L'Escale - Restaurant - Café

I stopped by this place around 2 pm for a quick meal and to enjoy the beautiful view near the Seine. Unfortunately the normal kitchen was closed, but they offered some small snacks to choose from. I got some fries and green olives, both tasted great! It's a wonderfully authentic place with French music playing inside and friendly staff that welcomes everyone. It feels like a gem in this tourist area! Definitely recommend this place! 💖

My favorite spot to hang out in Paris. Great foods, drinks, and the manager and bartenders are so much fun and friendly. Authentic Parisien café and bistro that is hard to find on the island. The outside sitting on the bridge over the Seine is also a plus plus ☀️☀️☀️

A lovely spot for a second coffee as wander around Paris. A unique island coffee bar inside, on a unique island! Several locals inside enjoying coffee whilst reading or chatting at the brass topped bar with the manager who serves delicious espresso.

Excellent coffee, not expensive and friendly service. Recommended.

We paid 12€ for a hot chocolate and an espresso. The hot chocolate was a cup of cold milk with low quality chocolate powder in it which had not been dissolved. It was not drinkable. We asked to heat up the milk, and they did, but it was barely any hotter after. The view was great though.

While I only had time for a quick tea break, I'm already planning my return for a sunny lunch. 🍵☀️ If you're up for an unexpected adventure and a break from the hustle of the city, give L'escale a try. Plus, the view of Paris is simply stunning! 🏙️

Very nice old-style brasserie, serving mainly local people working in the area rather than tourists. Small seating area but well worth a visit for good food at reasonable (for central Paris) prices. Unexpectedly friendly and helpful staff too.
