Les Filles Cafè

Enjoyed the food and the ambience was great with adequate indoor and outdoor seating that’s not too cramped. Music was tasteful and not too disturbing. They were understaffed though so it takes some effort to call staff’s attention get tables, or to place your order… a little patience needed to enjoy the place 😊

I had always wanted to try this restaurant because of its ambience and beautiful yard, and yesterday I finally did. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t feel very friendly. One woman with glasses seemed unhappy, and when we asked if we could order from another menu, she said “no” in a way that felt a bit dismissive. The food itself was not very special and quite overpriced: potatoes (€9) and baba ganoush (€12) were disappointing. I also ordered a chai latte, which arrived almost cold and took a long time to be served. The environment, however, is truly beautiful and worth experiencing — but overall, the service and food did not match the charm of the place.

The atmosphere is really nice and has a natural touch to it. The service personnel are friendly but seemed a bit understaffed for the evening. The Negroni was good. The miso fish and babaganoush were delicious, but the fries were too salty for my liking. Overall, a good restaurant with good food and drinks.

The environment was amazing and it’s such a nice place, but then it’s a shame that the quality of the food didn’t match the expectations. We went for brunch and I asked for the Les Filles toast (brioche, avocado, spinach, poached egg), and when I opened the poach egg is was very watery (almost raw) and the color inside was very bright - they did not seem like organic eggs, as they claim so -, and this happened to me and my two other friends that asked for dishes with poached eggs. So we asked to change the poached egg of our dishes to scrambled eggs and the staff misunderstood us and unfortunately brought a plate with scrambled eggs (that were not even good and tasted like those from the hotel’s breakfast that have flower and milk, and are kinda tasteless - in the picture) and two smalls pieces of bread, for which they charged us 11€… Also, our other friend asked for the matcha pancakes and the proportion was ridiculously small for the price - also in the picture. Overall, so disappointing… The only thing really good were the fresh fruit juices, points for that!

1. Waiting for an order is very long. Half of the seats are empty, but just latte and water had to wait half an hour. 2. The waiters have unhappy faces. It is not very pleasant to watch this. 3. The table may not be cleared for a long time and you have to sit in this trash can.

Very disappointed at this place… expected so much better for the looks and the prices. We asked for the pancakes and avocado toast with poach egg and the pancakes were tiny, literally the size of one single pancake and costed 10,50€. The eggs in the avocado toasts came with a really weird liquid coming from the inside of the egg so we asked to change it to scrambled eggs since it is dangerous to eat almost completely raw egg especially in the hot weather. They brought us this toast in the picture without avocado, 2 tiny pieces of bread and scrambled eggs that tasted a lot of milk. And they charged us more for this than the price of the actual avocado toast we ordered initially. The attitude of the waiters when we complained just made it worse, they didn’t assume it was their mistake and told us we were the ones who asked for this. What a disappointment this place was. Such a shame because of the nice environment and decoration of the place.

Great vibe, decor, and food! They have some of the best baba ghanoush I’ve ever had in Barcelona - it’s a must try!

Had a lovely meal here. We had the labneh for starter and the mushroom burger and risotto and all the food was great. Their €25 bottle of wine was nice too. Service started off very well - we were shown to our table promptly, orders taken and got our drinks in no time and it was just a short wait for our mains. After that it took ages for our plates to be cleared away and we eventually gave up trying to flag someone down for a dessert menu. That was a shame as otherwise it would have been perfect! But it did seem quite busy. Interior is cool and stylish with nice furnishings. Great options for vegetarians.
