Great find So we walked up and down Rue Mouffetard searching for a suitable restaurant. We started with Les Baux de Paris, but continued searching, just in case something even better was about. But we came back to it as it was the most appealing. The blonde lady who runs the place was very friendly, and very funny. She offered us an English menu - her own English, by her own admittance, was a bit weak, as is my own French but we got by fine. The waitress was also very good, friendly and has good English (thankfully) and also a good sense of humour. There is a 3 course menu, which although called a Lunch menu, we were allowed to order from in the evening. It's good value (and the tap water in a jug is free!) . There is a "Sirloin with pepper sauce" and NO! You don't have to pay extra for it, like you do at home. I got it, and I liked it very much. I promised them I would come back again, particularly as I was staying at the Young and Happy hostel immediately across the road. As we were out late the next 2 nights, we never did, but we made a point of going back there for our final evening, so impressed were we by them. Sadly, and unusually, it was closed that particular evening which was disappointing. But if I'm in Paris again, I would definitely go back ... even just for the laughs I had with the manager and the waitress - and the good food too.

We really enjoyed every aspect of our dinner at Les Baux de Paris. The food was delicious and made with pride. This is our second time dining here from our last trip to Paris. We absolutely love it!! They know their menu well with great detail. The atmosphere is very lively full of joy and happy energy. Our servers were so helpful and kind. We absolutely loved our time there.

The food and service are absolutly amazing! We came to Paris for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we found this little gem by mistale. Felt welcomed the minute we stepped foot inside and have back again in a week, maybe another 2 more tikes before our trip is over!!!

I tried the duck breast with orange sauce and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly medium, tender and juicy, and the orange sauce added a wonderful balance of sweetness and acidity. A true French classic, and very well executed

We were able to get a seat quickly. It is a quaint & charming little restaurant. The owner greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed, as did the other wait staff. The bread was delicious and tasted like it was just baked. Our table had the papas brava -which was delish and the legumes grilles - with cheese on top. I had a Greek Salad was incredible. I highly recommend it! My daughter had the Boeuf Bourguignon. It was tender and tasty with just the right balance of flavor. Great place - stop here.

Food made well and served with big smiles! Thank you for making our dinner extra special. All the food recommendations were great. For tapas we had the shrimp (crevette flambees), legume grilles, bruschetta. And had boeuf gourguignon, noix st Jacques (which was ok) for mains. For dessert we were recommended to try the creme brulee and profiterolles - both which were decent. Ambience was mid century with a Greek flair interestingly. Overall a decent experience.

An absolute must-eat in Paris! Super close to the Pantheon and Jardin du Luxembourg. The owner really makes the experience! He is so welcoming and charismatic and the food is delicious! So fresh after days of heavy French fare!
