We stayed 2 nights in a river view cottage (BD2V) Accommodation was clean but very cramped- outside kitchen very small and you had to turn fridge in towards wall so monkeys didnt get into it. There were quite a few roaming around looking for an opportunity. The view from these was out to the Letaba river which was lovely to be able to watch animals come to drink. Camp had lots of trees and birds to keep you occupied. The restaurant had lovely views across river and the food was simple but good..

Letaba is one of the most beautiful camps in the park. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the camp itself is well looked after and the view from the restaurant is amazing. The safari tents are such a pleasure to stay in, communal bathrooms and kitchens clean and adequate. Letaba is like a small paradise on the banks of the Letaba River. Amazing roads and hides to explore. Animal and birdlife abundant. The restaurant's food is well prepared and delicious

Letaba Rest Camp offers a true African bush experience, just as South Africans describe it. Situated in the northern part of Kruger, it has a much quieter feel with fewer tourists, especially compared to the busier southern camps.||The accommodation is rustic but clean, perfectly in line with the natural setting. You can easily stock up at the camp shop for a traditional braai (BBQ), or enjoy the restaurant’s terrace, which has a fantastic view over the Letaba River where you can spot a variety of animals while you eat.||The surrounding area is especially rich in elephants, as the region has a high density of trees they love, making it one of the best places in Kruger to observe them up close.||A highlight of our stay was the night game drive with John, a dedicated and highly knowledgeable ranger who made the experience unforgettable.||The only downside is that you really need to book well in advance, as places fill up quickly.||Verdict: A peaceful and authentic Kruger camp with beautiful views, abundant elephants, great wildlife sightings, and a genuine bush atmosphere – highly recommended if you want to escape the crowds.

We were sleeping under leteba tent for 4. Such a nice experience with kids. A lot of birds and squirrels around you when taking breakfast. The restaurant has a beautiful view and you can eat crocodile. 🐊 There is a small but very interesting elephant museum. I recommend. (Free entry).

Camping at Letaba Camp in Kruger National Park was an unforgettable experience! The campsite is beautifully located on the banks of the Letaba River, offering stunning views and frequent sightings of elephants, hippos, and a variety of birdlife right from the camp. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and conveniently laid out. The campsite had plenty of shade from the surrounding trees, and we loved the peaceful, natural atmosphere. There’s something truly special about waking up to the sounds of the bush and enjoying your morning coffee while watching wildlife along the river. Letaba also has a great little shop, restaurant, and an excellent elephant museum that’s well worth a visit. The camp had a calm, laid-back feel—perfect for relaxing after a day of game viewing. It’s an ideal spot for both first-time visitors and seasoned Kruger campers. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Letaba to anyone looking for a scenic and serene camping experience in the heart of the park.

Camped (glamped) overnight in one of the canvas tents and had an absolutely fantastic time. The tent was neat and very clean and had thoughtful power- end table power as well as interior, exterior, and path light switches. Also, an oscillating fan was provided. The patio and braai area were nice touches. The camp was beautiful and the common services were very clean and in good maintenance. I felt very comfortable using the ablutions. Camp shop was wonderfully stocked and had everything needed that wasn't packed The stew at the Tindlovu was excellent and its view over the river was sublime at sundown. Wait times for food was quite high (both at dinner and breakfast, we had finished our drinks well-before food arrived. Aside from the food wait (both meals we were the only immediate customers being served), the only notable downside was being mugged by velvet monkeys. They attacked our snack bag before we were even able to shuffle it into the room.

This is what a trusted friend, currently staying at Letaba wrote, so it’s worthwhile putting it here. It's so therapeutic just sitting and listening to the sounds of the bush. Kudos to the Letaba staff. Reported our electricity faulty - 15 minutes later, the electrician arrived and fixed the problem. She also found a fault in the fan - 10 minutes later, a new fan arrived. Third world service - definitely not!💪🏽

Wonderful spot on the banks of the River. Home to the Elephant Museum, which was very informative, ensuring you learn something new about the world's largest land animal. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and the perfect spot to rest after a day exploring the park. Restaurant provided good food and reception services were friendly, accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back.
