Les Hauts de Gageac

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! Our hosts were incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming. Our room was spacious with a cozy bed area, sitting area, and patio with fantastic views. Our hosts had thought of everything- slippers, robes, bedside charging cords, and reading lights on both sides of the bed. The breeze was so yummy in the afternoons relaxing and resting between the day and the evening. The pool is gorgeous and the views of the valley are just magical. Our breakfast each morning was generous and delicious with fresh orange juice, really good coffee, pastries, hams, yogurts, fresh fruit…Such a special place!!!! Thank you L and F for such an amazing time in the Dordogne! We will miss it.

Stayed for 5 nights in August. Was a fantastic place to stay. Room was really nice and the gardens and pool were lovely. Everything was perfect. But the best part of staying here was getting to meet Laurence & Frederic. They are two of the nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet who couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be going back.

We stayed in July and had an incredible stay! We had arranged a 3 night stay and months prior to arriving I was able to discuss our stay with Laurence and Frederic who were both incredibly friendly, accommodating and welcoming. They helped make a marriage proposal incredibly special to us both! We also had excellent service and attention to detail throughout our stay - I would highly recommend!

An amazing little place in one of the more gorgeous locations in France. Laurence and Frederic are fantastic hosts with great tips whether for visiting, eating or anything else. Their gîte is absolutely delightful and I highly recommend a lazy afternoon at the swimming pool if you have a chance

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Les Hauts for which we thank the hosts Laurence and Frédéric very much. We thoroughly appreciated the warm reception and service they provided each day. The location of the property (just a short walk from the popular town of La Roque-Gageac), the style of the room and it’s spotless cleanliness, the breakfast in front of the open log fire, the super wine selection, and the beautiful pool and gazebo area were all outstanding. Even in mid October, the sheltered location of the pool afforded us 3 or 4 hours of warm sunshine each afternoon. The next time we visit the Dordogne river valley, we’ll definitely be staying at Les Hauts again.

We spent four nights at Les Hauts de Gageac. It is so tranquil and peaceful set a short distance away from the tourist bustle of La Roque Gageac yet within a few minutes walk. The views are stunning overlooking the beautiful Dordogne valley. After a busy day's sightseeing it was wonderful to return to the swimming pool which was a haven of calm and I could barely ready my book as the views kept attracting my attention! We stayed 3 nights in the Spacieuse and 1 night in the Intime which was perfectly big enough for my very tall husband. Laurence and Frederic were fantastic, friendly hosts, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us with restaurant bookings and gave us excellent advice on markets and fortress towns. I had not visited the Dordogne for 25 years and had forgotten just how magnificent this beautiful valley is. If possible pre book a hot air balloon ride. We left it too late so we will just have to come back!! Can't wait!

I have stayed at many hotels and B&B's over the years and this by far was the best experience I've ever had. The cute couple that owns the home provides an incredible breakfast and ensures all the little details are in order for the stay. The pool was also well maintained and a joy to relax at because of how peaceful the property is. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the middle of the gorgeous Dordogne valley this is the place to stay!

What a beautiful experience! Les Hauts de Gageac was the perfect home base for exploring the Dordogne. Breakfast was extraordinary, our accommodations were superior, and having the pool area as a place to relax made our stay very pleasant. Laurence and Frederic were delightful hosts who made Andy and me feel very welcome.
