The dish was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The balance of flavors was spot-on, and everything tasted good.I would gladly come back just for this! The cocktails was amazing i tried piña colada and it was the best!! Shout out to my server “JAY-AR” he served good and did amazing job ..TYSM ..i definitely recommended this restaurant..🥰🥰🥰🥰

We had dinner and really enjoyed it! We started with tapas the bomba was amazing, even better than the one we tried at another place before. The sangria was fantastic full of fruit and perfectly balanced, so easy to drink! We shared a seafood paella, which was tasty and full of flavour, especially the rice. For dessert, we tried churros (really good!) and Catalan cream, which I personally didn’t like that much. Overall, quite touristy place but great food and lovely atmosphere definitely worth visiting!

Les Quinze Nits deserves the level of a five-star hotel restaurant. The truffle pasta was absolutely amazing. Anyone around here should definitely give this place a try — I highly recommend it.

We had a reservation and were seated in the terrace. The server lady was very friendly and kind. The atmosphere was perfect. We splurged and ordered fancy mix seafood, which looked amazing but the taste was ordinary, probably because we come from Japan with readily available very high quality seafood. But the Arroz Negro was out of this World!! I would fly back from any other place in the world just to have it again someday! I also would give four stars for the dessert as well.

5 stars is too little for this review! The food was delicious, the atmosphere speaks for itself but the service - I suggest to look for Brita! She was gorgeous and very polite! I’ll leave some photos for you to tease 😁

This restaurant is very nice and well located. The food was alright nothing wow, price considered high. We tried seafood platter and seafood paella, bland, not really worth, €30 each but lot of small clams and cheap mussels. Paella was way too wet.

Yeah... Some comments here mention tourist traps. Maybe. The food was... ok, but the portion was small. The sangria was good. The service though is quite questionable. The waitresses seems to hate to be there. I asked for my check and took half an hour to be taken to me. The bathroom was amazing, with a antique catalan vault. Sitting outside has its ups and downs. You can see the Plaza Real square, which is great, but people keep passing through the tables. A guy asked me for money because apparently he was a gymnast doing some stunts across the square (?). Non related to the restaurant per se, but the family sitting next to me kept poking some pimples from an old lady's back. Disgusting.

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful square with a fountain at the centre surrounded by other restaurants. We choose to eat here as all the other eateries had someone on the outside trying to persuade you to eat, something which I don’t like and don’t want to be pressured. The waiter was easy going and when it started to rain even changed our table without us even asking. The arancini were lovely and so was the Paella . Recommended 👍🏻

Touristy place in gothic quarter but came as recommendation from our tattoo artist :) They have a giant menu- something for everyone in my opinion. Good prices. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service was a bit slow but friendly. It was a hot day so there were gnats. And there were kids outside who kept chasing birds. Those were only annoyances :) I enjoyed the gazpacho and chicken croquettes. My friend got fried fish which came with potatoes. We shared a liter of sangria. Would recommend!

The Les Quinze Nits is a busy well known eatery in the Placa Reial within the Gothic Quarter. This ritsy restaurant has a private room in the back just past the bar where we dined for an hour tasting several traditional spanish dishes including Squid Ink Negro Arroz, Fried Aubergine with Chili Sauce and lots of wine. The covered outside patio was the perfect romantic setting providing the option of watching tourists gawking at the open square.

Great little place to stop in at while visiting Placa Reial. Yummy local dishes and good wine!

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend on our first night in Barcelona. We opted to sit outside so we could people watch and there is a 10% surcharge for that. We ordered the pernil (jamon) and pa amb tomaquet, patates braves, and arroz negro (minimum 2 person order). All the food was tasty. The pernil was good quality and the patates braves came with 2 tasty sauces and a sausage mixed in. The arroz negro with their aioli was my favorite part; it was quite filling and had a nice texture. They accept credit cards and also have indoor seating. It's good for big groups and tourists though my boyfriend's family (who are Catalan) also enjoy this place.

Real good breakfast place, we even came here 2 days in a row! Actually ended up coming here because the fancy brunch please nearby Had a long wait list but we are definitely glad we came here. Food was absolutely delicious and so so so cheap! Five of us had a meal for about 35 Euros and we were not expecting this at all! And this is after getting croissants and coffee and juice and such as well along with egg items. Portion sizes on the omelette did seem a little small but along with everything else it was good and filling! Game with toast on the side which had some tomatoes spread on top so that was nice. The skillet omelette also was really nice. Really like the spicy sauce that was on that one! Husband and sister both enjoyed this for sure. Husband got the grilled croissant sandwich - said it was nice! Dad tried the Eggs Benedict and loved it! Also got the chicken avocado sandwich which was extremely large and delicious!! Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino were both quite large and yummy!

Tourist trap, highbcost of food for a small amount, the seafood paella was a bit too salty for my taste and such a small amount , not enough to fill 2 people, the wait time is really long , took 20 min to receive menu, and a hour to get our food. Also they messed up our check, we only ordered the paella and our check showed 5 different items. I would avoid thisbplace.

The food was complete disappointment, zumo de melocoton tasted horrible, served only one piece . Paella was tasteless, seafood over cooked. Iberian ham was good, didn't get the bread with fresh mushed tomatoes (?). Sangria was delicious. Service was good, waitress was pleasant. Good location, horrible food. Would not recommend.

The restaurant sits at the vibrant Plaza Real and provide incredibly delicious food. The Black Rice with Cuttlefish and Fideua Noodle, Fishermen's Style are so delicious.

We had such an amazing experience in Les Quinze Nits. They have great seating options for outside or inside (the decorations inside are stunning and the seating outside is perfect for a sunny and warm day out). They have a great menu of the day option but we decided to order the fideuá for 2 people and the spinach salad. Both of them were delicious and very filling! The service was also great and attentive to our needs. Will definitely be back

I was staying at a nearby hotel and asked the hotel manager for some food recommendations and this spot came up in our conversation. She recommended I go here for some paella, but in honesty I think she was referring me here since I was of Asian ethnicity. More on that story! When I arrived here, I was a little surprised by lots of my southeast Asian peeps working here! Lots of Filipino staff and came to find out they own a few of the restaurants in this courtyard establishment. The menu was a bit of a mixup as they had Asian dishes such as gyoza and sushi! Overall I thought the food was decent. I went with the seafood paella. It wasn't the greatest I've ever had, but I also had a lot leftover. I paired with a nice glass of Chardonnay and the Filipino waiter and I had some good conversations about the history of Spain and Barcelona. That made my evening more entertaining nevertheless! I think the restaurant is made to cater to a lot of tourists since this is a tourist hub in the city of Barcelona. I felt like the service made up for whatever was lacking in my paella. I left as a satisfied customer and had no complaints.

On a Saturday evening. It was busy... always a short wait for seating. We were attracted by the moderate wine pricing.... about 50 bottles all priced under 28 euros. The beer and house wines had reasonable prices as well. Our paella was just 15.50 euro per person...a good surprise. It was good... but not wonderful. ( a bit light on meat and spices,) The plaza had about 12 restaurants... and a market with about 10 places selling mostly jewelry. It was a great Saturday evening. For a white-table-cloth restaurant, it is perfect.

Service and ambiance was good but the food is mediocre! The seafood paella is very salty and was not the traditional saffron-infused paella. Perhaps, it's because I was not in the region of Valencia, Spain. I dined in with 3 other individuals and we all agreed that the food we had at this restaurant were not good.

I had such high hopes for the paella. I should have read other peoples reviews before coming here... The paella came out crusty and cold, the calamari was rubber and I agree with a previous poster that I don't believe there's any Spaniards cooking or working at this place. Feels like a tourist trap-avoid!

Came here for lunch our first day in Barcelona. I can't say I recommend this place... we heard good reviews so wanted to give it a shot, but the experience was underwhelming. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day out, but as we were eating lunch, someone came up running behind our table and tried to grab out backpack from under the table. Luckily, they were not able to get the bag, but it was a scary experience. So if you sit outside, please be mindful of pickpockets. The food was also lackluster. Nothing special. We had been looking forward to trying authentic paella, but even that was not very good. I wouldn't recommend this place, but maybe their other dishes are better.. or maybe it is better for dinner.

The food was amazing. They have a great fixed menu, great selections! Our server Priscilla was the best. She delivered our food, checked to make sure we liked how it was prepared and just did a wonderful job for us

I honestly would give this restaurant 3 1/2 stars. The food was good but not my type of paella. This one had almost like a gravy on it. The sangria was pretty good. Sitting outside to people watch from the restaurant was really nice. Some beggars to come by but not annoyingly so.

Great atmosphere and really good (stromg) sangria. Love the Placa Reial, great outdoor seating for people watching and just relaxing. Had the tuna salad, calamari, and patatas bravas. We had also ordered mussels but it hadn't come out by the time we finished eating and they allowed us to cancel the order.

I don't recommend the restaurant. Came from the airport from Rome with a desire to eat Paella. This restaurant has to be one of the worst I have been. The Paella is not the typical paella. Not even made by Spaniards. It's made by Middle East people in the kitchen without saffron. The waitresses are from the Philippines. Not what I was expecting to come to Barcelona for authentic Spanish food. The wine isn't bad but the food is horrible. Don't recommend the seafood paella and do not recommend the octopus tapas. It's just mashed potatoes with some octopus as garnishing. It's expensive potatoes. You have been warned. Horrible!

this place got recommended to me by a friend! the mussels were really good! the food was a overall 10/10. if you're not big on seafood, the pasta was good too. the sauce wasn't anything special but it was delicious!! the service though...! it was very slow and took forever. the ambiance was very chill! nice outdoor seating if the weather cooperates. the sangria was ok, very bitter. the tiramisu was non traditional. there were no lady fingers! overall good place and would come again for the food!

Came here for dinner and did not disappoint. Beautiful place surrounded with other restaurants and a fountain in the middle which we were told lights up but been broken. Our server Editha which btw was amazing recommended black rice. Never had black rice before but oh boy it was bomb especially mixed with the garlic aoili! Don't forget to stop here while in Barca. Jamie W. and I have been here before. About nine years ago when we were last in Barcelona. It's hard to resist Plaça Reial when it comes to heavy-duty people watching because the interior square sits so snugly between Barri Gòtic and La Ramblas. We were relaxing like true Catalans having a pitcher of sangria at twilight the last time we were here. This time it was after a morning stroll through the historic alleyways from our hotel in L'Eixample. The weather couldn't have been better, so we sat ourselves down at a small table where we could take in the variety of mankind from our seats. The waitresses were kept busy by indecisive tables of tourists of many different stripes. We were just pleased to be able nurse our 1.85€ Lattes (photo: http://bit.ly/2B6bn3U). Even though we did have our breakfast meal bars back at the hotel, we decided to share a tumbler filled with the 4.85€ Yoghurt with Seasonal Fruit & Homemade Granola because frankly it looked so good as it passed by. This is located in Placa Reial which may seem like a tourist trap but it was recommended by others. Great location and nice view! They serve breakfast and lunch begins at 12 (but only outside). 11.35 euros for the menu of the day (starter, main course, dessert or coffee, and water or wine). We ordered gazpacho (cold vegetable soup), vegetables, paella and a rose and white wine. Wines came out in a cute glass bottle. Squid ink croquettes were one of my favorites! Recommend ordering paella off the menu of the day. Still tasted good, nothing extraordinary but it comes on a plate not in a pan from the menu. Vegetables were very bland. Dessert consisted of magnum ice cream and a fruit salad which was nothing special. Overall it was a good amount of food for the price. Midway through our meal at 1pm, the outside and inside of the restaurant was packed! Special note about my experience with the service though: HORRENDOUS. Europe has a rep for bad service so you get accustomed to it. However this was beyond that. The waitress had an attitude that really came out when the wrong order was brought out. She argued with us AND complained loudly in Spanish (thankfully I understand Spanish) before bringing out the correct order. The other waiters seemed very pleasant and did not encourage the complaining so it may not be the restaurant but just certain individuals. Let's be honest - we all try to pretend that we're not like the other tourists, but in many ways - we are. We walk La Rambla, we visit La Boqueria and from time to time - we end up in an eatery focused solely on tourists. Still, I hate the moment when it happens. But still being honest - Les Quinze Nits is not that bad place to end up. The food is quite good, the service is professional and you could expect higher prices in a place so close to La Rambla. So, not my first choice, but not necessarily a place to avoid.

Barcelona has totally redefined "el fresco" for me, truly setting the bar high on this one! The sun-dripped cascade and the bustle of the square make for an eclectic, mid-spring atmosphere. Not to mention the richness and presentation of their paella, which tasted as good as it looked! While the wait may turn out to be longer than expected, the time will pass with the considerable people-watching. That, or perhaps the sangria earlier in the day really got to us.

We were told by a souvenir shop keeper to come here for some of the best Spanish food in Barcelona. Was he right? Yea, partly. Les Quinze Nits is situated inside a very beautiful plaza in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. Given its location, I expected prices to be higher with bustling activity throughout. The restaurant definitely felt much more upscale than a lot of other joints, and the wait staff definitely seemed impatient when we did not have our order ready. Eventually, we ordered a pitcher of sangria along with a mixed paella (9€ a person), baby octopus appetizer, and eventually some desserts. The octopus was my favorite part of the meal. It wasn't overly salty and the bed of crisps gave it a nice crunch. As for the paella, I found it a bit too soggy for my taste, and not a whole lot of food for the amount that were paying. It was still edible and good, but not amazing. Both desserts that we ordered was okay. Nothing really outstanding to rave about, but a great pallet cleanser nonetheless. Overall, I think if you can snag a table outside, this restaurant would be worth the price paid. However, I'd try to look for other alternatives if you can, especially in spots that offer menu del dias so you get the most out of your euro.

Rhe red house wine is really good amd half litter was around 4.55 euros...whatttttt???? Yes, my kind of place. Give it a try, it's cheap and good.

We ordered the mussels they were lacking flavor , the calamari was soggy and the Paella tasted like it had been sitting there for quite some Time before they served it to us. Not a place I would suggest .

Food was tasty but service is terrible. We finished eating about 20 min ago and we are still waiting to see the waitress. Drinks are empty, she is too busy. Also, one of the dishes was listed as vegan and we found chicken bits in the sauce (gnocchi with vegan Bolognese sauce) Half an hour after waiting for the waitress to take our dessert order we walked away with no dessert. Service here is the worst!! Too bad because the food was decent.

Just an average place for food. Everyone warns you against coming and spending your money in this part of the town. We didn't listen and we paid. This was not really the paella experience. I loved Spain in general to everything average seemed a lot better because of the beautiful people.

Go to the Gothic Quarter they said, it'll be the best food in Barcelona they said, surrrrreeeee budd! I'm here to say the Gothic quarter and many of it's restaurants are over rated. That isn't to say all restaurants and bars in this BCN neighbourhood are bad but from what I came to experience it's a lot of reviews based on volume of tourists rather than quality of food and service. Les Quinze Nits was no different. On Yelp and TripAdvisor it boasts one of the highest number of reviews in the area, and leagues above anything in the Plaça Riel area just off La Rambla, but the reviews mean nothing in this instance. The food was mass produced crap meant to be turned out as fast as possible with as little care or attention to detail as is needed. The redeeming quality of this restaurant is that you are able to dine outside if you would like and can people watch in the square. Oh, people watch and be assaulted/bothered by every panhandler, street vendor and derelict who staggers into the square. I get that it's a public space but wow the restaurant people do absolutely nothing to dissuade these folks or to guarantee the safety and comfort of their al fresco dining guests. True story, a guy pretending to be disabled (walked away fine when a manger came around) spat at a couple next to us and called them 'whores' when they refused to give him money. My wife enjoyed her pasta and for some reason they got that one right. I ordered a dish and the noodles were so overcooked they could barely stay on my fork once pierced. I sent it back and asked for it to be redone - probably got spit in my meal for all I know, because when the "new" dish came back the pasta was just as mushy as before, just topped with even more sauce. Service was my other problem here, basically you get seated and then asked "Are you ready to order?" We weren't at that point and said we needed a minute, which turned into 40 minutes before we saw someone again. The wait time for food was insane, as was the wait time on getting a fresh dish made. Don't believe TripAdvisor and it's 4+ star average, Yelp is far more accurate putting that at 3 stars. I wouldn't come back here and strongly advise you to avoid this place like the plague. I have been here many times and was excited to return. The food was very good the service was a bit slow but pleasant. We had the menu offered that day and we really enjoyed everything. The menu is very good value.

This place is amazing!! Prices are lower than expected for the experience and quality of food. Portions are great for groups, tapas were enough for 4 people. Paella for 2 was enough for 3 really, and the service was great. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona. Also, go at night for a nice view of Plaza Real!

We wait about 45 min for a outside table for 2. But its worth it! The food was very good. The place is nice, pretty close to Barcelona harbor in a very beautiful yard. We ordered Paella. I'm not a big fan of this food but I think it was good!

Have you ever heard the saying Go where the locals go they know where the good food is OR If you see a lot of people the food must be good!.... Well this place came Highly recommended by several locals as a place you MUST go eat!.... they lied to me!, the best thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere of the outdoor dining area because the food really sucked... This place was recommended by our tour guide and glad we took his advice. The food was hot and tasty. It's located in the Placa Reial so the setting is really nice for people watching and the activities of the adjacent La Ramblas. Roasted lamb was excellent. Staff was attentive and kept the food coming in sync. Lunch prices are very reasonable. Don't miss this place if you're in Barcelona.

During a week long stay in Barcelona my wife and I went to Les Quinze Nitz a couple of times. The patio overlooking the square was awesome. The food was delicious. The prices great. The people watching fantastic. And the service was also excellent. I would definitely go back to Les Quinze Nitz if we're ever back. I'll probably drink too much sangria too.

Nice restaurant in a Plaza. If you are going for dinner, be sure to be there at 7pm, because there will be a line for the wait. It's worth the experience!! We were seated in the second floor which had a nice view into the Plaza. Tried out the Black Rice with Cuttlefish & Pasta that were very good!! We also tried a rice with octupus black ink. Service is impeccable, ambience and decoration is very chic!

This is a superb restaurant that delivers great value. Especially good is the fresh seafood, and a nice comprehensive dessert menu. Although it's in the heart of Plaza Real, inside there is a nice calmish ambience. Outdoor seating is also available if you like to soak up the atmosphere of the plaza. From various visits, several dishes stood out: the battered hake; grilled squids with basil and parsley oil; the Tomato soup; Mushroom and asparagus soup; and for dessert the "White chocolate cake with two chocolates".

We ordered seafood paella tonight, it was all bad. We tried seafood paella at 4 different place. This is the worst.

I really loved this place and remember it fondly. I went back in 2005 when I was visiting Barcelona. My friends and I went for dinner and the line was out the door (everyone was waiting for it to open!) We made it in and enjoyed a bunch of stuff off the menu. I do remember my vegetable pasta being really good. We also had sangria which was really yummy. The restaurant had two floors when we went (we were seated upstairs)...the whole place was gorgeous. Definitely recommended.

Good food, good location, good price. We had tapas and the paella. The patatas bravas was good and generously portioned, but not the best I've had. Don't get the nachos, guacamole did not seem fresh. The paella was hot and steamy and delicious. it's a minimum two person order, so eat with a friend! Lots of seafood and completely satisfying. Extremely good for the price! Besides this, there's lots of variety on the menu, all fairly priced. Great location in the Plaza Reial. There's outdoor seating with heat lamps so you can enjoy the pretty palm trees in the square. My only gripe: the service. When we went, it was around 4PM so the restaurant was pretty dead, yet everything was still really slow. Took long to order our food. Understandably though, paella takes 20-30 minutes to make usually, so keep this in mind. Get the sangria pitcher!

Really nice outdoor seating in the Plaza Real to go with fast friendly English speaking server and menu. Our waitress gave us a heads up on leaving cell phones on court side of our table as there are quick handed felons ready to grab N go. Our food was prepared well and presentation was incredible. I recommend the authentic Paella.

I think this place deserves to be named as a tourist trap, great view of Plaza, but nonetheless, it should not be recommended. The host, and servers all have no characters and repeatedly will cut you off while you are talking, requesting orders. And I thought all the negative reviews were just a bunch of fussy people complaining about small things! Beware though, people working in this place are not nice. Everyone seemed to be ordering some type of paella so I went with the flow ordering Black Paella, and this dish does not have anything special in it besides well, color black. Great view, Mediocre food, and Terrible service is how I sum up this place. Please save your time and money and so servers can actually learn to appreciate diners.

Here's the deal: it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It got the job done after flying in that evening and needing a close place for a quick meal before a show. Pros: -Seated almost immediately. -Options. -Pretty quick service. -People watching on the plaza! Cons: -Food wasn't anything special; didn't feel like an authentic Spanish experience.

3/5 stars Barcelona is my favorite European city! Les Quinze is located in the heart of downtown, in a plaza. We were there 1 hr before the doors opened for dinner at 7:30pm (doors opened at 8:30pm--ppl eat late and party late!), and there were already 30+ ppl in line, and after 30 minutes, there were another 30+ ppl behind us! So ridiculous; I thought the food was good, but not great! The highlight were their paella and sangria, but otherwise, it was just OK and affordable.

Stay away from this place please. Everything we tasted was horrible. Stale food reheated and no taste or bad taste. Stinky food. Bad service. No one cares about anything. Seriously the worst food We've ever had I our lives and we are not picky at all. We tried many things as we were crowded and everything was really really bad.
