We agree with everybody here. We came to Chamonix on our bucket list Europe tour in 2007.-2008. Went to the Kandahar race at Les Houches and while skiing and snowboarding, took an out of the way lift which went right over the top of this plane. Saw people eating outside on that sunny day and then tried to find the hidden barely marked path to ski in. Not for the squeemish. You need to be a good skier and s better snowboarder to ski in, otherwise walk it. The trail is narrow, fast and perilous… and so worth it!!! This became our favorite haunt the entire time we were there. We came back a couple times since, staying in Chamonix for 6 weeks. We spent most days at Les Houches skiing Le Verte, the Kandahar Coupe Du Monde course all day, and would eat here for lunch religiously. As others have said, this is the best place in the area, which is saying a LOT, because Chamonix is FULL of fantastic restaurants. We love many, and we live Skiing and riding all the resorts, but Le Verte is a top to bottom high speed run and this place is the ultimate icing on the cake. Or, maybe this is the main attraction and skiing Le Verte is the icing? Who cares!!!! It makes for an amazing day every day! One of our absolute lifetime experiences. Repeatedly! Can’t wait to get back!
