After an exciting drive up to the top of the Soutpansberg mountains in the northern part of Limpopo, a hidden valley unfolded in front of us. Green, lush and draped in a mysterious mist. We had landed at Leshiba Wilderness – an eco-lodge beyond our wildest dreams and that does not cut back on creature comforts.
As we are always looking for other places with a green ethos, Leshiba is a true gem. Entering the Venda Art Lodge, we were surrounded by art pieces and sculptures made by the now famous Noria Mabasa. It gives a sense of not only staying at a lodge, but in a living art museum. We were warmly greeted by the lovely staff Luckas, Joyce and the team, manager Lara and owners Kathy and Peter.
The visit included art and more art, stories about medical plants and stories from the past, making this not just a visit with breathtaking views, but also something that only great people can give. People who are truly proud of their land and what they have achieved.
Thanks so much for a fantastic visit at Leshiba Wilderness
