Great experience here! They make different sort of cheese. There is a store and a nice wooden sitting area beside it where you can buy a taste tray and sit and enjoy different delicious types they make. The nice lady explain the history of the place and different type of cheese in english. Loved the taste of all the cheese there😋😍🥰

Their cheese tasted very good! We tried the sampler and a Baguette, the total was about 27 dollars. We liked the cheese, which tasted much better than the cheese I usually get from grocery stores near where I live. I'm no expert on cheese, but it was worth taking a break of a day and enjoying it.

Nice little cheese shop. Their cheese platter is worth a try - and is easily shareable. Wish they had a toaster oven or something to heat up the pizzas so the kids could have a snack. The cheeses are not portable for your trip home unless you bring along a cooler, but the many preserves in sealed jars are great for the ride home.

A must stop when visiting I’isle d’Orleans. It has a historical significance and have maintained some of the original recipes. Good value to get the tasting package… you get to try some of their best sellers. They also have some sparkling ciders. Unfortunately, they run out of baguette on our visit. They replaced it with crackers but unfortunately, the crackers don’t complement the cheeses. We enjoyed their cheese cakes and the ice cream. It’s like an ice cream with their cheese. There’s also a cute picnic table where you can enjoy your cheese and wine. Free parking, nice folk, washroom is a porta toilette.

This store is renowned as the first place to bring Italian cheese to North America. They offered an amazing cheese platter, and the lady at the front desk was one of the kindest people I've ever met. My only concern was that, as a vegetarian, the platter included a piece of sausage. We had to rearrange the platter to ensure the meat that didn't touch the cheeses was removed, then microwave it to try them. Unfortunately, most of the cheeses required refrigeration or freezing, which made it difficult for us to take them while traveling. However, I highly recommend trying their first cheese—it was grilled and had a texture similar to a mix of paneer and mozzarella. It was brilliant, and I loved it.

A Little Gem for Cheese Lovers! If you’re into cheese, this place is a dream. Super charming, with the kindest and most attentive staff! You feel welcome the second you walk in. It’s one of those spots that brings back childhood memories with every bite. The flavours are nostalgic and comforting, like something you grew up with but didn’t know you were missing. Just a lovely little gem full of cheesy joy and jam.

Yelp
The cheese was phenomenal and the staff was great! We had the traditional grilled cheese and cheesecake, and bought some cheese to take home!

Yelp
Île d'Orléans is known for its agrotourism, as the island is full of cideries, pick-your-own fruit, wineries, and this delicious cheese shop which makes fresh cheeses daily. These cheeses are also the first made in north America. We did the $3 tasting and tried the La Faisselle, a fromage blanc type of creamy cheese, that is slightly our and goes well mixed with maple sugar or jam. The second cheese was La Paisselle, a delightful cheese reminiscent of the Greek Halloumi and it is served grilled. It was amazing. It was pretty busy and it was one of our lasts stops of the day, but I'd definitely one back and buy one of their tasting cheese platters. Fresh cheese curds are also available and if you've ever had them, they are heavenly nuggets of buttery goodness that goes "squeak" in your mouth (it's the cheese used in poutine).

Yelp
Try cucumber jam! Sounds weird but it pairs well with funky cheeses. The shopkeepers are knowledgeable and very helpful. Best of all you will meet other cheese lovers like yourself! There is a little eating area, so that you can try the charcuterie platter that is on sale by the cash register. I wish the shop offered a variety of cheese tasting trays, I didn't ask or see it on the menu, but maybe they would if you asked. It was busy when I was there, but that is because their cheeses are delicious!Worth a stop.

Yelp
While traveling the island we stopped in at this cheese shop. We decided to stop in after seeing a few reviews and overall enjoyed the stop. When we entered the rustic looking building we walked into a showroom floor of cheeses. The selection here was decent, but since it was the off season we missed the majority of their items. The staff here was polite and told us exactly how to prepare some of their selection. In the end we walked out with a few different styles of cheese but wished that they gave a little more history on their products.

Yelp
If you're thinking of making a day trip to tour the island, totally recommend it. And a stop here for some cheeses is a nice break. You can get a plate with some crackers for a not-so-cheap price, but you can sit in the back (covered from the elements). It's a simple experience and they take a deposit for the plate (kind of odd). As for the cheeses themselves, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed by them. They seemed a little bland but they are mainly softer cheese with more subtle tastes. Overall, a pleasant experience and a good stop on a tour around the island.

Yelp
The cheese was delicious! When visiting Quebec City, my wife an I spent a day tasting wines on the Isle d'Orleans. Les Fromages de I'Isle d'Orleans was in between the wineries we visited, and was a perfect pit stop. We ordered a cheese plate for $17 CAD, which was reasonably priced. They offered a variety of cheeses including sharp and mild cheddar's, a cheese spread which you could put on crackers provided on the cheese plate, along with a grilled cheese (literally a slab of cheese that was grilled, not a sandwich). Please note they do not serve alcohol here. But if you're touring the island, you will find that there is no shortage of wineries. The service was a bit slow, but the employees were knowledgeable, very friendly, and are able to converse in English.

Yelp
Yes. America's first cheese still takes delicious toasted in fry pan. Juices. Jams. Lots of other cheeses. Cheese glace? Iced cream cheese? Try it.

Yelp
At the time of our visit, we were only offered only 1 cheese, the paillasson, to taste and that had to be fried. I appreciate the history and my kids were entertained that the 2 workers dressing the part although the owners or the managers were not. I was expecting several cheeses to try so I was disappointed.

Yelp
First of all, definitely make a day out of this island. I love cities, but this island was a much needed break from Quebec City. This cheese place has the first cheese made in North America which is great. Do the cheese sampling and when they ask if you want maple sugar on it, say yes! There is a back porch where you can hang out, but other than that there's not much to do after the tasting.

Yelp
I would give zero stars if I could. The staff there was incredibly rude. She literally handed us the sample, didn't even say what kind of cheese it was, and then said "okay, bye." We were shocked. The cheese was rubbery.
