We celebrated my birthday and the first anniversary of our engagement at Bourgeois Restaurant, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but the real highlight was the service. Ariana, our waitress, delivered true 5-star hospitality. As someone with experience working in a luxury hotel, I can confidently say her service was on that level – warm, attentive, and professional. The ambiance in the heart of Bucharest’s Old Town added to the charm. Highly recommended for any special occasion. Thank you, Bourgeois and Ariana, for a truly memorable evening!

This is a lovely restaurant in the old town, I ordered the steak and for me it needed to be cooked a little bit more, the waitress returned with a new steak and it was delicious I have to say this restaurant is top class, My wife had the seafood mix and she loved it. When we finished our meal, the waitress returned with a free dessert as apology and said they take care of their customers. Thank you Anna we loved our meal and our time in Bucharest.

We had a beer to cool off at noon. There is no disturbing party music, it is a nice place to relax.

We dined here twice during our stay in Bucharest, and both times the food was amazing, the service excellent and the atmosphere cozy. The first night I had the filet with mushroom sauce and baked potato. My husband had the lamb chops. Both meals were delicious. The next time I had the ribeye with sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes with a Gorgonzola sauce. My husband had BBQ ribs and fries. Another delicious dinner. Our server both nights was Ariana. She was very sweet and attentive. I highly recommended this restaurant if you want delicious food, good service and warm atmosphere!!!

Really tasty food but unfortunately the service lets this restaurant down. We were waiting over an hour for our food despite the restaurant being quiet. When it finally arrived, 3 of the four courses were cold. We'd waited that long that we didn't want to send it back. Good selection of drinks.

With nearly a full day to spare before our departure, we decided to leave our luggage here while we explored the area. We ordered breakfast in the morning and later returned for lunch, enjoying some food and drinks before picking up our bags. The space was spotless, the atmosphere calm and pleasant, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Don’t be fooled by their initially reserved expressions; the moment we greeted them, they revealed themselves to be some of the kindest and most accommodating people we met on our trip. Highly recommended!

Pet friendly terrace, the personnel pays attention to details for both, humans and their pets. ❤️ Good food, good atmosphere. Nice place to enjoy your coffee!

I guess it’s…fine? My chicken pineapple curry was…fine, even if there was little pineapple and even less chicken to be found in my dish. My friend absolutely hated everything about his burger and fries. The bun was dry, the meat overcooked, the fries clearly the frozen kind, he said. The waitress was super friendly so there’s that. The cat who ate quite a bit of my friend’s patty was also cool. You know what wasn’t cool? The cockroaches that kept coming out from under the building deciding to chill next to people’s tables. Him being a local, he told me that, sadly, this is to be expected in the Old Town in Bucharest.
