A trip to France is incomplete if one does not make an effort to acquaint themselves with the "gayness" of Paris. In my opinion, Les Marronniers is definitely capable of satisfying tourists and locals alike who seek to experience the dining scene of LGBT Parisians.
In late September of 2015, I arrived around 7pm as a single diner and chose to eat indoors, at a table directly adjacent to the smoking-optional terrace. Dietary restrictions and food allergies prohibit me from eating several things, including meat. Fortunately, the menu truly offers options for a variety of eclectic palates. Upon taking the suggestion of my very friendly, bilingual waiter, I ordered the French version of a veggie burger, accompanied by greens and vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this dish was unlike any veggie burger I'd ever tasted. Additionally, the vegetables were extremely flavorful.
In the true spirit of French restaurant culture, eating is a leisurely experience, not to be rushed. Therefore, my waiter gave me enough room to fully enjoy the cuisine, atmosphere and indulge in one of my favorite traveling activities; people-watching. The next time I return to Paris, I'll definitely be back!
