On a cold, rainy night, we arrived. Despite not having a reservation, we were whisked to a table and plied with delicious food. I had braised beef cheeks (Noix de joue de bœuf braisée), which were tender and delicious, and served with a skewer of potatoes and dried fruits (sounds odd, tastes good). Dessert was a tarte tatin, full of fruity goodness.
I'm having a hard time remembering what my dining companion ate, but I recall an appetizer involving fresh and flavorful vegetables, formed into a terrine sort of arrangement.
As well as wonderful food, the restaurant offers terrific service. I speak virtually no French, but the waitstaff nevertheless made sure that all of our needs were met and exceeded. This place is everything you hope for from a restaurant: warm, cozy, welcoming... and delicious!
