Les Manoirs des Portes de Deauville (Normandy, France) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"One of the great French dramatists, Pierre Corneille, regularly retreated from Paris to his sister’s home in the Norman countryside. The elegant 16th-century estate has since been converted into a luxurious boutique hotel, Les Manoirs des Portes de Deauville. Many of the property’s best assets remain intact: a collection of smartly renovated cottages frame the historic manor house with its original stone fireplace, and the surrounding park, with its pear and apple trees, is wildly picturesque." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay here. The estate is stunning, with gorgeous, well-maintained gardens. The building is full of character, with lots of original features that add to its charm. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The pool was lovely and perfect for relaxing. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the meat and cheese platter was absolutely the best

We were looking for a nice relaxing weekend after spending a few hectic days in Paris and we got what we needed and even more. We instantly fell in love with the gardens and the historical charm of the property. It truly felt like an honor to be guests of such history. The staff make you feel like youre staying in their home with the fine attention to detail they provide and the care and respect they provide to the monument they serve. We were also pleasantly surprised to find how welcoming this hotel is to familes. Even with the several families with small children the atmosphere remained warm, relaxing and welcoming. Definitely look forward to a return visit.

The location was picturesque, the rooms were spacious and clean, the bed were comfy, and the staff were friendly. It's the perfect place to have a family holiday in Normandy, enjoying peace and quiet while remaining very close to touristic locations. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay here! We were here for a D-Day event in the more central/western parts of Normandy, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars for location (a bit of a long drive to reach the main D-Day sites). But again, that's not their fault, and if you're looking to explore Deauville, Trouville, or any of the other areas of this beautiful region, this is a great option! The staff are kind, the cottages are superb - especially for families, and all the local touches (especially for food and drinks) are wonderful. They have gorgeous grounds, and we loved the pool and hammocks as well. An amazing stay where you feel totally at peace in the countryside but are close to plenty of villages.

We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel and we were travelling with our daughter of 1.5 months. The estate is stunning and very tranquil, the rooms are very spacious, clean, modern and well maintaned. The service of the staff is also excellent and they cater to every need. We also enjoyed the breakfast with various regional products. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but there is a very good restaurant in walking distance. We would definately stay there again!

The place was absolutely stunning, and the staff was really kind and accommodating. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. We only stayed one night, but it's the kind of stay that stays with you.

Amazing place with very good breakfast ||Poor service: ||- when asked about dinner (they have a small snack menu) she was a bit annoyed saying that so many people would be ordering already ||- ready made food heated in microwave came out half cold||- rooms are often cleaned at 5/6pm when people are back from the day ||- staff does the job ok, without caring much - it’s decent but would have expected more from a small luxury hotel of the world ||- rooms are a bit cold. Only aircon that didn’t fully get warm; heating in bathroom stopped working so nothing dried ||- beds are uncomfortable as well as pillows

A Peaceful Retreat with Exceptional Service We had a wonderful stay at Les Manoirs des Portes de Deauville. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine. Tevin and the team went above and beyond, checking in each day to ensure we were enjoying our time—an attentive touch that made all the difference. Our room was in a beautifully restored cottage overlooking the pool, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The grounds were immaculately landscaped, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. The spa and sauna were a relaxing addition, and ending the day with a dip in the pool was perfect. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and varied, featuring smoked salmon, freshly baked pastries, and fine cold meats. Guests could choose to dine in the elegant 17th-century manor house or enjoy breakfast al fresco under the trees. Thoughtful details made our stay even more enjoyable: bottled water was offered at both check-in and check-out for the journey, and as we were travelling with our dog, it was lovely to find a mat and bowls prepared for him on arrival. Dog-friendly, peaceful, and beautifully restored—this hotel is a gem. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning.
