Les Patios (Saint-Grégoire, Brittany) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Tired of the hustle and bustle of the city? Take time out in this hotel 6km north of Rennes. With its pretty garden and pared - down, minimalist decor, this fine contemporary building exudes serenity. Needless to say, all the guestrooms open onto a patio." - Tablet Hotels

I really don't know why this place is rated so low. Beautiful location facing the Chapel and fountains. Food was delicious and prices are very good. Staff was friendly. Good thing that we never looked at the reviews, just walked in after the stroll around Sorbonne. Highly recommended.

Google
Service was friendly, vibe was great, loved my steak frites and my girlfriend enjoyed her croique monsieur with veggies. They had the best vegetarian options compared to other restaurants on the block. Would recommend!

We had a great dinner here, The place is located in cool area near Sorbone. It was pretty full but not too crowded. The food was good! We ate the Onion soup and also the duck, and of course a good wine. Our waiter was decent and he had a great recommendation for a wine. Unfortunatly I was forced to go to a nearby ATM to pay, so it was kind of an annoying way to finish a really good meal. However i'm sure this is not the case most of the time.

Google
Very much recommend! The portions are great for the price, drinks are delicious, and service was excellent (thanks Myriam!)

Google
Absolutely delightful little cafe and restaurant please do ignore any low reviews. Normal excellent good food and good prices with great service. Get away from the madding crowds and order a simple and delicious French lunch or dinner in a quiet university square.

We stopped by the café this morning. A friendly young man pointed us to a table, and we sat down. The place was nearly empty, so we expected quick service—but after a few quiet minutes of watching the staff behind the counter, no one came over. Since we were on a tight schedule, we left—no drama, just quietly walked out. To our surprise, a woman rushed out after us and, upon hearing we didn’t have time to wait, shouted across the street that I was a “bad person.” Not exactly the warm coffeehouse vibe we were hoping for—but definitely a memorable experience!

Google
Well priced food with great serves and friendly service. I was observing the wait staff during my dinner and I think I may have spotted one wait person that would fit the description of previous negative reviews. That said our service was fantastic. The food was great quality and came quickly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
Sat on the patio for some drinks and a bite. Service was good. Initially ordered the Sancerre AOP. Waiter came back and said they were out. No issue ordered a Bordeaux. Pizza was good. Ambience was nice. Would return but overall average experience.

Yelp
The pizza was ok, but had minimal toppings. We ordered cocktails, a Moscow mule and a spritzer. Both drinks tasted vastly different compared to what we are used to in America. I had a Moscow mule at a different restaurant, here in Paris, and it was amazing, so I can compare. Service was pretty fast and we are in the patio. Food came out quick. Our waitress spoke great English and helped us read the menu.

Yelp
Quick beer- worked. Service slow enhhhhhh just ok for what we needed. Decent prices for beer. Sometimes a cold beer is just what the doctor ordered.

Yelp
Had the pizza here and it was the bomb. Overall it was a pretty good experience. The waiter was pretty nice for French standards so can't complain.

Yelp
The waitress made us pay after ordering and said she was leaving for the day. About 30 minutes later she was still taking tables and no one else had been asked to pay before food and drinks had arrived. Yes, my French is mediocre, but the Louis Vuitton I had on was enough to buy her yearly salary. We only had a bottle of wine as the reviews of the food was not good. I guess her ugly face matches her personality...

Yelp
Absolutely loved their roasted fish with the lemon sauce and vegetables (15 euros), The vegetables were delicious - t. The French onion soup (9 euros) was also good but not very strong tasting. The server also spoke English which saved me some embarrassment :) and made it easier to communicate. Not bad for the price - very peaceful. I think their 29 euro brunch is also pretty good!

Yelp
We enjoy everything except for the service. Customer service is definitely not required to work there. Good burgers and salad. Limited wine selection, but did enjoy the wines they had.

Yelp
Nice view of the fountains. Ok quality cappuccino. At 6.80 euro much more expensive that what I paid elsewhere in Paris and the rest of Europe.

Yelp
Mediocre French food for the location and price. The chèvre salad, a usually fail proof order choice, came with soggy uninspired toast, and limp graying ham. The bathroom was completely disgusting, and had I gone there before the meal, I would not have had stayed. Two redeeming factors: the excellent snails and service. It also looks like their special is the beef Bourgogne, so if I can clear my head of the bathroom visuals and underwhelming chèvre salad, I may cone back to try their signature dish.

Yelp
Located in a courtyard off of the Sorbonne, the patio is a good place to relax and people watch. The portions are huge, salads and pizzas that you can easily share. I really liked that the salad came with bread with honey and goat cheese. They have a good variety of pizzas. Topping combinations that are more interesting than most places in the states. There were some service issues as the pizza we were brought was not what we ordered. We ended up eating it anyway and it was good. Italian still thin crust, crispy edges. Overall, the food was good, though there are better places in Paris.

Yelp
We were considering splitting a pizza but when we asked the waiter, he gestured the pizzas were about the size of a personal size in the US. We ordered one each and they were the size of a dinner plate. Pizzas were lukewarm and the bufala had fresh tomato chunks, which made it watery. Crust was paper thin in the middle, thicker but virtually uncuttable along the edges. Buffalo mozzarella was good. Food meh. No charge for the waiter's condescending attitude. There are hundreds of inviting places to eat in Paris. Skip this one.

Yelp
Steps away from the Sorbonne & other schools, which explains why the food reminded me of my college days (only slightly fancier & much pricier.) I was craving something salty & voila! found the perfect thing on the menu: - Pizza napolintaine: capers, olives, mozzarella, tomato (no anchovies). Definitely satisfyingly salty! Pizza in Paris did not disappoint! Bf ordered veal w/ penne & a simple tomato sauce. The penne was a step up from the Olive Garden (take that comment however you wish.) Loved the oil w/ chili peppers on the table. I sprinkled a few drops on a baguette slice (yes, aside from something salty, I was craving carbs like crazy!) & the heat creeps up on you! Loved the flavor & the kick. €26 Sidenote: we opted to sit inside to escape the hordes of smokers on the patio. I passed by a high school & saw probably 13 & 14 year olds lighting up & waving it around like old pros. Being from health-conscious SF, it was a shock see so many smokers.

Yelp
I really like this place. The other negative reviews don't jibe withy experience here. Maybe it's because the weather has allowed me to eat outside. I like the setting--a pedestrian only square across from the Sorbonne--I like that lots of French business ripple seem to eat here, in addition to tourists, I like the generous portions and friendly service. It feels French, without being snooty or overly expensive. I've had the big salade au chèvre chaud and the croque Monsieur. Both quite good, and generously portioned. I just love the setting. I could sit here all day ( and people do, no one chases them away). Another advantage is, it's big and there is no lack of seating, so you can be sure to find a place quickly when you don't having time.

Yelp
Good food, but not outstanding. A bit overpriced for what they offer. This is NOT a tourist trap, though, it is authentic French food with a bit of an Italian tone (pizzas and pastas). My wife had pasta I had the lamb. My lamb beats her pasta :-)

Yelp
This became one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The food is great. Pizza is delicious, my friend tried the sardines and loved them. The location can't be beat (I guess I am more of a real estate agent than a foodie), right in front of the Sorbonne, a beautiful fountain, roving musicians, three restaurants in a row (so if this one isn't for you, check out the others...). I came here several times on my last Parisian journey with my friends. Each time, we enjoyed a carafe of wine, which was very reasonably priced and delicious. I've tried a number of their pizzas, all delicious. Make sure to try the spicy oil, you will love it. The salads are generous and incredibly fresh. The French onion soup is very good as well. Service is typically French, somewhat polite, somewhat attentive, bring friends, and it won't matter. Honestly, I also ate here alone, and perhaps had even a better experience. I will be returning to Paris next week, and will definitely return to Les Patios.

Yelp
The food takes a backseat to the atmosphere here. Located near the college area of Sorbonne. There are always local musicians and young coeds around to entertain you. We had hamburger and pizza, which tells you the menu options were slim and we were craving some home food two weeks into our journey.

Yelp
A nice touristy place for lunch when hiking around Paris. A place to go when nearby, not something you would venture out of your way to get to. Huge patio with front facing seats to 'people watch' in a really nice square near the Sorbonne. Food was good, but not 'wow'. Service was prompt and efficient. Waiters were clearly so busy with so many tourists all at once.

Yelp
Wow - worst restaurant ever. Horrible food, drinks, and service. Avoid this mess!!! We could not leave fast enough, but still needed to wait 20 minutes to pay the bill.

Antonia Z.

Yelp
Relatively cold served food. beef bourguignon was good, pizza and pasta were average.

Yelp
I paid 15 euros for the chicken with lemon and rosemary... but could have bought the same dish for a lot cheaper at a fast food restaurant. Minimal taste and it was served almost cold. Avoid!!

Yelp
Nicely located restaurant with a ton of outdoor seating. I got a pasta dish with walnuts and a mushroom cream sauce. The fact that I was craving pasta probably made it taste a whole lot better. Pretty bland all together and I had to add so much salt I think I used half of the salt shaker. I'm not much of a adding salt kind of girl so that even surprised me. My boyfriend got a salad and I had to steal some of his prosciutto and add it to my bland pasta. A star for service because our waiter was pretty attentive.

Yelp
My breakfast was ok, but my wife couldn't eat her omelette because it was too oily. Service was subpar... Would only go back to see the hilarious cat that wandered around the restaurant.

Yelp
Got to reiterate that if you need to eat dinner on Sunday and you don't have a kitchen, then you might want to check this place out. We were starving and everywhere near us was closed. Mind you that this was our first night in Paris and we didn't want to venture out too far on uncharted territories. We got the paysanne pizza and got to admit we were hungry so this pizza was like heaven. It was freshly made like "blaze" pizza in California. Thin crisp that was edible and drinks that were decent. Remember to ask for their chilly olive oil to drizzle or drench your pizza! Drinks were pricey though, but that just might be a Paris thing. I still need to do more eating in Paris to see if a $6 beer /$10 cocktail is normal.

Yelp
Excellent cheese plate, bread and happy hour wine and beer. Nice busy atmosphere mixed with locals and tourists.

Yelp
The only place in Paris I did not leave a tip. Worst service ever, the moustached waiter seemed to be in a very bad mood. At first I thought it was because of my faltering French, but he appeared to be this way with everyone. In the time we were there all the customers looked unhappy with their service and left very quickly. Food was dumped on the table, everything seemed too much trouble, openly mocking customers. There was another man who I think was serving outside who seemed friendlier. Was expensive too and coffee not great. This was very close to our hotel so would have gone back if it was good, but definitely wasn't!
