Google
Eclectic and quirky brasserie famous for their mussels (moules et frittes). It's all self-serve: you walk up to the counter to get your food and drinks, then you find a table. The atmosphere is casual and on a first-name basis. Daily changing menu including vegetarian dishes.

Nice place with an awesome bicycle-themed decoration. There is a large choice of tasty meals suitable for vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters. The staff is nice and the prices affordable.

We discovered this place randomly. It turned out to be one of the best 🥹 The food was delicious and the vibes were great. Totally recommend!!

Google
Great place for a casual evening. The place is decorated in a rather chaotic but cozy manner making it feel like some kind of place one might find pirates having a great evening. The food is alright, nothing special and the place can get very loud. They also have a good selection of wines and the service is kind.

Google
Super atmosphere with industrial decor and eclectic setting. Food must be ordered at the counter but is then served. Service is friendly. I tried moules-frites which were amazing ! Definitely would go there for a drink with friends tasting tapas/antipasti. Can sit outside or inside.

Original decoration and an eclectic collection of items can be found: bicycles 🚲, antique watches, a skeleton 😅 Also 2 pinball machines , and table soccer 😀 Food: Flammkueche, mussels 🦪, Salami and cheese antipasti, and more can be ordered. May I suggest IPA beer 🍺 from tap? That would be awesome. Highly recommended 👍🏽 😀 👍🏽

Yelp
Schaut von aussen nach nichts aus aber drinnen geht die Post ab. Ist definitiv ein Inn-Lokal und wird stark besucht. Self-Service, der aber sehr gut organisiert ist. Super Stimmung und immer wieder einen Besuch wert.

Yelp
A truly great place with lively atmosphere and tasty food as well as wines. Absolutely love the spirit! Nothing fancy but great

Yelp
Just came here for dinner at 4pm. Says on yelp theyre open, but they were very closed when I arrived.

Yelp
How do you say "crazy crap on the walls" in German? Well, no matter, it's a fun and funky place that's kind of like a mini food court. It's attached to a market selling gourmet items, and the large open seating area is surrounded by several counters selling a variety of items. There's the bar, of course, for your drinks, and then a tapas/charcuterie counter, dessert counter, and some other stuff I don't remember. My friend and I weren't terribly hungry so we just got an antipasti platter and a slab of country pate. Accompanied by several good hefeweizens, it was a fun evening, especially when you see a painting of a biker Jesus on the wall (see photo). When we first got there around 5pm it was pretty quiet, but soon after a whole bunch of young workers from the nearby Technopark complex came streaming in and made for quite a lively scene. Worth a visit!

Yelp
Moules Frites, obviously --- a giant pile of shells, but small mussels in each, so worked out to a pretty reasonable dinner. Underwhelming fries, good salty soup, passable salad. Bicycles to look at --- ranging from fine-commuter-with-some-style to "Not For Sale --- or 5000 CHF" (I guess "Not For Sale" wasn't stopping the questions?). Lots of late-80s road bikes with downtube shifters and loud colors. Ricard for an apéritif --- large pour in a small glass left almost no room for water. I'll always take some extra booze, but pastis is better cloudy than neat. Wine selection by the glass was completely different than the wines-by-the-glass chalkboard. An out-of-date printed sign I can understand, but a chalkboard? Tiny tables, and at least two counters to deal with (food and drink) rather than a waiter. All in all, a crazy, discombobulated, strange place with some good mussels.

Yelp
Great fun atmosphere! In the back they have bikes for sale and in the front there is a counter where you can get food. The setup is a bit of a mosh pit but I like the casualness of the whole place. There are more intimate nooks in the back if you want some more space/privacy. You can go right up to the bar and grab a beer on tap or there have specials that are written on the board. You could even share a bottle of wine while you wait for a table to open up. The deli/market next door is connected to the "restaurant/bar" and I've perused it, it looked like mostly Italian fare. The bartenders are always really friendly and I hear the moules frites is great. You can also get some stinky cheese w a nice charcuterie plate if you like. Make reservations if you really want to secure a place to sit and dine!

Yelp
REALLY love this place: the feel, drinks, & food! The staff were also cool, and never, ever rude. 4 of us dined here on Sat. without a reservation, but could still find a spot without hesitation. We enjoyed some bites on an Apero plate. Then we devoured the Moules Frites-couldn't wait! So come on down to chill and chat with friends in this spot- feels comfortable and cool, like a second-hand shop!

Brian M.

Yelp
The food was very good, but be warned it is a bit bohemian find a seat and order from different stations and they are cash only, I was expecting more of a sit down type service and have never seen a cash only spot in Switzerland before.

Yelp
Only had a beer here, so i still need to try their food however; i loved the atmosphere here! It's very hipster/retro with a mixed crowd from young to old, business men to chefs from the restaurant next door :) Definitely going back to check it out for longer and maybe even try some food. You have a little shop where you can buy random stuff, a bar for drinks and then another counter where you can order food.

Yelp
Love this place for so many reasons! It's so eclectic, that each time of day has different experiences. Afternoon Great place for patio drinks. Dinner Lovely dining environment with table cloths and great lighting. *please note I have not eaten here. Only drinks. That said, the food looks great. Evening The energy at this place is incredible. Every time I go there's a great crowd and live music. Super cool! Bonus Free wifi Highly recommend you check it out!

Yelp
So, based on the reviews of Les Halles here on Yelp, I thought it'd be great to try out. You know, I'm beginning to trust the reviews more and more as the place was really cool, service quite good, prices very fair and most importantly, the food was really good. We had an Antipasta platter, muscles in creme sauce, shrimp and a piece of cheese cake along with wine and beer. All were really, really good. The muscles weren't the best I've ever had (hence the 4, not 5 star review) as I really like mine with more garlic and a bit more bite. The location is easy to get to, right next to the Hardbrücke train station and it's almost overload when you walk in to see the craziness that abounds for decor. As a cyclist, I love the fact that there are bikes hanging on the walls and ceiling as well as bikes for sale and photos on the walls. It's definitely going on the list of places to visit again, especially with visitors. Our friends would really get a kick out of the place.

Yelp
Even though I go here way too infrequently, I've loved it every time. Already when you walk in you get it. You just get it. The atmosphere is laid-back and feels a little like a street market in a foreign town. The prices for the drinks are okay, but I have yet to actually eat there and try the moules et frites. Looking forward to that.

May T.

Yelp
Muscles in the plain wine sauce was nice. Servers are friendly to non German speakrs. Seems to get busy so that can suck. This is a very casual place. You go in and order food and pay on once side, drinks from the bar. You find your own seat and they bring your food to you. There's also a take-away on one side as well. Vibe is very urban hippie chic with an overload of stickers and bike gear on display. Menu is limited to small plates so this is more of a drinking place that happens to have decent food. Since I work around the corner, I can see myself coming here for a quick dinner or just drinks with coworkers.

Yelp
Major swag points. Been here for a work lunch with a partner from E&Y, as well as with friends for drinks avoiding the typical tropical downpours summer in Zurich can so conveniently thow at you. Both times cool ambiance, friendly & patient staff and nice food. Lunch buffet beats most in the area, something for everyone as well as something to entertain or be a conversation starter during work meals or general bar chatter. Achtung! Be careful of all the kitchy chic things on the walls.. especially when the drinks get a 'flowin. Wenn Sie jemanden zu beeindrucken moechten, kommt schnell nach les halles!

Yelp
Really great atmosphere, perfect for a friday night with live music. Hard to find a table and kitchen closes at 9:45 but always the possibility to have big cheese and salami plates. Was a great time and will definitly go there again.

Andres B.

Yelp
good tap local small brew beers its true, the moules frites are really really good. funky fun vibe gets packed though.

Allen T.

Yelp
Trendy place. Would be fun with a crowd. They told me that half the tables are by reservations. Seemed impossible to get a table on walk in. I was alone and an exception to wait of those coming in off the street. You can eat at the bar but that didn't seem practical to me. I had moules et frites and would definitely go back. You order at the counter and they bring it to you but that's the only similarity to American fast food if that's what you start envisioning.

Michael R.

Yelp
Borders on hipster-dive without coming across pretentious. Eclectic, funky vibe. Bikes and memorabilia hanging from the walls. Good beer. I'll be back, and predict 4 stars creeping into 5 after a few more visits...

Markus W.

Yelp
This could be a really easy-going place, but the facts that they do not accept reservations, do not serve you at the table (need to order the food at the counter, they will bring it then), and do not accept credit cards makes it more annoying. But then it is one of the few places where we can have moules frites at an OK price.

Jakob J.

Yelp
Pretty nice place, with beers at fair prices. Cool and student-like atmosphere. Food is a little too expensive and not super-creative, and many items were sold out(but that might be just that one evening....). With minor improvements they could easily earn another star in my book.

Qype User (Sadaak…)

Yelp
I like this place a lot. I went specifically for the Moules, Mussels served in 3 ways. You can order it with an Italian tomato sauce, a White Wine sauce or nature in no sauce. I would highly recommend the White Wine sauce very very nice. The place is very funky, a cross between an Italian family restaurant, a Frecnh bistro and a Thrift store. They also serve a small salad buffet, and a Bistecca (Steak). If you're looking for a very relaxed and informal place with great Mussels this is it and it isn't expensive either. Normal prices for Zürich.

Qype User (kbu…)

Yelp
I can only second Sadaaka's recommendation, if you look for a relaxed infomal place and like mussels this is the place to go. It has a very alternative and individual feel to it. I had the mussels with the Italian sauce and they were very good as well. Don't worry you can also get salads, tapas and burger. As it was some weeks ago that I went there I can't tell anymore what else they had. I loved the place. Don't forget to book before you go.

Yelp
Just greatfor a spontious dinner - if it's not already crowded. Enjoy the salad bar or the moules marinieres!! Very fair prices! War supertoll - endlich mal dort rein zu gehn statt nur immer vorbei zu laufen. Hatte was vom der salat bar (ca 7 verschiedene salate, auch erbsen und couscous) und werde das nächste mal die moules marinieres nehmen :-)

Lucy L.

Yelp
Funky place - eclectic interior. But not clear how the service works ( order at bar or is there table service). Nice place for drinks and light food. There is a market to purchase groceries attached to the restaurant/bar.

Clark H.

Yelp
If you're from the Pacific Northwest do not attempt the moules et frites. These tiny tasteless mollusks will disappoint. Fries just ok. Ravioli chef boyardee equivalent. Weird disjointed place with a bar, pay-first tapas selection, dessert bar and grocery store on the side. No amount of street bikes can make this food good.

Yelp
I haven't eaten here yet but have had drinks a couple of times. Fun ambience, music after dinner service, and relatively cheap drinks makes for a good night out. Hipster level of service.
