Subject: A Memorable Stay at Hôtel Les Jardins de la Villa - My Sincere Appreciation|Dear Team at Hôtel Les Jardins de la Villa,|First, please accept my apologies for the previous review mix-up. I'm delighted to properly share my exceptional experience during my stay from June 14th to 17th.|From my evening arrival, your reception team greeted me with genuine hospitality that set the tone for my entire visit. The efficient check-in process demonstrated your professional standards, and I was immediately impressed by my first-floor room's elegant design. The generous king bed with premium linens, thoughtful bedside water bottles, and well-appointed minibar created an oasis of comfort. The spacious marble bathroom with its rainfall shower became my daily sanctuary.|Your wellness facilities deserve special mention. The sauna and jacuzzi provided perfect relaxation, though I particularly appreciated how your staff explained the reservation system so clearly. My massage with Olga was transformative - her intuitive technique addressed every knot from my travels. (A must-book experience for future guests!)|Each morning began with your outstanding breakfast service. The buffet's attention to detail - from flaky viennoiseries to perfectly cooked eggs and an impressive cheese selection - rivaled Paris's finest cafés. The five jams were a delightful touch I still remember fondly.|Your location offered the perfect Parisian balance: peaceful residential charm just minutes from the Arc de Triomphe's energy. Strolling through the neighborhood each evening gave me that coveted "local" feeling while still enjoying easy access to landmarks.|This stay reminded me why I love Parisian hospitality at its finest. I've already recommended your hotel to several colleagues and will certainly return on my next visit. Merci for creating such a memorable experience - you've set a new standard for excellence.|Warmest regards,|Farouk Chaabi|Ipourwine.com

AVOID HOTEL - STAFF ARE THIEVES. No kettle, but tea bags thoughtfully placed so you can stare at them and reflect on your life choices. Asked for hot water and was told to run the coffee machine without capsules. Voilà! Dirty coffee-flavored water. Genius. Reception staff are Olympic-level lazy. One promised to bring me hot water for tea, vanished for 1.5 hours, then said, “oh, I got busy and forgot.” Stellar work ethic. Breakfast came with a bonus half-drunk creep harassing women while staff floated in dreamland. And the finale? After paying for everything I actually consumed, they sneak-charged €17 for “peanuts and biscuits” I never touched. This is after I declared my consumption of a toblerone and salted cashews for which I paid €51,80 (including city tax at checkout) So now this hotel should be called Le Liar de la Villa or Le THIEF de la villa — lazy, lying, thieving, and proud. Avoid this scam circus at all costs. Even the peanuts aren’t safe.

We stayed here just for one night but had such a great time! The location is so central which makes it so convenient to get to so many of the main attractions and it’s only five minutes away from the metro. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were so so lovely! It’s such a cute hotel in a great location with the nicest people working here! I would definitely recommend!

No kettle in the room, but tea bags lovingly provided.. to brew with imagination, I guess? Reception is a masterpiece of laziness, with staff who truly don’t give a damn. Asked for hot water, and was told to use the coffee machine without capsules for it (because dirty coffee water apparently counts as hot water). One receptionist said I could “ask her anytime” for hot water — called her in the morning, she promised to bring it, then got lost for 1.5 hours while I water, upon going down she casually says, “oh, I got busy and fogot.” Wow.||||As if that wasn’t enough, a half-drunk guest (local French) harassed me during breakfast. I handled it myself, because clearly no staff supervision exists here either.||||Now the cherry on top: At checkout, I paid for what I actually consumed (€42 breakfast + €51.80 minibar). Days later, surprise! Another €17 charge for “peanuts and biscuits” we never touched. So now we add liars and thieves to their résumé.||||Avoid this hotel like the plague, it has lazy lying staff, fake charges, zero accountability, and creepy guests. A disaster hotel.

Really a breath of fresh air as far as hotels in Paris go. I was lucky to be able to check in early and receive an upgrade for a room with a balcony, but the fact that they were already willing to be so kind put me in a good mood. There are all sorts of nice touches that put this place above many others where I’ve stayed on the rest of my 5 visits to Paris: enough room for luggage, plentiful outlets, comfortable lounge chair, adjustable air conditioning, L’Occitane shampoo + conditioner + shower gel (not just some cheap 3-in-1), rainshower, thoughtfully placed mirrors, TV with chromecast, relaxing amenities & backyard area. Overall I genuinely think it’s one of the best hotels for its price range and would definitely come back/recommend :)

Booked here through Booking.com to be close to tour-provided room at a hotel which had no vacancies on prior days. Wanted to get time adjusted and do a little exploring.||The staff here are wonderful-5 stars, particularly Emily, who bent over backwards to take care of us. So that’s one real positive. Also, unlike many hotels in Europe, there are wonderful reading lamps in each side of the bed. A third positive is that the hotel is near a taxi stand, especially because it’s far away from most attractions. Oh, and breakfast (euros 21 pp) was pretty good.||The “Negative” factors are far more numerous.||* It’s cramped. Easy to get claustrophobia. The landing on each of the guest room floors is about 4’ x 8’, with 2-3 rooms/floor.||This hotel has one of those arrangements through which you turn power on by inserting a room key card into a slot in your room. We tended to leave one key card into the slot during absences due to pathetic AC. Each day the maid removed that key, necessitating our getting yet another.|* Yes, we were there during a heat wave, but the climate system is basically non-functioning. Supposedly we could set the temperature to 19 degrees Celsius, but that left both of us angry and uncomfortably sweating, Worse still, if we opened the window for fresh air, we were treated to loud comments from numerous nightly Meridian hotel employees taking a cigarette break (of which there are many in France!!) and all the loading and unloading from the Receiving Department. HORRIBLE!||We switched rooms within an hour on Day 1 because the tub/shower combination (which was grossly scratched) was unsafe with very high walls and no available non-slip mats. The danger was heightened because tryouts couldn’t adjust the water temperature PRIOR to stepping into the tub,||^ the tiny elevator had a door that shut too abruptly after opening and with seemingly ineffective safety closure mechanism. Bothersome.||Toilet paper is unacceptably coarse. Silly..||^||We switched rooms one

Returned to this charming boutique hotel in the 17th arrondissement during a hot Paris summer. Outstanding service, a strong steam room (hammam), high walkability, and cushy towels mark this hotel. ||Much thanks to Manal for storing our luggage until check in time, ensuring our rooms were ready, and for helping with a great half bottle of red wine. Also, thanks to Souleymane for offering to lend a helping hand during the night shift.||Air conditioning is on the stronger side, which is a relief during the summer. Also, the cold water is quite cold (big plus).||Great shopping mall is close by (next to the Hyatt). Aside from the clothing, pharmacy, and movie theater, it holds a great grocery store with lots of fresh produce, packaged goods, and wine. Arc de Triomphe and other landmarks are within reasonable walking distance.
