The food was served very quickly – we waited no more than 10 minutes. The meals were delicious and the portions quite generous. The staff was friendly and professional, and the interior was beautifully designed

This venue offers a delightful atmosphere coupled with swift service that ensures you're never waiting long to indulge in their offerings. Not only do they excel in brewing a fantastic cup of coffee, but they also serve refreshing freshly squeezed orange juice, adding a burst of citrusy goodness to your dining experience. Their 9 euro meal is a standout option, providing ample portions of delicious fare that leave you feeling fully satisfied without emptying your wallet. It's the perfect choice for a satisfying meal that won't break the bank. Conveniently located just a brief 2-3 minute stroll from Le Grand Mazarin, this spot is a haven for both locals and tourists alike. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, it's the ideal destination for a delicious dining experience in the heart of the city. And when it comes to breakfast, don't miss out on the opportunity to sample their delectable offerings. From hearty classics to lighter options, their breakfast menu is sure to tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!"

Google
Les Marronniers was an incredible find on a cold day when we were looking for a cozy spot to eat. Everything about the experience was perfect—the food, the service, and the atmosphere all hit the mark. I ordered a house Bordeaux and a mojito, both excellent choices that complemented the meal beautifully. We had two dishes: one with chicken and another with beef (like the photo I’m sharing here), and both were cooked to perfection—rich, flavorful, and comforting on such a chilly day. If you’re in the area and want a warm, welcoming place with great food and drinks, I can’t recommend Les Marronniers enough. It was exactly what we needed, and I’d gladly go back!

Worst French onion soup in France. The cheese was burned and the bread was lumpy and chewy. The chicken with mushroom (one mushroom) tasted good and then reminded us for the rest of the day where we ate. The service was snotty, but it seemed not to everyone. Must be a drinking place as it seemed others left food on their plates.

Great coffee. The petit brunch breakfast is incredible value at only €9 for scrambled egg, bacon, bread, croissant, fresh orange juice and hot drink. Waiters are great, very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Very busy restaurant / brasserrie in Le Marais area. We love their escargot, and calamari. I had the rump steak which was a little chewy but the accompanying pepper sauce and green beans/potatoes were great. I didnt like the lamb meatballs very much as they were quite hard and gamey. It is very lively on the terrace - lots of people on the weekend drinking and smoking outside. If you dont smoke, I'd recommend sitting inside

Yelp
The restaurant was able to seat a group of 11 easily in the upstairs which is much appreciated, especially since it was in the evening. There were many food options, especially for those with dietary restrictions (vegetarian). The food was not terribly expensive either. I got the veggie bowl which was an interesting array of grains and sauces and vegetables, but it all worked together. The sauce used had a sparkling water sensation which was a surprise, but it was very tasty. I also got escargot since I had never tried it and it was served with a pesto-like sauce; they were delicious (make sure to eat them when they are hot)! For dessert I ordered the Nutella tiramisu which was probably one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. It was light and combination of the coffee and the Nutella was spectacular. The ambiance of the place was very nice, the music played was lively, it had mood lighting and the decor was cute. The bathroom was also for any gender which is appreciated. The staff are very friendly and accommodating for tourists (they have a translated menu in English), yet locals too enjoy the place. The restaurant is also nearby the Hôtel de Ville de Paris which is very beautiful!

Yelp
We couldn't get in to our more favourite places - it was mid August and we were late for lunch - and we had been here ages ago I guess we could say the whole experience was...ok...the 50cl Saumur rouge was good, as was my chicken & chips...otherwise, service adequate, my partner's meal the same...very cramped just on the outside. €48 As ever, we decamped to Pozzetto for decent coffee and dessert (long queue for the take away ice-creams)...busy day, we too had to sit outside for once...but it is a tiny place...no smokersbut very busy all around us

Yelp
Have a big group? This is the place for you, They have a large upstairs as well as an ample interior to host a small gathering. The food is good, maybe not as hot as I like it, but still good. I had the Brunch which was awesome. With as many brunches as they were making to have the eggs Benedict spot on is real talent. The value is great at 22 euros a person and i didn't eat dinner ii was so full! It is on a trendy strip of Les Marais within a stones through of shopping and bars, Dont miss it

Yelp
The ambiance was perfect. They have the options of a patio, inside seating or upstairs seating by the windows. We went with upstairs because it was more private and it had a great view. The staff was very friendly and services was quick for a French cafe. The services started with some Delicious fresh baguettes! I ordered the Duck breast with mash potatoes with a glass of wine and my wife had the steak with fries. My food was pretty good the duck breast was seasoned nicely but needed the fat to be rendered down a little more since parts of it was not fully cooked and still a little chewy. The mash potatoes that came with it was good and the sauce for the duck was fantastic. And obviously the wine was great! Sadly The steak and fries was a miss. The steak was bland with no flavor and a lot of gristle. The fries and the side salad were very tasty. But since the meat was the main part of her dish I would say to pass on that item. Overall I would probably recommend this cafe just stay away from the steak and fries.

Yelp
A trip to France is incomplete if one does not make an effort to acquaint themselves with the "gayness" of Paris. In my opinion, Les Marronniers is definitely capable of satisfying tourists and locals alike who seek to experience the dining scene of LGBT Parisians. In late September of 2015, I arrived around 7pm as a single diner and chose to eat indoors, at a table directly adjacent to the smoking-optional terrace. Dietary restrictions and food allergies prohibit me from eating several things, including meat. Fortunately, the menu truly offers options for a variety of eclectic palates. Upon taking the suggestion of my very friendly, bilingual waiter, I ordered the French version of a veggie burger, accompanied by greens and vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this dish was unlike any veggie burger I'd ever tasted. Additionally, the vegetables were extremely flavorful. In the true spirit of French restaurant culture, eating is a leisurely experience, not to be rushed. Therefore, my waiter gave me enough room to fully enjoy the cuisine, atmosphere and indulge in one of my favorite traveling activities; people-watching. The next time I return to Paris, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant. Great food and a very nice atmosphere and staff. One of my favorite restaurants in Paris.

Yelp
In the heart of the gay community, it has a fun atmosphere with good food and good service. We had a great waiter who was able to communicate with us though our bad French and and native English. Among three of us we had: (based on star ratings...) Caesar Salad * * * * (the marinated chicken filets were great!) 2x "Soupe gratinee d'oignon au Cantal et vin blanc" * * * * * "Pave de coeur de rumsteck" avec haricots verts (MIAM!) * * * * "Confit de canard" * * * * * Andouillette grilee A.A.A.A.A. * (I wouldn't recommend it for the average American.) "Tarte fine aux pommes et glace vanille" * * * * * Two of us also had the special drink of the night. It was a strawberry and raspberry mojito. Great stuff. I would definitely come here again when I return to Paris in the future. Maybe next time I would be adventurous enough to have steak tartar or salmon tartar. They looked pretty good.

Yelp
Great bar for mojitos and people watch. Food is decent no prices are affordable. Friendly stuff with a hipster and vibrant atmosphere. Food gets delivered fast and drinks are delicious!!! Definitely a place to look sexy and cruise!

Yelp
This landmark Marais Cafe is perfect for people-watching. Just accross the rue des Archives from the BHV Flagship Store on the rue du Rivoli..it is the perfect place for people watching in the popular Marais area of Paris. Can't beat it. Enjoy! '(¿)

Yelp
My biggest pet peeve in Paris is bad service, and sorry but this place has it. They're all smiles and helpfulness when they're greeting and sitting you but that's when it ends. We came in for lunch, after seeing their plat du jour special. After sitting for 15 minutes no one came to take our order, despite several waiters passing by without a second glance, including the one who seated us. Finally we managed to signal someone over and placed our order finally. 5 min later he comes back and tells us there is no more plat du jour. Now usually I'd be more forgiving but that's the sort of thing we should have been told when we sat down, not after 15-20 minutes waiting and by that point I'd had my "stomach" set on that so we left. Won't be returning here.

Yelp
An hour after I had a beef tartare there I had to go to the restroom and spend the night there. I hadn't eaten anything else during the day and the only food was the portion of tartare with French fries and a beer. It took about 24 hours to get better.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot in Paris. The owners are friendly and the food is always exactly what I need to start my day. Excellent location for people watching too!

Yelp
Les Marronniers offered us a perfect, light repast late in the evening on our first night in Paris. Fortunately, our waiter was a perfect gastronomique guide. We originally ordered an entree, a plats as well as a salad and he advised us that we would find the salad more than enough to fill our stomachs. He was so right! My companion ordered a Caesar Salad with Chicken and my choice was a Just to be a chevre Salad. Both were well stocked with a delicious but sparing amount of dressing, cheese and vegetables. Add a couple of glasses of wine and ooh la la! Filling yet light. We did choose to sit inside the restaurant to avoid the heavy smokers seated by the outside tables. This was a very popular place to be!

Yelp
This place was awesome. We were walking with our baby and stroller and it was the perfect place to be able to pull the stroller up and park it while my wife and I had a phenomenal meal. They had a French and English menu which made the process easier. The onion soup was phenomenal and my wife had the gnocchi which was also very good.

Yelp
Nice spot for lunch ! The waiter was very cool and the food is good ! We had vegetable nem, haddock burger, and two tartares ! The detox juice is also great !

Yelp
The best restaurant in Paris -- during my 8 day stay! I actually call it my "Men with Beards" restaurant -- 90% of the male staff had beards. All of the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I think I liked the fact that they worked well with each other and would deliver a plate when ready, even if it wasn't their customer. The food was excellent -- french onion soup and caesar salad. As a sole diner, they did not seat me in the worst place in the restaurant which happened alot while I was in Paris -- especially when a restaurant was busy. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Yelp
Nice ambience, very friendly staff, good prices. 2 floors and outside terrace. The menu has a variety of dishes for all tastes, plates are well prepared and nicely presented.

Yelp
Good location for people watching, however very slow service and terrible food. The onion soup I tried was so bad I could not finish it. It was barely warm, had an unusual amount of garlic, the onions were not caramelized, and it contained vast amounts of cubed bread and cheese sunk into the bowl as opposed to a crisp crouton floated and baked crisp with the cheese layer. Without exception the worst French onion soup I've ever had.

Yelp
Having a desire to explore the gayer side of gay Paris, we stopped off at this cafe for a p'tit dejeunner. The cafe is situated directly on Rue des Archives, so you're obviously going to have plenty of gay eye candy of all sorts parading to and fro in front of you while you eat and slurp. The food we had was, I'd say, on the better side of 'regular' french cuisine - tasty open faced sandwiches covered in bacon, croissants, things like that. The special of the day was steak tartare, to which I said 'non' but it seemed like a popular choice. Nothing here is going to blow your gustatory socks off, and your waiter will be polite but typically brusque/rushed, but you'll get a good meal. Watch out for the food temperature - mine came straight from the kitchen and actually burned my palate. Hot chocolate and coffee similarly a-ok. I'd come back here, given that it's a run of the mill gay place, I can sit and gay-people-watch, and the food isn't terrible. Don't expect too much, though.

Yelp
Great food at reasonable prices in the heart of the Marais area, choice inside or outside seating

Yelp
Without a doubt one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in Paris. I got a regular bacon cheeseburger. The first time they brought it out, there was a hair literally melted into the cheese. I actually gagged when I saw it. I sent it back and 10 minutes later they brought me another one, although I am not even sure they really changed the burger, which meant that the dinner was already off to an awful start. It got worse when I took a bite out of this so called nasty "burger." The cheese was disgusting. The slices were too thick and they weren't even properly melted. Trash. The meat tasted so weird, I'm starting to think that it wasn't even beef. It smelled weird, had a strange texture, and was overall disgusting. I won't be surprised if I have food poisoning and am up sick all night. Without a doubt, this place made the WORST burger I have ever had in my entire life. I am at a loss of words to truly describe this burger. It was mind blowing how terrible it was.

Anthony R.

Yelp
If you have to think hard to remember what you ordered at a restaurant a few days earlier, it probably isn't worth going back. For the starter I had terrine (de je ne sais pas quoi) and rouelle d'agneau for the main. Barely worth the money.

Yelp
Poor service. We had to ask three times to get our check, then were never given change from our cash. Parisian cafes typically have this stuff down to a science. Not here. And a complaint to the manager only elicited a look of ignorance.

Yelp
This hopping street cafe and small two-level restaurant is often packed yet worth the short wait for a street-side table. I ate at 5 years ago and then again the other night (10/7/2011.) Being on the westerly side of the Le Marais means this is an ideal spot to watch the hip and often male-oriented side of Parisian street life stroll by. The mixed salads are full of tasty plants and meats and our plat principal choice-- pavé de saumon-- was not over poached or salted: props to the chef! Try the cocktail of the day (if you don't mind food coloring or spending an additional 18 €.) I however opted for a cheaper alternative, and that's how we were turned on to Amer Picon and beer (together in one glass) on the bartenders suggestion. I hope to return.
