We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was large with 2 windows looking out onto the beautiful courtyard. The bathroom was also large, but could have hooks to hang up towels and toiletry bags. Breakfast was served inside as it was too cool to eat in the courtyard. The buffet had excellent selections, and hot made-to-order egg dishes were also offered. Beaune, old city, is not large and everything was easily reached by foot within minutes. Parking was a block away, and free. Our room was up one floor by stone spiral steps. They were charming rather than difficult (we are early 70’s) and contributed to the ambiance of the hotel. Perfect place to stay for 2 nights.

We were so lucky. Our air BNB host put us here for 1 night since the electricity wasn’t working. What a treat for us! ||Lydie placed us in a renovated room and the king bed was super comfortable. Grand Echezeaux was our room. Opened windows for a cool breeze and overlooking scenic courtyard. ||Our breakfast was wonderfully French. Overloaded on fresh croissants/ butter / jams & scrambled eggs. ||We were awakened at 5:30 by the couple above us - rolling suitcases around. Maybe choose a top floor if noise is an issue. ||We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful historical building too.

Le Remparts Hotel is a charming gem in the heart of Beaune. We experienced nothing but a positive experience. The rooms were large and well appointed. The lobby, courtyard, dining area and small bar were great. It was so comfortable we didn't want to leave! This is a great hotel for the money and their service was top notice.

This place is fantastic! The hotel is so charming and feels very French. The beds are so comfortable and there were unique touches of Beaune everywhere (especially the little wine keychain for the room key). I loved it! I would love to go back.

Beautiful little hotel with fantastic bed and bathrooms. Very clean and staff were very friendly. ||We did not have breakfast as we preferred to wander into town. ||Better coffee making facilities would have been nice. (Or perhaps instructions for the coffee machine)

We stayed in this charming, historic hotel for three nights in May 2023. We had a large room overlooking the courtyard. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet. Breakfast is wonderful, and a nice start to the day. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but is an easy walk to the city center. There is some street parking, but we were advised to park in the nearby garage. It was very convenient. The staff is friendly, and willing to answer any and all questions. We will definitely stay here again.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Les Remparts in Beaune, and I must say that the overall experience was quite disappointing. While the hotel had some positive aspects, the negatives outweighed them significantly. Firstly, the Junior Suite we were assigned was located on the ground floor, right next to a high-traffic area. This meant that throughout the day, other guests were constantly passing by our room, forcing us to keep the curtains drawn for privacy. This lack of natural light made the room feel claustrophobic and took away from the enjoyment of our stay. Furthermore, the breakfast area was situated directly in front of our room, leading to a constant buzz of activity from as early as 8:00 am. This made it impossible to sleep in or enjoy a peaceful morning. We decided against having breakfast at the hotel, as the additional charge of €23 seemed excessive. However, we did expect basic service when we requested a cappuccino before heading out for our own breakfast. Unfortunately, the staff completely ignored us, and after waiting for 15 minutes, we had to voice our complaints. To add to our disappointment, upon returning from breakfast, we found that the bed had been neatly made, but the bathroom had not been touched. The towels we had left in the sink for replacement were still there, unchanged. This lack of attention to detail and cleanliness was unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, our experience at Hotel Les Remparts was far from satisfactory. The staff's indifference and lack of hospitality left us feeling like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at this unique and historic hotel. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the train station and a very quick walk to the downtown attractions in Beaune. Our room was on the third floor and up a windy staircase but it was large, quiet and very comfortable. (Check the hotel’s photos to see the rooms. Some people might not like the large beams overhead.) We had breakfast in the lovely courtyard every morning. Arnold at the front desk was very helpful and made some good suggestions for dinner and the light show downtown. It was definitely worth seeing. We will recommend this hotel to friends traveling to Beaune!
