Yelp
This is a small, out-of-the-way bar à vins located in a very crowded and perhaps overly popular section of Paris. And inside...well...if you arrive during prime dinner hours you'll find that Les Pipos is pretty crowded and extremely popular too, and for good reason. The menu is limited, but go with what sounds best to you and you'll likely find it to be excellent. The portions are generous, and I cannot imagine having both a starter and a main course and then ordering dessert. While I won't lecture you, the vin du jour is usually a good bet, and is served by the glass, "pot," and bottle. Unless you have your heart set on something else from their wine list, just go with that (at the least, you'll likely try something you haven't encountered previously). Naturally, the charcuterie and cheese selections are exceptional, and one could make an excellent meal from these without ever ordering a formal dinner.
Something of a note to those who haven't read the French language reviews: yes, the service can be less than wonderful, but in my personal opinion it was just fine. Otherwise, it's certainly a place where a solid knowledge of the language is a nice addition. You won't hear a word of English spoken in here, most likely.
