Ler Devagar bookstore, located in the vibrant LX Factory in Lisbon, is much more than just a bookstore — it’s a true temple of culture.
Housed in a former printing warehouse, the space preserves industrial details, including an old printing press, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere.
Founded in the early 2000s, Ler Devagar started in Alcântara, moved temporarily to Bairro Alto, and since 2009 has been at LX Factory, where it has become one of the most iconic bookstores in Lisbon — and even in Europe.
In addition to a vast selection of books from all genres, one of the highlights is the huge collection of vinyl records: jazz, rock, classics, indie, and rarities that will delight any music lover. Prices are affordable, and the curation is clearly done with passion.
You’ll also find art exhibitions, cultural events, and a cozy café inside — perfect for reading or simply soaking in the creative vibe.
Well worth the visit, even if you don’t plan on buying anything — though it’s hard to leave empty-handed! 🎶📖
