Google
The view from our bedroom, the quality of the food, outstanding breakfast, access to a wonderful beach, the overall service and location all are worthy of 5 stars. Our bedroom was furnished to a good standard, very comfortable beds, great shower, lovely sitting area to enjoy fantastic views. Complimentary mini bar and good quality coffee added bonus. Room was a little on the small size, relative to price.|We had a gourmet dinner one night.. outstanding.|Staff very keen to assist.

The views from this hotel are spectacular. It’s definitely worth upgrading to the sea view. Many of the previous reviews reflect the hotel before it was renovated. Staff were all very helpful. There is parking on site (but needs to be reserved) and also electric charge points (thank you). Restaurant was lovely for dinner but we opted not to have breakfast as we thought this was a bit expensive. Location of hotel is at the edge of town but easy walk or bike ride.

Great hotel! We loved the view from the room. The staff was super nice as well. There's a small but nice spa as well. I highly recommend a stay if you're ever in the area.

Google
Beautiful hotel, my family needed a last minute stay this weekend and they loved waking up to the spectacular ocean view in the morning. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The hotel is perfectly situated on the beach for swimming, tanning or nice long walks with super friendly staff. Merci beaucoup!

We had an absolutely brilliant time at Les Vagues and would definitely return. Staff were excellent, so helpful and polite, and the food, both room service and breakfast were great. Looking forward to coming back!

It is without a doubt a great hotel and I will be back. The view from sea view room is magnificent, the restaurant location ( veranda and indoor seating ) are great, breakfast is perfect, location is perfect- close to Arcachon central plage with the restaurants and shops but far enough so the crowds of people stay away. |Why 4 stars? |The restaurant menu was unfortunately not great, mainly oysters and salads or a pasta dish. No cooked fish/ meat dishes so only acceptable for lunch . Parking space is very limited, we booked a parking spot but on arrival they didn’t have any space so we had to find a spot on the road instead. And finally, the roof top bar. Great place with a view but no service. We gave up waiting and went for dinner instead. Barman did wish us a nice evening but we would have preferred some drinks instead.

Yelp
First of all to get to the hotel. The hotel can't help it, but the city decided to ban all cars. It took us over an hour to get to our hotel, which was only 4 km away. All road were closed off to cars from noon to 11 pm and there were no signs how to get to the hotel. Finally we found the hotel, but there were no parking spaces. Mind you, we paid almost 400 euros for a room for 1 night. Thanks to a great parking guy, he parked our car for us somewhere else in a street. Then we could only get 1 key card to our room. Room looked okay, but you don't have a night stand. Where can you put your water glass, glasses, book? The bathroom looks cool, but there is no place to put your toiletry bag. I put them on the floor, but they were soaked after taking a shower. Then we wanted to eat dinner. We had the choice between tapas on the rooftop and a real dinner in the restaurant. We decided to check out the rooftop and had a drink there first. There is only 1 lift in the building, so it took 15 minutes to get the elevator. Beautiful view over the Gironde. Very kind and hardworking bartenders, but it was quite windy and cold, so we decided we would have dinner in the dining room. The dining room was beautiful. You could sit in or outside. We decided on inside. The menu was weird. It started with oysters, so far so good. Then tuna tataki, well look it up for yourself, but the were no real main courses except for cannelloni. I had the tuna tataki and the grilled eggplant. It tasted quite nice, but wasn't a real meal. The location of the hotel is great, right on the beach, the people working there are really nice and helpful, to get there is horrible and the whole experience was not worth the money.
