Les 4 Sergents

This is a former covered garden with a glass roof engineered at Gustave Eiffel's workshop,so it's ambience is very special,our food and wine did not disappoint, I felt that one server taking orders was some what mis-placed, while he had some help, it didn't seem adequate, I enjoyed this special room,and meeting a wonderful couple from Holland who where delightful,this particular street in La Rochelle, is in my opinion, has the most amazing restaurants, and this is one of them 🇫🇷♥️🇫🇷🍾

Really lovely atmosphere; it is elegant and classy. The food and cocktails tasted really nice but are very expensive (especially considering the portion size).

I have been coming to Les 4 Sergents each time I visit La Rochelle for the last 40 years as it is so unique. A lovely setting in an old conservatory but with modern twist. The food is wonderful and service great.

Beautiful location, fabulous historic building, wonderful innovative food, great service!

We order = entree +Plat +dessert The food is Tasty , well cooked as we asked The quantity is generious Their service are very friendly We asked a lot of question and their were very responsive I would really come back once i get a chance to come to Rochelle Keep going 👍

The first three courses were great. The next two took over and hour. Food came out cold. One server told us that the cut of meat took longer to prepare. The other server told us that it was a new item so it took longer. The food that we did get tasted great. After waiting another 30 minutes we paid and left before the last course. Service was disjointed. Most acted confused and like they didn't know what they were doing.

Very nice Restaurant with delicious food, unfortunately with unskilled and indifferent staff which limits the culinary experience

I do NOT recommend: got a horrible food poisoning there. I went there last night and i ordered the huîtres and the Saint-jacques. I believe is the Saint-jacques that wasnt right because I shared the Huitres with my husband and he was ok, its only me who got food poisoning. A part from the quality of food, the service and the atmosphere were very nice.

A stormy night and we entered dripping water from our umbrellas and raincoats. They didn't blink and helped us. Very professional. Lovely restaurant with an elegant vibe. But if romance in the air. Had their tasting menu which was good value. I ordered a fish which I knew was white but that was it. It was one of the most sweet and luscious pieces of fish I ever had. I found out it was hake so there you go. I had some cheeses for dessert which were ok. Wine was good. Would go here when you want a nice night out.

4 sergent is a classic in La Rochelle. Fancy place where you can also find affordable menus. Must-see !

This is a solid 4 1/2 stars for me. The lunch formule was a bargain at 27 euros. It is truly a quality dining experience. The restaurant itself is perfectly decorated, brining the old winter garden to life with trees and elegant details. The food was also delicious. I had the butternut squash soup with the delicious sesame cookie and fois gras garnish. It was probably my favorite part of the meal. For my main I had the pork cheeks, but don't let that scare you away. The juice was awesome and the meat was as tender as it gets. The Black Forest cake for dessert was beautifully presented and very good as well. The service here was top notch, which is always a pleasant surprise in France. This is a must when visiting La Rochelle!!

Wonderful meal and service. You must try the Filet of beef with peppercorn sauce. We had the fish tartare and oysters for appetizer, simply amazing

Probably one of the nest restaurant to go to in La Rochelle. The setting is lovely and original. The staff very professional. We had the 18 euros menu. There are 2 other set menus but more expensive. There is also a menu for 23 euros with the day's market catch. Interestng. Food is very lovely the fish dish are all yummy, the cocktails are nice. I don't really know La Rochelle it looks like Restaurant to visit before you go. Make sure you book though.

The decor is amazing, it's like eating in a giant conservatory! We came early cos we had to catch a movie after, next time we'll make sure we don't have a film to go to because we would have liked to have stayed longer. The cocktails were really original and tasty, strong enough to get you a bit tipsy after just a few sips (or maybe we're just lightweights). Whilst we waited for the entrees we were served a selection of "mise en bouche" which were inventive and tasty. The main meal was great although the portions weren't very big for the price but we certainly enjoyed them. We would have loved to have tried some desert and more wine but we had to leave rather quickly due to the fact that we were enjoying our time there so much we forgot to check the time and nearly missed our movie! Basically a great place for special occasions or a regular spot if you have a big enough wallet :)
