Les Etoffes is hands-down my favourite store in Montreal. Welcoming, unpretentious staff and gorgeously curated men/women's clothing, accessories, and jewelry - including many brands not available at most Canadian retailers (e.g., Aeyde, Saskia Diez to name a few). In the past, they have even collaborated with larger brands, such as Common Projects, to design and create their own sneakers. Aside from the items sold at Les Etoffes, the store's uniquely beautiful interior design is a reason in it of itself to stop by. As other reviewers have mentioned: Yes the pieces are expensive, however, this is the kind of place that makes you want to save up your money to support it. Truly a wonderful store that I will always return to whenever I am back in Montreal.

Great shop that is a little under-appreciated in Montreal. Very well-stocked with an excellent selection of brands, many that you can't get elsewhere (like Lemaire.. well, apart from SSENSE but who shops at SSENSE?). Definitely high / ultra high-end, but everything is beautiful and well-designed. Worth a visit for men's and women's clothing & an intimate vibe with very knowledgable staff.

A small store with a very grand vision. Like another Yelper said, when you walk into Les Étoffes you really sense that you are entering the store's world. The colors (black, rust, navy, cream), the layout, and the clothes themselves all go together. The feeling is warm and inviting, so you want to go explore all the pieces on display. I used to sell yarn and fabric, so I loved the different textures and materials on display, from a luxuriously dense knit sweater to an elegant silk blouse. The design of each item was trendy but approachable -- I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda lady but I saw things I would wear. So why didn't I come home with a whole new wardrobe? Price, of course, sigh. Les Étoffes is definitely a special-occasion boutique, and alas I was only sightseeing. While I was there, though, a young man was trying on shirts and mentioned that he was making his first L.E. purchase. It seemed like he'd been looking forward to that day for a while.

This place was really impressive. A nice selection of hip unique labels and meticulously hand picked vintage pieces. The decor inside was very thoughtful. I always like when shops have a turntable and a stack of old records. Its a good sign. The gentlemen working here, Tyler I believe, was incredibly helpful and super nice.

Probably Montreal's most carefully curated clothing boutique. Certainly the most genuinely friendly of its carefully curated clothing boutiques. Contrary to one of the earlier reviews, there's no vintage clothing here, but you will find a small, but smart selection of men's and women's clothes by small and up-and-coming designers from Europe and North America.

What you will find here - cherry picked goods that hang like dark gems creating a high-fashion essence that is the Etoffe universe. I'd love to go in here and put together outfits so me too could be an Etoffe-girl - dark, mysterious, edgy without trying too hard.. But the stuff is SO freaking expensive. Of course it is - it is ultra designer stuff like runway magazine. If I had millions of dollars I could just spend on whatever, it would be a fun trip to come here. But sadly, I am broke. Going in this store is just depressing. Seeing lovelies that will not be mine. So I'm not giving the store 5 stars. It's like slaps in the face flipping the tag over to see the prices. Unless you have money that you can burn, don't go in here expecting to buy something. Go in here to window shop and wish you were rich as F.

The Spot Les Etoffes can be found nearing the quieter end of Boulevard St-Laurent, but by no means out of the way. You'll recognize it by its fashionable black wooden storefront. Step into this store and you'll immediately be transported away from Montreal. Where to exactly? We couldn't tell you, but this store is distinctly un-Montreal, in the best sense of the word. The orange sun peeking around the mountain and pouring in the front window on a fall afternoon makes this an especially pleasant shopping experience. What's Really Good? Les Etoffes is run by a stylish Montreal couple who definitely know how to pick their items, and what their clientele are looking for. Where many stores offer never-ending selections, this sleek looking boutique has a special selection of timeless pieces that vary in price ranges to fit anyone willing to pay for quality. You'll also like the quiet and friendly atmosphere. You'll Wanna Know Keep an eye out for the wallpaper. You'll get a kick out of it.

If you're looking for black, things that go with black or looking for unique pieces & classics staples with details than this is the place. I highly recommend this Mile End shop I know you will find something. Friendly service- the owner is super cool and laid back. While visiting Montreal for the weekend (from Victoria) I visited numerous clothing boutiques. Les Étoffes was the most impressive. Thoughtful curation. Kind, helpful and friendly owners. Beautiful wallpaper. If I were to ever own and operate a boutique I would aspire to have it be like Les Étoffes. Well done!
