The Best Places to Go in Switzerland This Winter for Skiing, Wildlife, and Wellness | Condé Nast Traveler

"Offering a deeply restorative experience, the Leukerbad Thermal Baths replenish over one million gallons of 51°C water each day and provide pools cooled to a comfortable 28°C–44°C range, making them feel like some of the coziest thermal baths you can find." - Caitlin Morton

Really nice baths, even though it’s a bit crowded, there are many pools so still got a place somewhere. However, strongly recommend to bring flip flops, most of the people come in barefoot, should be no problem. But there are small pebbles in the stairs and hallway. Got my foot bleeding after I accidentally stepped on one. The cleaning team should take more care of it too.

Much remains the secret of nature, but what is known makes Leukerbad absolutely extraordinary. It takes an unbelievable 40 years for the seeping mountain water deep in the Alps to be enriched with valuable minerals, warmed to the perfect temperature of up to 51° Celsius, and transformed into thermal water. Only then does it bubble naturally from the earth and flow into the Leukerbad baths. To step into these waters is to experience true Alpine wellness, a gift of nature that has been patiently prepared for decades. The Leukerbad Therme is the largest thermal bath in the entire Alpine region, and it truly deserves its reputation as an Alpine wellness paradise for young and old. With ten relaxing baths, family-friendly slides, and a modern sauna area offering a wide range of wellness and natural healing options, this place is unforgettable. The backdrop of the Alps, combined with the charm of the beautiful town of Leukerbad, makes the experience even more magical. We stayed from 8 in the morning until 8 at night and enjoyed every moment. The pools are soothing, the atmosphere is rejuvenating, and the spa treatments are exceptional. Be sure to request Nicole for your massage or treatment, as her care and expertise make the day even more special. From bathing in the thermal waters to indulging in the wellness services, the hours simply slipped away in pure relaxation and joy. This is not just a place to visit, it is a place to linger. A single day is wonderful, but a few days are ideal in order to fully enjoy both the Therme and the many beautiful hikes that surround Leukerbad. Between the healing waters, the serenity of the spa, and the natural beauty of the Alps, this is truly a destination like no other. If you are searching for an experience that combines wellness, fun, and breathtaking scenery, the Leukerbad Therme is perfect. It is a place to restore body and spirit, to laugh and relax, and to create memories that will last forever.

Great time. A couple of improvements would be a bigger poolside bar, more showers and a photographer that could take pictures of you and your family for a fee.

We visited Leukerbad Therme today and absolutely loved it! The hot springs and thermal pools were incredibly relaxing — the perfect combination of warm mineral water, bubbling jacuzzis, and soothing hydro-massage zones. We’ve been to other thermal spas before, but this one truly stands out for its unique atmosphere and natural charm. The mineral water felt rejuvenating, and the entire experience was peaceful and refreshing. We had a wonderful time, felt fully relaxed, and truly enjoyed every moment of our visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in the heart of the Swiss Alps!

Worth doing at least once ! I really enjoy the place… you can just swim on top, or slide in the tube with the kids!! Or just relax on the other level, where water is just so great…

We were there in family on the Friday 26 December. Despite quite big area, It was overcrowded, difficult to get a place in the water. Toboggans for kids are cool. Water is at comfortable temperature however a bid aggressive for skin. Shows in the evening were cool. Limiting the number of entrances would definitely improve the overall quality

Visiting Lukerbad Therme this year was an amazing experience. We went in August when the temperature was 18 degrees, and it was a sunny day. The views were breathtaking, and the pools were warm and cosy. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Our 10-year-old also had a fantastic time there!
