L'Escabeau d'Omnino

I enjoyed this little coffee spot a lot! The barista helped me choose the variety of beans for espresso (two origins were available at that time, Rwanda and Columbia, he explained the flavour palette and I chose the one from Rwanda - it was amazing...). The place was really cozy, with lovely little tea cups and the service was 10/10. The sweets they offered were diverse and delicious. I highly recommend this place :>

The coffee is a bit sour but good. They have oat milk which is great. Their cups are beautiful but there are only two sitting tables in the cafe.

I love when a café is tucked in a quiet alley away from the bustle. A classic European cafe with a bench to enjoy your coffee, slow down, and soak the sun for a moment... The cups are beautiful just as everyone says, I felt like a king drinking my espresso from a cup with a gold rim. The coffee was delicious and balanced, flat white was well prepared. An excellent coffee shop!

A carefully and meticulously crafted coffee experience is the easiest way to describe my experience at L'Escabeau d'Omnino. The cafe provides a hospitable experience with a small yet well selected choice of beans for hand brew or batch brew (both of which I tried and was delighted by). The staff is knowledgeable, approachable and takes good care of you (they speak both English and French fluently). The cafe allows you to enjoy modern and hip filter coffee brewing techniques in a traditional French cozy city, which is a mix I haven't encountered much. A definite must if you're in Strasbourg, however do mind that the establishment doesn't provide much seating besides a table outside and an espresso style bar inside, however I'd say that's part of the charm. So hurry and get that seat to treat yourself and your loved ones to a warm flavorful cup of coffee:)

Very very little café. If you have a place it might feel very charming and intimate. It can host 2 people inside at the comptoir and maybe 2 more outside. So I guess you'll take it to go. The coffee was good.

Had a quick but blissful coffee fix here yesterday. The coffee is really good, homemade cookies are delicious, table basking in the sun just outside of cafe is enjoyable more than words can say. Looking forward tasting the beans I've purchased from them.

Great idea, but so many “but”: the idea of the cafe is to enjoy your coffee IN THE CAFÉ in beautiful vintage cups, but they have only ONE table outside and ONE bar stool, if you want to have your coffee inside. Utterly ridiculous. If you remove unnecessary decorations outside, there will be room for two more tables. I finally managed to take the table after many attempts. And I got my cup with the wrong plate, from another cup... Very disappointing. And as if all this wasn't enough, the coffee was pretty bad, without any coffee taste, just milk. Not Beckham’s day for me or for the cafe.

It was one of the best coffees that tasted here in Strassbourg.. the freshness of the coffee was amazing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about coffee. It enhance my skills as well as Barista.. the person who worked here is very friendly and accommodating. Merci!!
