This area offers plenty of options, but if you’re after authentic French cuisine with a warm, homely touch—this is the place to be. From the welcoming and attentive host to the delicious food and drinks, everything was flawless. Highly recommended!

Came here alone while traveling for work. Place was amazing. Everything you could ever want from a French restaurant and bar. Straight out of a movie. Food perfect. Wine selection and advice better than perfect. Vibes perfect. If I ever make it back to Paris, I will be coming here.

Seeking great food, service and atmosphere and we found it! The beef stew was flavorful and tender and the crème brûlée was top shelf- nothing better. I ate too much and enjoyed every bite! Worth the trip from Springfield Virginia.

We had been traveling Europe for 14 out of 28 days when we came upon Le Pipos . The curator, Leonel and staff were fabulous and the food absolutely outstanding. Our experience was 6 stars, to bad only five are available.

We stumbled upon this fantastic wine bar because we were staying nearby from USA. The atmosphere and service was lovely and the wine list was excellent. Their wine knowledge and ability to pick the wine from their cellar was top notch. We went back for a bottle of gamay each of the three nights we stayed in Paris! We will definitely come back to visit next time we are in town.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Les Pipos, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The meal began with their delectable duck confit, which was cooked to perfection and full of rich, savory flavors. The beef bourguignon followed, and it was incredibly tender, melting in the mouth with each bite. The chicken and pork fillet mignon were equally impressive, both cooked to an ideal level of doneness and seasoned beautifully. The entire meal was a testament to the quality and care that goes into each dish, all of which are homemade. For dessert, we indulged in a creamy crème brûlée and a delicious cheesecake, both of which provided a perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic lunch. The crème brûlée had a perfect caramelized top and a smooth, luscious interior, while the cheesecake was light yet decadent. Overall, Les Pipos offers a wonderful dining experience with excellent homemade dishes. Each course was a delight, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Less Pipos is a gem in Paris! The onion soup was hands down the best I’ve had—rich, flavorful, and absolutely comforting. The atmosphere feels authentically Parisian, with a cozy charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. The staff were warm and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Everything we tried was delicious, making this spot a must-visit for a true taste of Paris!

personnel is very much interactive, welcoming, and funny. food quality and quantity are more than fair for the price. the location looks authentic. strongly recommend! toilet upstairs may be unaccessible to old people due to the very steep staircase, which looks even steeper when you have to come back and climb it down.

Yelp
Les Pipos is located near Panthéon. My Parisian friend recommended this place for lunch and we brought our German friend along with us. It's not so much a tourist restaurant but more local. We came here for lunch and my friend ordered for us. He got a bloody steak and he ordered sheep intestines for me which was kind of disgusting to be honest. I don't know if I'd come back here or recommend it to others. I feel like there's better French restaurants you can try.

Yelp
Super friendly service and tasty food for a casual date night or get together with friends. Had very fresh vegetable soup and then duck confit with amazing garlic laden potatoes. My partner had steak frites with very good poivre sauce. He started with pate which hit the spot too. Had fantastic bordeaux as well. Will come again!

Yelp
Steak tar tar was so fresh and tasty. So was fois gras. Chicken and mashed potatoes, yum! Love this place. Local spot with great French food. Not in crazy part of town, which is a nice break when in Paris! Great service. Good wine selection. Cool old building.

Yelp
My sister and I decided to go out for drinks on the last night she was in Paris before flying back to America. My mother apparently had heard many great reviews of this place. She doesn't drink, but we decided to take a gamble and go to Les Pipos. I had a great time (times 100) !! We ordered 2 bottles of white; 19 euros per bottle was a great price considering how great the wine was. We also ordered the mixed cheese plate. What was great about this place was that you felt that you were in the real France - no tourists and all you heard was French. That being said, our server spoke perfect English (in case French isn't your forte). Loved Les Pipos and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I went last night and had one of the best meals of my Paris trip. Both the food and service were great! We got excellent service from Chris- she spoke English and was very helpful (since I know almost no french) she went thru the entire menu in English and her recommendations were spot on! We started with the Terrine and grilled foie gras. Both were excellent. The foie gras was like butter and melted in your mouth, this was so much better than the 3 other times we had foie gras this trip. I had the duck breast with potato, the duck was cooked perfectly and was delicious, my friend had the steak with fries which was also very good. The fries were hot and crispy and the steak also cooked perfectly. I also had the wine of the day which paired very well with my meal. The prices are pretty good considering the quality of the food you get. I'll definitely be back if I'm in Paris again.

Yelp
Amazing Parisian dinner. Whilst staying in the Latin quarter on our first trip to Paris we stopped by for some dinner. Amazing bottle of Burgundy Pinot noir. The duck confit was a perfect dish. The bone marrow and lentil salad were amazing starters. The servers were super nice and spoke English, which was helpful, and coursed out our meal for us so we weren't rushed. We felt very cozy. The restaurant is quaint and cute with French flair. We would absolutely come back here again.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a dear, sweet amazing couple that owns an apartment nearby. The waitress (Chris) spoke perfect English and was wonderful. Our meal arrived in under 10 minutes and was cooked perfectly. The ribeye and fillet we ordered were excellent. The simple green salad was delicious. Highly recommended !

Yelp
This is a small, out-of-the-way bar à vins located in a very crowded and perhaps overly popular section of Paris. And inside...well...if you arrive during prime dinner hours you'll find that Les Pipos is pretty crowded and extremely popular too, and for good reason. The menu is limited, but go with what sounds best to you and you'll likely find it to be excellent. The portions are generous, and I cannot imagine having both a starter and a main course and then ordering dessert. While I won't lecture you, the vin du jour is usually a good bet, and is served by the glass, "pot," and bottle. Unless you have your heart set on something else from their wine list, just go with that (at the least, you'll likely try something you haven't encountered previously). Naturally, the charcuterie and cheese selections are exceptional, and one could make an excellent meal from these without ever ordering a formal dinner. Something of a note to those who haven't read the French language reviews: yes, the service can be less than wonderful, but in my personal opinion it was just fine. Otherwise, it's certainly a place where a solid knowledge of the language is a nice addition. You won't hear a word of English spoken in here, most likely.

Yelp
Tucked away in a less touristy area, this little wine bar served one of the best meals I had in Paris this last trip. Prices were pretty reasonable, the wine was good, the bread was fluffy, and the food was for the most part very well prepared. The terrine de campagne from their charcuterie list was probably the best savory thing I ate all week - amazing flavor, great combination of textures, and delicious onion relish served on the side. The next time I go, I'm ordering one just for myself. Maybe two. Definitely not to be missed. The bone marrow was also quite delicious, and served in an extremely generous portion. Probably the best bone marrow I've had. One of the specialties of Les Pipos is supposed to be the Pave de Charolois (beef) with au poivre sauce, served with a side of the most delicious french fries I've ever had. The sauce was also delicious, but the beef was quite tough. The fish dishes my friends ordered were cooked to perfection: perfectly moist sole meuniere, and a crispy fried fish with aioli. Simple but absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and creme brulee. They were all ok, but not the stars of the night. Overall, great atmosphere and really good food.

Yelp
My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant and we are lucky we did. The ambiance was nice and the food was a great value for the price. We had some wine and duck confit which was so delicious. I would definitely recommend trying it!

Yelp
Had a great meal here and a live guitarist. Loved it but I only gave it 4 because of how tight the seating was.

Yelp
This is a great little restaurant to wrap up a day of wandering around the latin quarter. It was a bit tricky to decipher the menu-- a lot of meat, and I wasn't sure what anything really was!-- but the waiter was friendly and helpful. We had an incredible foie gras-- rich, fatty, delicious-- that was served with a sweet chutney and some excellent browned onions. I particularly liked this foie gras, because it was smooth and rich but still tasted like liver-- sometimes I find that it just gets hidden in whatever they do to make it, but it really shined through here (if you like liver! which i do!) we also had a rillette, which was delicious but maybe a bit texturally close to the foie gras. I think we'd have preferred a hard sausage, but only for contrast, not for taste-- this tasted excellet. We wrapped up our night with a cheese plate. Way more cheese than two people could eat! Interesting selection that had a lot of contrasts. And of course, all washed down with plenty of wine. The low-key atmosphere meant we were comfortable staying a while and reading while we nibbled on the cheese. A bit pricey, but definitely the best selection of meats we found on our trip.

Yelp
I had a great lunch here with a group of 8 friends. We made a reservation over the phone a few hours before. Food was great and the house wine was delicious. The staff were also very friendly. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Paris.

Yelp
This small and cozy restaurant is located around the quartier latin. Service was good, staff members spoke english pretty well. The pate was very good and so was the creme brulee. The steak and pasta was just Ok tho so were the wines we tried. Ambiance was good, kind of a chill place to be at for a drink and to grab a bite to eat.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, what a find. Wandering around the Latin Quarter the other night hungry and looking for just this type of place. We busted in on accordion playing older chicks seranading the crowd and asked for a table for two in broken French. The hostess humored us before breaking into fluent English and we were seated in a few minutes. The beauty of the place is the limited menu. Cheese, sausage or pate to start, five or six plates and we were off onto what was an unexpectedly wonderful dining experience. Wow, my wife won the plates competition with the best filet with bernaise and frites I have ever tasted. Simply wonderful food and atmosphere. Behind only Chez Paul, my favorite dining experience in the city of lights. Try it. You'll love it.

Yelp
Stumble across Les Pipos on our first night in Paris. We were looking for some authentic, yummy food around the Latin Quarter and noticed it was quite busy inside and that they had a variety of those stickers from magazines/newspapers vouching for it. We decided to give it a try and it was worth it. I enjoyed my steak frites but nothing compared to the foie gras we tried. It was the special of the day and absolutely fresh, delicious and decadently rich. This was definitely one of the best foie gras I've tried (and I tried quite a few while we were in Paris). The little pot of chocolate we had for dessert topped off a pretty amazing meal, exceptionally rich, not too sweet. The wine was good but I feel like you can always find good wine in Paris. Definitely try Les Pipos if you're around. The waitstaff are young, friendly and bi-(possible tri?)-lingual (likely students from the nearby university); they'll help you translate the menu.

Yelp
We had two wonderful meals at Les Pipos in June 2013. We wandered in because our hotel was nearby and ended up going back for a second night. It is a tiny and crowded place - you must have reservations on weekends. Our waitress, Crislaine, was fantastic. Even though we can get by in French, she spoke English and explained each dish available in detail with personalized options. Throughout both evenings her friendliness and service, with wine suggestions, was just as wonderful as the food. The menu changes each evening and so the first night we had the steak with Bernaise sauce, pork and a wonderful sole meuniere which she asked the chef to make special. She explained how to eat the Gorgonzola on the cheese plate with butter - more fat cannot be bad! The strawberries for dessert were unlike anything we had had in the States. The second night we went with the traditional roast chicken and duck - wonderful. Especially when you can have it taken back to the kitchen for a touch - up if it's not just how you want it. We lived in Paris for 3 years previously but on the other side of the city and sadly we never tried Les Pipos before. We will be sure to go there first thing the next time we visit.
