setting is a bit strange with a Kung Fu Tea in the same room, but it does offer a nice option while you wait. However, as a result, the lobby is always pretty packed and the place is really loud when you are eating. We got there early so we didn't really have an issue getting a table, but shortly after we sat down, a large line formed waiting for a table. This is one of those nice Hotpot setups where each person has their own pot for cooking in. This is great for groups where some people are vegetarians, some people like food spicy, etc. You order a soup base and then you order toppings that you want to cook in your soup and eat. I had an order of lamb, beef, egg noodles, and enoki mushrooms with Pork Bone Broth. Everything was decent, but it wasn't to the same quality I've had at other places. The portions were average sized, but the meat didn't taste super fresh and the egg noodles were low quality. Everyone felt the same and we we are all kind of disappointed after leaving. The good thing is it's cheaper than other places I've been to for Hotpot, but definitely one of my lesser favorites. Also, after eating here, I later read that the owner was charged with running a crime ring in which they would steal phones from people in downtown and dinky town, transfer money out of the victims' bank accounts, and then sell the phones overseas so with a mediocre restaurant and a bad owner, I would definitely not recommend coming here.

I don't normally enjoy hotpot but this place was very good and not as pricy as other hot pot places. I ordered a very spicy broth on accident since the waiter misheard me but I didn't mind because she was working alone and I didn't want to complain. I suffered a bit but it was worth it, since it tasted so good.

Great spot on campus for a casual and cozy dinner! This was definitely a great choice for a cold winter night. I went with a group and the a la carte ordering worked great, we were all able to choose our own soup base but split the meat, noodles, and veg to try a bit of everything. Food wise, everything was 10/10! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is service was pretty slow, it took a while to flag down our server each time we needed to order something or get our check at the end of our meal.

Been coming here since college and always love introducing my friends to this place. It's always a hit! Lepot in my opinion best hotpot place in the Twin Cities (not in comparison to the east or west coast but definitely the best in the area). They have a good selection of broths and a make-your-own sauce bar. Each person gets their own personal pot. If you want to try more than one broth you can get the valentine pot and choose whichever two broths you'd like! I also love that you can individually pick what meats, vegetables, and noodles/rice you want. The price is also really reasonable. I usually spend around $20 when I get the tom yum pot with napa cabbage, egg, tofu, pork, and udon noodles which is plenty filling. You can also conveniently grab bubble tea either while you're waiting for a table or on your way out since there's a Kung Fu Tea (which in my opinion is the best bubble tea shop in the Twin Cities) right inside the front entrance area. I took one star off though since it seems like lately they've been cutting portion sizes.

I was so impressed by the hotpot options at Lepot!! They let you do individual hotpots here and they have a variety of different soup bases that you can choose from. They even had a tomato based soup base which I have not yet been able to find at other hotpot places that I have been to in the US and the last tie I had it was when I was in China. Additionally, if you would like, you can do two soup bases as well. Since I was super excited, I went with both the Mala Soup Base and the Tomato Soup Base - both which were delicious. The Mala Soup Base was spicy, but delicious and I was able to tolerate it (but I have a high spice tolerance). There are also a tons of different meats, vegetables, noodles/rice, etc that you can choose from. One cool thing that they also have is a sauce bar too where you can make your own sauces. There's also a Kungfu Tea located within the restaurant where you can get boba as well. Overall, I loved my dining experience here!

I absolutely loved Lepot and am so glad to have hotpot options here in the Twin Cities! The hotpot establishments are far and few between but Lepot is situated in one of the best locations for buzzing business near the University of MN! Everything was spectacular here from the quality/freshness of the ingredients, attentiveness and service of the staff, and the sauce bar options are amazing! Not to mention the price- I think it's super fair and affordable compared to many options around the nation! Oh, and the broths are super delicious too- I got the valentine split pot with half tomato broth and pork bone broth! Can't wait to be back in the chillier months in fall/winter. Last but not least....the cherry on top- they have a Kung Fu Tea inside the restaurant/shared space! 5/5 for me!

It has been ages since i was here. I love the self serve sauce making. It was fun to try something new. My sauce came out pretty good. The ambiance was good, you can hear people food boiling and cooking. Wasnt too loud. The service was good. They refilled water and help as much as they could. The food was fulfilling, however there was a taste that kinds of kill your taste bud after a while. I think it is the herb in the broth. I got chicken ( it was nicely sliced) napa cabbage and Chinese broccoli, those were really good. The beef was super tender and not too hard. The fish ball was delicious and meatballs. You cant go wrong with meatball. Would come back. It isnt too pricey if u only eat enough. Be careful of ordering too much because you will get full.

OVERALL: Flavorful broth, decent prices, great meal. Most of the questions here are asking if it's AYCE or if they have their combo meals back yet. The answer to both is no. BUT that's almost better because a la carte is pretty good if you're not AYCE type of hungry. FOOD: They have a decent amount of options when it comes to broths and what you can order. After coming here quite a few times I can solidly say my favorite broth is the Tom Yum. Don't worry about the missing the spice factor of the broth, just grab some chili oil from the sauce bar! Their Tom Yum broth is so rich and has depth in its flavor. I love it. I have some go-to favorites like the udon noodles, napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms (of course!) and usually beef or pork (sometimes both). I find that the portion for the fried bean curd, shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo is not worth the cost. That being said, if you love those, definitely get them because they're good, but just a small amount. The meat portions are pretty good and can be split pretty easily for people who aren't super hungry. SERVICE: Service at times can be a bit slow when they're busy but it definitely depends on when you go. Sometimes I have super attentive and stellar service, other times I'll wait 45 minutes for food to arrive. It's definitely hit or miss. ATMOSPHERE: It's very unassuming but still very clean. It's funny to walk in and see a Kung Fu Tea. PRICE: I've attached the menu here but depending on what you're looking for it can range from $1.50-$6 a portion. It adds up fast if you're not paying attention! The broth itself is also $3.50. I've been able to go in here and pay $19 with tax and tip for a good portion and be full afterwards. I think it's a great deal. PRO TIPS: They have parking available in the retail lot under the Marshall. It's also the target parking as well so it can be hard to snag a spot. Otherwise there's a lot of free street parking just a couple blocks away behind the Marshall near bierman. Another pro tip is to keep your broth (if you have leftover) and make your own ramen at home for a nice lunch or even midnight snack. The broth is filled with so much flavor from everything cooking in it.

LePot in Minneapolis initially gave me a horrible experience because I didn't know what to do. However, my second visit was really good after figuring it out. Cool experience and good food! Note to self: Dip the food in the sauce, DON'T get udon noodles, too slippery

Overpriced and terrible service. Avoid coming here, it's not worth it at all. If you're reading this, take this as a warning. The combo meals that come in a bento box, are no longer available. That means your bill will easily be double or more than $30 a person. Everything on the menu is a la carte. We had a group of 5, so it only made sense to do family style so we can get a variety of items. When they serve the food, it is still served on the bento box. A bento box has many different size compartments but they will use was compartment as a serving size or call it more than one. They should use consistent size plates instead since with these compartments, there is absolutely NO PORTION CONTROL. A small serving in a compartment they will call it 2? Lies and scam for money. I understand inflation and the current situation, but a tiny $5 serving for hot pot is ridiculous. Service - absolutely terrible also. Had to ask for water many times before the server finally came and refilled our cups. They offered to refill our broth but never did. They also took forever before taking our order after being seated and obviously the servers didn't care either; taking orders of people who came after us who were seated as soon as he restarted. The worst part is that they know how bad their service is so they put on a MANDATORY tip/gratuity while our group was smaller than 6. Is that even legal? I've been to many hot pot places, and this place WAS THE WORST.

This is the place to go to when you are suuuper hungry, and either with a groups of friends or a cute date. now with their AYCE option that is my favorite recent changeyou can choose from tons of meat, and veggie options for one price . I've been coming here for years, and the staff is always so kind, and respectful. leaving with boba is my other most favorite part of getting hotpot.

If I could eat a final meal on earth, it would be this one. I literally crave the pork bone broth at all times. The beef is always amazing tasting, the veggies are fresh and crisp, and the sauces. The sauces!!! I always have people try the favorite one (beef, mushroom, garlic, chili, sesame, cilantro... I have it memorized) on their first go and it quickly becomes their favorite, too. This is fondue-meets-soup. And you'll love every minute of it. I also love how attentive the staff is without being overbearing. It's nice that they help at the start, then let you cook and talk without excess interruptions.

The food at Lepot is not too bad, but it's a little overrated. We looked at a few hotpot places in Minneapolis and decided on Lepot based on its reviews, but it isn't as good as people say it is. The restaurant itself is a bit small. When we got there, they told us the wait was around 30 mins, but we ended up waiting around 45 mins. We each get our individual pots and broths. There is a station with different sauces/ingredients that you can mix together. We ordered our meat and veggies but had to wait another 15 mins for the broths. The broths were pretty good and the portion sizes for the meat and veggies were decent as well. Don't have high expectations for the meat. We ordered beef fillet ($4.49) but it was extremely chewy and did not taste that good. On the other hand, the egg noodles and the fish tofu were delicious. For the cost of the food, it's pretty worth it. It was about $110 for 5 people. However, the quality of the food can definitely be better. There are certinaly better hot pot restaurants out there. Overall rating: 6.5/10

This is an amazing restaurant for hotpot. Each diner has their own burner to cook their own hotpot. Plenty of broth options and additional items that can be added. The service is efficient and friendly. A great perk is the sauce bar with several options to make your own sauce to compliment your meal. This is a great place to catch up with family/friends where you won't feel rushed to eat and leave right away. I've been coming to this restaurant for years and always look forward to my next visit. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Was craving hot pot after a long drive from out of state. So glad I stopped by! I truly enjoyed different selections of broth and their wide variety of toppings. You are also able to make your own dipping sauce at the sauce bar!

Lots of reviews already so I'll shorten mine and just add tips. SERVICE: 4/5 - the servers were definitely stretched thin but when I pressed the button to call them over it didn't seem to work. It only happened once at the end when I needed a to go for leftovers but the whole time they seemed very busy. But my water was refilled when needed and food was brought in a reasonable time. AMBIANCE: 4/5 clean but a bit hectic and could use some updates to the lighting as well as tables. Our hot pot buttons looked a bit damaged and wires were hanging from the tables. Besides that the artwork was beautiful! EXPERIENCE: 5/5 - out of all my hot pot experiences this one has been one of my favorites due to the number of broths to choose from as well as the sauce bar PRO TIPS: do not over order!! I've seen people make the same mistake time and time again of going overboard with either 4 types of meats / fish balls or choosing ingredients that just do not complement each other. I recommend sticking to fish flavors mixed with some earthy ingredients or beef / pork flavors mixed with veggies and seasoning. But to mix fish balls and beef will lead your broth astray! Another tip - LET YOUR BROTH COOK. People throw everything in wait a minute and then wonder why their broth tastes bad. Soup takes time to build flavor. I recommend putting the things that take longer to cook in first, then grabbing your dipping sauces, and then coming back and adding a bit more of your ingredients in. By the end of the meal your broth always tastes much better than a minute or two in! Having said that, I wish the restaurant offered more appetizers or snacks to munch on while waiting for that broth to build!

I would not recommend - I love hot pot and was excited for the individual hot pot, but when the food came out I was very disappointed. The server was rude and just dropped off our stuff and left and never came back. I got the house spicy and the house tomato broth. All I could taste was peppercorn and it ruined the taste. The jumbo shrimp was smooshy and fell apart. When we paid the bill we asked for a receipt and we paid for food we never ordered. The ambiance was unpleasant and I will not be going back.

For $100 for two people I don't really want to cook my own food. The food quality is generally good if you understand it's the low end of food quality in the first place. Animal trimmings after the real meat is sold elsewhere. $8 for a basic beverage is crazy. The place is heavily Asian and leans Korean. It is not a fancy place. It's hot plates built into a table (hotpot's) and that's it. If you do this, make sure at least someone in your party has some knowledge of cooking because you are going to either boil or fry food.

Lives up to to the hype so far as twin cities hot pot goes, the broth options are fantastic and the add-ins pretty affordably priced. Perpetually busy and expect a bit of a wait both to get a table and when calling in waitstaff, but the staff themselves are friendly.

Great place for hot pot. We were seated right away. Food came out quickly. Good selection of broth. Food was delicious. Wish they would've told us about the sauce station on the side of the restaurant. It made my spicy broth a lot better after eating half way already.

This hotpot is the best thing you could go eat on a cold winter night. THE BEEF: These slices of beef are oh so thick abd delicious. It is almost impossible to wrong with these. No matter what broth you have these are going to melt in your mouth and leave you a delicious savory taste that will make you want more. I recommend cooking it to medium rare and dont be afraid of some red. These are so good you dont even need any sauce to accompany it. THE SAUCE: I love a good sauce bar with my hotpot. Lepot has surpassed my expectations with their sauces as it adds a whole new playing field to taste profiles. Each piece of food i cook in my broth i make sure to dip it into the sauce before eating. Go experiment and make your own!

We were a house hold full of people recovering from the flu, my SO and my daughter and me. We needed some soupy spicy healing food and hot pot seemed to fit the bill. The two adults got two soups each and then a boat load of meats and veggies. Two things I liked was that the menu was super easy to browse and to order from. The service was fast and accurate. The two things I didn't like is that the pot for a valentines (two soups in one pot) is so small you can't cook much in it at all, my second issue is that the soups labeled spicy were not spicy. Otherwise a good experience and I will be going back for a winter warm up soon.

This was genuinely the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The hot pot service is unlike other ones that we've been to, so we asked the servers to explain how their system works multiple times and they blew us off and just kept telling us to figure it out on the iPad. They were rude when we would ask for basic things, like spoons or napkins. It was so chaotic and there was no explanation on how it works, so one of our soups completely burned and was smoking. Horrible experience.

This place is EVERYTHING I've been looking for after living in Chongqing, China (home of ma la hot pot). Casual, authentic, fresh, and delicious. An absolute must! For this hot pot, you get your own pot (instead of sharing like some places). This means if you want more or less spicy you don't have to argue with friends about what to get! First: pick your pot/soup of choice. I went with #9 medium spicy, but my friends did #10 Ma La (numb spicy). Both were delish! Next, order what ingredients you want to add. They have some reasonably priced pre-made trays, but we all wanted to choose our own favorites. There are tons of meats, veggies, and other favorites to get here. I personally loved their beef, potatoes, spinach, enoki mushroom, lotus root, and quail egg. Get rice on the side to rest your food on after cooking in the hot pot! Before your food comes, go make your sauce. Heavy on the sesame oil, add cilantro and peanut: that's my favorite mixture! When your pot and ingredients come, the server will turn on your hot plate. Then start cooking! Put in lotus root and potatoes first: they take the longest to cook. If you've got a hot (spicy) pot, dip in your oil sauce to cook it down. We have AWESOME service here, and the food is reasonably priced. $15-18 for my our own pot and a hefty portion of goodies to cook in it! Free jelly dessert at the end too. Highly recommend.

Top-line: I will most definitely not be back again nor would I recommend this place to a friend. They steal money from their customers. I was excited for this place bc the reviews are great, and I love hot pot. Sadly, the meal and portions were very sub par. Tip: Don't ask for extra spicy broth unless you want to eat spoonfuls of peppercorn bc that's all I could taste for hours after my meal, and it spoiled the meal itself. The actual spice level of the broth wasn't spicy either. They have a cool sauce bar that was a nice add which is why I'm giving a star. RE: payment. I highly recommend asking for a broken down bill. I never received one before paying, and they say they automatically add a 20% tip (which is fine especially during COVID and I tip 20% every time I eat out anyways). After we left, I broke down the cost of our meal and realized they added a $9 tip (53%) to our $17 bill, so we somehow ended up paying a total of ~$28 after taxes. Honestly, if you're going to add an automatic tip to your customer's bills, add what you tell your customers you will be adding (20%) and allow them to add more if they choose. Adding a tip of your choice beyond 20% is tacky and disrespectful especially when you are located in a college campus and many college students are on a tight budget on top of money being tight for many people due to covid. $5 may not seem like much, but the principle is not ok.

I will come back for sure! A friend took me there and the hot pot was amazing! So many choices and options, and a great sauce bar. I plan to come back many times and show others this gem.

What a fun place to try. It was our first time trying hot pot and we are excited to come back! The food was great and the experience is nice! The mushroom broth and the hot and spicy was our favorite base!

My family and I have been coming here almost four times a month for almost two years now no joke , they know us by name, we absolutely LOVE this place and you will NOT be disappointed . Kids have fun eating here cause they get to cook their own food! We are leaving to Florida and know that we will not find a place like this! We will miss Dan and the rest of the team !! You truly have became family to us !! We love you guys !

In America they buy weed. In England it's a joint. In Jamaica, it's reefer, I think. Whereas in France, they prefer "Le Pot." You can't get any of that here. At least I don't think you can. Don't quote me on any of this. This is a pretty cool Hot Pot restaurant located in the college neighbourhood of Minneapolis and I'm a big fan of all of the great ethnic food around here. This one is a little bit expensive but you can wash it down with a Kung Fu Tea in the exact same room because it shares its space with a Kung Fu Tea and they have the same owner as KFT, I believe. Really, what could be better than a Lemon Black Tea from KFT, with hot pot. Yes it'll cost you a pretty penny (actually pennies are kind of ugly, dull, and bronze but not in a sexy fake tan way), but the hot pot is pretty good and the owners are really nice. Servers are really nice too.

The best hot pot in town also very wallet friendly!! I go here at least one a week and everybody I brought here is obsessed!!!

Le Pot is my favorite hotpot restaurant- in fact I went on a hotpot binge and ate here every few days! FOOD: Get the Valentine pot where you can choose 2 separate soup bases- my go to is Real Pork Bone Broth and Tom Yum. Then order a lot of the filet, it's delicious. There's a lot of items to choose from everyone should be able to find something. The sauce station takes the hotpot experience to the next level. I like to keep it simple chili oil and garlic- don't need to make it complicated. Pro tip: order a side of noodles, cook all of it right away and use that extra bowl to lounge your proteins so you don't burn yourself. SERVICE: I've always had excellent service, everyone is very sweet even when we're indecisive. When we press the water button or check button someone comes immediately. No issues with service here... just use the buttons.

What a fun experience! When we went they were only doing al la cadre. There is a super fun little sauces spot where you can mix your own sauce. It was fairly cheap too. Def would return. Also helps that Kung fu tea is in the same building. You get the best of both worlds. You can do simple ingredients or get out of your comfort zone and try tounge or something else new.

Its really casual place but the qualities of foods are not the best; I could taste that they been frozen for a while. Lastly they tip themselves

Food was great, but there are two complains. 1. They charged us automatic 20%tips, but didn't not tell us upfront, and didn't note that in the menu, and the total party was only my girlfriend and I. 2. They told us the combo menu wasn't available, but half way thru our meal, then they brought out combo menu for another table after us, weird.

This is my new go-to place for hotpot in the Twin Cities! Hotpot places are sorely lacking here so thank goodness! I stumbled upon this place earlier this year & it has since helped me get through the loooonnggg winter. There's nothing like slurppin soup with all of my favs to beat the winter blues! THE FOOD I'll admit I was taken aback when I found out it wasn't communal hotpot for everyone at your table. I'm used to clicking spoons & chopsticks fighting for the good stuff. The idea of having my own individual hotpot was weird at first but I've def grown to enjoy this aspect of never having to compromise on exactly what I want, haha. I recommend the pork broth for a solid soup base but I also liked the Tom Yum for that slightly sour taste. The tomato broth was decent to. I didn't care for the mushroom or Chinese sauerkraut broth as much. If you can't decide the broth, pick two! For things to put in, I skip the set combos and just order exactly what I want, but you'll want to make sure there's at least one other person at your table to share the orders since it's too much for 1 & you'll want variety anyways. Get the Chinese broccoli, beef fillet, spam, crown daisy (green veggie), fried bean curd, Napa cabbage, dried bean stick (tofu skin), udon noodle & Chinese sauerkraut. The one thing I found meh was the scallops & fishballs. As for the sauces, it worked well to tweak their sesame recipe with garlic, cilantro & hot pepper. Also, my friend didn't care for the complimentary dessert, but I enjoyed the ice jelly as it was just enough sweetness to end my meal & cool off my burnt tongue. THE AMBIANCE I've been here a few times and it's busy but I've always got a table. The high-ceilings make the place feel bigger than it is. The service has always been great & you just pay up front when you're done so very low-key. The table has a service button you can press at anytime for a server too which brings up it's Asian-ness in my eyes lol. The one downside of this place is the parking situation since it's in the heart of dinkytown. Nearby street parking is free but make sure to leave enough time to find parking & be open to walking a couple blocks away. Overall, this hotpot restaurant is great for our MN community! There's so many more things I have yet to try so I will def be back, especially since winter seems like it will never end this year! Lastly, make sure to take advantage of Le Pot sharing space with Kung Fu Tea and get that for extra dessert! One of the best boba places in the Twin Cities!

We got seated right away which was good. It was our first time at a hot pot so we didn't know much about it. Fair prices. But the service is bad. They have a call button and we had to press it multiple times for someone to come to us, more than one time. They tried charging me for something I didn't get, and tried charging my friend twice for something. They fixed it, which is good. The cuts of meat aren't the best, chewy and flavorless. The soup and sauce barely add flavor. It was our first time so maybe I'm being too judgmental, but I'll try somewhere else if I were to try hot pot again.

This was my first time at this hot pot place and overall I liked it. I had the house spicy broth medium which was actually really spicy. I choose to purchase my hot pot items a la carte which I really like that you can do. I feel I got good portions of the items. They have a call button on the wall that you can press if you need anything which was awesome because they came quickly. Overall I would recommend this place to family and friends.
