Location: directly on the beach. Rooms: simple, tidy, pretty, cozy, functional (and equipped with a Dyson fan). Each room has its "veranda" with gazebo, table and chairs. Prices: very friendly. Staff: honest and delightful (if you are into fake smiles, maybe this is not the right place, but if you are into sincere smiles and actual help, this is definitely the right place). In the evenings you can have a drink at the reception's bar and if you do you'll notice that many customers are loyal customers that come back every year, and I guess that's the best review a place could have. Privacy is guaranteed, but should you need help or info they are only 20 secs from your door. All in all a beautiful experience in a beautiful place that I can only recommend to everyone. Supermegaok!

Absolutely stunning location, right on the beach, this place is definitely worth checking out. Rooms are kind of small and lack some of the amenities we are now used to (no air conditioning, no fridge), but the location makes up for most of it. We didn't try breakfast, but you have to reserve it the night before if you want to make use of it.

We have visited this restaurant during a very hot day and the place is under shadow making it a comfortable experience with a nice view at nearby square. Wok dish was very nice with the right balance of ingredients and taste and we enjoyed it very much. Cocktail I ordered tasted also nice and surprisingly balanced. I highly recommend this place to travelers in a look for tasty food and a bit of rest during a hot day.

Whilst the rooms are fairly basic, they do offer excellent value for money. The beds were comfortable and space was sufficient. ||||Despite a lack of air-conditioning the rooms remained at a pleasant temperature, even when it was hot outside. ||||The cleaners did an excellent job of ensuring the beds were made and that we had clean bed linen and towels. ||||The manager was always very helpful and also extremely welcoming to us. He speaks English which was useful as my French speaking is poor!||||Having eaten late most evenings we didn't try the breakfast and therefore cannot pass comment on it. ||||There are plenty of restaurants, a boulangerie and a SPAR convenience store all just a short walk away. ||||If you stay here you will benefit from the beach being on your doorstep. From our door it took no more than 30 seconds to be treading the sand. The beach was very clean and reasonably quiet. ||||Overall we were very happy to stay here and would stay again should we ever be fortunate enough to visit Corsica again.

Very basic room with fully functioning bathroom. Very clean when we arrived with lots of clean towels. Had a table outside our door so we could enjoy our meals or reading a book. Most of tables had a sun cover over the area which provided some shade. Although no air-conditioning the rooms were cool enough to sleep due to reduced temperature at night. Left door open for fresh air which really helped. Staff was friendly and helpful. Local town was delightful, with some nice restaurants and bars and places to enjoy Corsican food.||||Place was clean, the beach was wonderful with very clear water. After going to another local beach recommended by Lonely Planet, finding it small, overcrowded and expensive, we went back to the beach here. We did not try the breakfast as we elected to walk to the town for our coffee in the morning.

The really great thing about the place is the location, literally right on the beach.||||Walking to the quaint town centre of Algajola takes 6-7 minutes along the beach or on the road. Right at the railroad crossing near the entrance to the "hotel" there is a small convenience shop where you can get fresh bread in the morning.||From Algajola rail station you can catch the train to Calvi and l'Il Rousse.||||The accomodation consists of rows of prefabricated concrete (or a similar material) huts with minimalistic interior. The essentials, bed and bathroom where very good and everything felt very clean. The door to the room leads directly outside, stepping on sand immediately.||Making sure to brush the sand off your feet and regularly sweep the floor with the supplied broom is an important routine to keep the room tidy.||||There is a ceiling fan, but no air conditioning. However, if you keep the shade down on the single window, the room kept remarkably cool though the sun was out all day and outside daytime temperature exceeded 30 degrees C||||Each room has a small shaded porch with a table and chairs. ||||There is a reception and a breakfast room, where you can choose to buy a basic continental breakfast. We preferred to make our own breakfast on our porch.||The receptionist and cleaning staff where friendly and efficient.||||Due to the wonderful location I would definitely recommend the hotel, but you have to accept that accomodation is pretty basic.||||A few notes on the negative side||There where no cupboard or pegs to hang clothes on. This could easily be added by the hotel and would make the room more practical||No A/C, but as mentioned, it was not too warm

I thought long and hard about this review. There are so many negatives that I could write about the property: it's hot, very hot! No air con and no fans. Our first night we thought we were going to die! The rooms and furnishings are very basic, the shower area could do with re-configuring to make it more usable. For us, it brought to mind a Butlins holiday camp and that's not a good thing!||||However...||The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beautiful beach and an easy walk to some fabulous restaurants. Oh, what an amazing feeling to go for a run each morning and then jump into the cooling sea!||The sound of the waves to lull you to sleep is just fantastic. Breakfast is good value and the staff are friendly and helpful.||||So, improvements could be made, it could have a big makeover and be an amazing place. But then, we almost certainly wouldn't be able to afford to stay in it so don't change!

Do you want an essential, informal, clean, friendly place directly on the beach? This is the place! Algajola has a very nice beach, warm and very clean sea. The rooms are essential (remember it is a 2 stars hotel, so don't expect luxury furniture, air conditioning, or similar things) but clean, comfortable, and most important for us, directly on the beach. I discovered air conditioning is not a must, as, a light, dry, wind during evening and night gives you quiet and comfortable nights, sleeping well. The owner and the personnel are very nice and friendly, I went twice...and I think I'll go other times, lovely place!
