**Accommodation not as advertised on booking.com**
We booked a “3 bedroom townhouse” through booking.com, which was advertised 1) as a townhouse, 2) as having a common dining area, and 3) as having queen beds.
On check in we were given three separate unconnected rooms, with twin share, and an “outdoor common area” for two of the rooms which was shared with other tenants. On questioning this we were told that the accommodation with the common spaces was not available; but that we would have a queen bed put in place the next day. We told them we didn’t need the third room (2 couples, and we booked for the townhouse; not for the purpose of 3 bedrooms) and they said they would come with a solution the next day.
They did not come with a solution, they did not provide queen beds, and they have not been willing to provide a discount. Of note, the difference in price between what is advertised as a town house and booking the same three rooms separately is more than 100%. Advertising it as a townhouse feels like a straight up money grab.
Other minor points: breakfast not ready at the advertised time on one day meant we left late and were hiking in much hotter weather than planned, and on another day they said they booked a taxi for us but did not, having the same result in leaving later and then being in much higher heat than planned.
Overall, poor service and false advertising. I would avoid.
