In town for a few hours and placed this on my list of must sees!!! It is an amazing feast for the eyes. Such beautifully created pieces. I missed seeing them work on the glass but hope to see on a future trip. There are all sorts of options for everyone from jewelry to home decor and custom lighting fixtures. Just amazing to see. It is hot in there so keep in mind during the summer time. Would highly recommend to treat yourself to their beautiful work!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
We made a special trip to Asheville to visit this store and purchase pendant lights, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The store itself was impressive, with the added bonus of on-site glass blowing that made the visit even more unique. The staff was wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and patient in answering all of our questions. We ordered four pendant lights, and the finished products exceeded our expectations. We are absolutely thrilled with our purchase!

Google
An amazing shop! Ann, Jeff and Zack were friendly, kind and informative. The demonstration was interesting and added to this wonderful experience. I highly recommend stopping in to see their artistry. It’s incredible! I purchased a vase and love the color it adds to my home!

Google
I love visiting Lexington Glass! There's usually someone onsite blowing glass, and if you're with a group, they'll do a demo and explain every step of the process. It's fascinating and their pieces are absolutely beautiful!

Google
Amazing glass art, and you get to see the heart being made on the spots. First time I've seen glass blowing and it is mesmerizing. People making the glass to a great job of explaining what they're doing.

Google
Love coming here!! You can see live glass making/blowing and ask questions as they work. The gallery has so many stunning pieces as well!

Colleen DeMars-Eickholt

Google
I am always fascinated by glass blowers, the fact that they take such simple ingredients and turn them into such beautiful art. However, this experience was so special as they answered all your questions and so intimate with hardly any space between you and the artists. We were able to purchase a beautiful souvenir of this special memory. Their inventory was so incredible that just choosing one was a challenge, so we ended up with two!

Susanne Kessler

Google
Beautiful designs! A must visit. The artwork is beautiful. Service was great. Kind and friendly! Parking along street. Handicap accessible.

Yelp
Fascinating place to learn about blowing glass. Stopped in as we were walking by and they stopped and explained what they were doing! Their art is beautiful and recommend going to see what they do!

Yelp
If you're in Asheville and looking for a great place to enjoy craftsmanship and support local businesses who are artists...this is the place. The showroom is so impressive. Anything you think you want to own made of glass that sparks your inner artistic style...they sell it here. They make new items all day long, so you get to experience the artistic process. Enjoy the people. The people here are amazing. You meet people from all walks of life. If you want to commission a custom job, they will accommodate the conversation. Please don't be shocked by the prices. This isn't Amazon...this is a place that does quality work, and they're fighting to stay afloat after the hurricane (they were closed for a month). Everyone working there is amazing. I met one amazing woman (sorry...I can't remember her name) from Argentina who made my wife and I feel super welcome. I can't wait to come back to see what else new they have.

Yelp
Beautiful glasswork, the day we were there they had some crafty activities for kids and they had a great time while I did some shopping, they also carry jewelry from a couple local jewelers, I got a beautiful ring holder and a glass pumpkin and some earrings. I love the glass lights I'll be back for those!

Eric C.

Yelp
Absolute terrible customer service. We asked if there's anything in the $100 range and she said nothing, and then we checked a few labels of things around that range. They don't want our business, and I don't recommend you giving them yours.

Yelp
The guys were very enthusiastic while showing their procedure for glass blowing. Amazing art work, unfortunately I couldn't purchase anything as it was out of my reach. However great for family and kids. Just a recommendation, it was just a little hard to hear when the guys spoke about their process of manufacturing. May be you guys can use a mic and sound system. Would visit again.

Yelp
What a delightful place. The glass pieces were breathtaking and so many to see. Watching them develop a piece right in front of us was so cool and they shared what they were doing as they went along. Seeing a true artist at work. A must see if you are visiting Asheville.
google avatar

Leanne C.

Yelp
Wow. Everything they make is a beautiful. You can watch them blowing glass as you shop. Very cool experience. Noy a place to bring small children unless they are closely watched.
google avatar

Tye R.

Yelp
Great to see artists at work! They sell a variety blown glass items: earrings, vases, light fixtures, decorations, ornaments, etc. For hand crafted work, specifically glass blown, the prices are beyond reasonable. They offer gift wrapping and shipping. We

Yelp
A great place to visit if you're looking for beautifully made glass. The walls and shelves are full of colorful beautifully designed pieces of glass all of which are for sale. You can even customize a piece to your color liking. If you have time on your hands have a seat and watch the creative ladies and gentlemen busy at work. This is a great gem for art lovers. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Never thought I'd be reviewing a glassworks. I thought I'd be cool and be reviewing bars, hotels, great places to eat. But I've reached the age when hand blown works of art made from glass make me giddy. I do believe that all works are made in house, if not then they know the artists that create the works. The light pieces were stunning, but we don't have a house let, so we passed on them. The decanters and wine, whiskey glasses we do have a need for, and we are somewhat expects in the consumption of said alcohol. We saw a oil infused wine decanter and glass set. It is the wife's birthday coming up (she's difficult to buy for) and so a purchase was made. Very helpful and we're willing to hold the pieces until we could pick them up two days later. Only negative was that on pick up we expected them to be pre wrapped. They weren't! But that didn't take long. When we are back in town (we have to go back as the food etc was perfect in Asheville) We'll look around again.

Yelp
What a cool idea to have a glass gallery with a bar Inside!!! There are lots of cool and unique pieces to see. Some of the various items include: jewelry, light fixtures, vases/dishes, home decor... There are also live demos of how the glass is molded, which is a very tedious and Intriguing process. I loved the layout/style of the gallery, that it is basically a renovated garage. The front is completely open to the outdoors. A lot of items cost within the 4-figure range, so definitely could not afford much more from here than maybe a pair of earrings! Staff was kind and helpful, greeting each patron and offering assistance as needed. Affordability aside, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Situated in downtown Asheville off S. Lexington is a beautiful working glass art studio. Artists are on hand to answer questions and demonstrate techniques. They are very accessible and obviously having fun. While we were there we watched a glass flower take shape and it was fascinating! From beautiful vases, jewelry and custom light fixtures you will definitely find something to be impressed with. When you walk up they spray your hands with sanitizer, enforce social distancing and the entrance and exit are in separate areas. Normally they would have the bar in the back open with local beer served in hand blown glasses but due to Covid-19 they have temporarily shut that part down. Definitely worth a stroll on over to see what the local artists are up to!

Yelp
While waiting for dinner reservations we walked over and were so excited with this glass making gallery! Colorful, bright, and stunning glass art everywhere. There were bowls, vases, ornaments, light fixtures, jewelry and more amazing art pieces for sale. There's also a bar in the back to enjoy a drink as you shop. Be so careful, this beautiful art is quite expensive! Probably not a good place for crazy kids. There were 3 men working with the glass which was incredible to see. There's a long information sheet you can read while watching to learn awesome details about the work they're doing. In the winter the heat from the furnace is so nice, maybe not so much in the summer!
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
We are considering having my son's rehearsal dinner here. It's a lovely space with all the blown glass all around. The ovens are right there and I think they would be doing some demos for us. We would have to bring in tables and catering. They have beer on tap that we could utilize. Jury is still out as to whether we will use this space. With a May event the space may heat up quite a bit with the furnaces onsite. The glass is beautiful and somewhat expensive.

Cole D.

Yelp
Lexington Glassworks is the first thing that comes to mind when people ask me what to see in Asheville. The location and building are great, the people and glass art are even better. We've purchased several vases and a custom lighting fixture for our dining room.

Yelp
Pricey, but not any more pricey than a large commercial glassblowing workshop anywhere else in the world. Beautiful designs, beautiful space, and got to speak with one of the founders! Great experience watching them fire up their pieces - beautiful instagram page, beautiful people, great experience!
google avatar

Carolyn R.

Yelp
Beautiful glass from floor to ceiling everywhere you turn! And the demonstrations are amazing. Such a wonderful thing to have in Asheville.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Lexington Glassworks is a cool place to visit. It it is more exciting to visit while they are blowing glass but I have been before to just browse and shop the showroom. During the demonstration I was told what they were doing at each step. It is truly buying local when you see the product being made. The showroom is so colorful with all the work on display. It is a gallery and a shop in one.
google avatar

Boon C.

Yelp
It is free attraction at Asheville. The glass bowl and vase display are beautiful. Since this is an active making studio, there is a demonstration and actual glass work are ongoing. Visitor can view the glass making process. It is very educational when they explain the process. The studio has very high heat burner that melt the glass. The glass be added into clear and color glass and melt outwardly. The blow technique is required to make the hollow in the vase. Other than the show of how to blow the glass, they also can order glass of beer while you enjoy the glass making. There are several different tap with your choice.

Yelp
This place is located about 4 - 5 blocks from the heart of downtown. It is an easy walk. There seemed to be some street parking available nearby, and there is probably more beyond it (away from downtown). The facility has an open showroom up front with a lot of pieces for sale. Towards the back is a small bar that appeared to offer 3 - 4 beers on tap. To the right side is the working area, separated by a short barrier. There are a few tables and chairs for patrons to sit and watch. A couple of guys were doing an ongoing glass project and offering running commentary on the techniques involved. It was interesting, but most of the pieces were a bit expensive (to me). I'd probably be more interested in taking a class than watching this for a long period of time. It did seem to be a popular place for tourists to stop by and linger, though.

Yelp
Drink, watch & listen while art is made, or browse glass for sale (& metal/glass jewelry)--bowls, vases, drink ware, lighting fixtures, chihuly-like platters & sculptures, plus collectibles like pumpkins, etc. Beautiful stuff. Nice open warehouse vibe. Reasonable priced beer & nice bar/bartender. Love how they talk it out while creating, demo of glass skills.
google avatar

Yelp
A working glassworks in the Arts District, performing live demonstrations as they walk you through the process of creating one-of-kind, beautiful pieces. They have everything on display and for sale (please don't touch unless purchasing!), and the staff are eager to help and answer questions. They offer everything from ornamental pieces to whiskey glasses and earrings, and they do a fine job of wrapping and boxing your purchases to prevent breakage. I highly recommend this place if you are in Asheville.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
Super cool glass artwork all around! It's a bit pricey, but you're buying a one of a kind! There's various pieces, from glass earrings to center pieces. Located on the main strip in Asheville. Definitely a place to stop by just to view the art work and possibly take a piece of Asheville with you Home. Super friendly staff and artfully decorated.
google avatar

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
This place is super cute! We stopped by while we were exploring downtown Asheville and I loved all of the glass pieces. There is also a glass blowing demonstration that we got to observe. Overall we only spent half an hour here so I don't have much to write. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Yelp
This was one of our highlights on our most recent trip to Asheville. The owners of LGW could not of been more pleasant and interesting as they go through the nuances of glass blowing. A highlight is certainly the glass blowing demonstration, but it gets crowded so take a seat early for a good view, then when the crowds disperse you can talk to the owners. Take a moment to peruse their unusual glass displays and maybe buy some one of a kind art. Before I close out, here is a scavenger hunt for you: 1) Can you find the glass blown into the shape of a heart (complete with veins)? 2) Can you find the glass blown into the shape of a boiled peanut? 3) Can you find the glass tubes they use for each glass they blow? 4) Can you name the two countries where they obtain their glass? 5) Can you explain why you cannot take samples of the glass they cut or snip from the glass that falls to the floor? Enjoy!

Yelp
From their FAQ: "Children must be accompanied by a credit card at all times." Haha! Lexington Glassworks was a really awesome place: part gallery, part artist studio, part beer bar. There were many beautiful and detailed works of art but prices weren't inexpensive, so tread carefully and don't knock anything over! Some of the pieces available for sale included vases, ornaments, light fixtures, paperweights, glasses, terrariums, and jewelry (not made there but cool nevertheless). Glassblowing owners Geoff and Billy were down to earth and graciously answered questions from the audience as they worked their glass magic. I left with a few cool gifts and also with a little something for myself. There is no parking lot, so look on nearby streets. No glassblowing on Tuesdays.

Yelp
So interesting. I'm sure this place is mobbed at certain times of the year, but we had no one else here on the day we went. They were making a round globe for a light fixture. Fascinating to watch. Friendly staff, at times overly helpful, but overall good. Kids were actually mildly entertained by the glass blowing. We went home with a beautiful piece. They do not take American Express... which was kind of a downer, especially spending so much.

Yelp
I love to visit each time I visit Asheville. The pieces are colorful, unique, and beautiful. I look forward to each visit. The staff are engaging, friendly and I love hearing their stories and education about specific pieces.

Yelp
Gallery and workshop under the same roof, an cool place to visit at Asheville. The place is big and open and free to look around. There were 2 artists demonstrating the glass blowing and they explained to guests the process. The glass pieces displayed there were very beautiful. The pricing was reasonable for the good quality work. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing. This art studio is difinitly worth stopping by.

Manny M.

Yelp
Beautiful work, great location and impeccable service! How refreshing! Bought lighting for my home and everyone loves it. Worth stopping by even if just to the great work!

Regina S.

Yelp
Great place for beautiful handmade glass. I purchased 4 highball glasses and love them and their uniqueness. I'll be back.$$$$

Yelp
I had some time to kill in Asheville and saw this listed as an attraction. Being close to several breweries, it was an easy stop over, and I am glad I did! The products they make are beautiful and worth the trip, but watching them blow glass is the really cool thing about this place. Great place for gifts or just to spend a few minutes in air conditioning while walking around!
google avatar

Kendall K.

Yelp
What a great experience! My husband and I loved watching the glassblowers craft a beautiful piece of artwork. We fell in love with the piece so quickly that we bought it before it was even finished. We will go back in two days to pick up the final product. The staff are helpful and friendly; very informative without being overbearing. I certainly enjoyed our little adventure to this great space.

Tara P.

Yelp
Beautiful hand blown glass and you get to watch them in action. Be sure to walk up Lexington ave after for lots of great shopping and food.

Yelp
This is a cool little place to go hang out. It's free admission which I find awesome! They serve beer, I think they have 4 on tap and most are local to the area. It includes a bar top. We enjoyed watching the glass blowers work. You have full view of what they are doing. The entire staff is absolutely delightful from the bartender to the glassblowers and cashiers. We had had great conversation with the bartender, glass workers were happy to answer questions and the cashier had a bubbly attitude and was very helpful. There is good size gallery displaying their wonderful creations. Overall a WONDERFUL experience!

Rick P.

Yelp
While the glass work is really nice, don't take a chance at the bar. The bartender serves flat bitter beer and then tells you "that's just the way that beer tastes." Hogwash!! My wife had another beer that tasted fine. A reputable place would not serve a flat bitter beer and try to pawn it off on you - whether it was supposed to "taste that way" or not. On principle I would never buy any glasswork here and I told the 6 people I was with not to buy anything either. It would have cost them 50 cents ( which I would have gladly tipped more to have a tasty beer, instead of flat crap. Hope this review is what you wanted...

Liz B.

Yelp
It's very important to know that there's a bar inside the glass studio. It's just there inside the studio! A friend and I popped in to look at the glass and watch them work while the boys continued on to a bar. But we totally could have convinced the boys to come with us if we knew there was a bar inside. :) Next time I'm in Asheville, I'd love to just grab a beer and watch the artists work for a while. There's something hypnotic about it. It's the perfect place to stop if it's raining out and the brewery bars are packed.

Rob E.

Yelp
Awesome shop to visit as it is so cool to see the items being made! I ordered numerous ornaments and glasses from them as gifts which they mailed. All recipients were thrilled with their gifts and none were damaged. Keep up the great work!
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
OK, this is something you don't get to see every day. .. Super cool glass making demonstration and art gallery. Guys created an amazing platter from a blob of molten glass right before our eyes. Stuff in the shop was really cool, a little pricey but when you think about custom glass are, worth it. I recommend stopping in and seeing this place. Enjoy!
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
Real artistry. We watched the craftsman at work and they educated us at the same time. Bought some great pieces.
google avatar

Mimi S.

Yelp
We pick up a piece from their gallery every time we're in town. Good people, fantastic work.

Danielle P.

Yelp
I loved the pieces that they make. I picked out a beautiful decanter and stopper. We paid for it, and left the pieces for them to wrap. I picked it up the next day, and they offered to let me check to make sure they got it right. Naively, I assumed that it was correct. Sadly, I unwrapped the pieces when I got home, and the stopper wasn't right. We had to pay to ship it back and exchange it for the correct color. They sent another wrong color! I wish I had checked it because now I feel like I overpaid and can't stand to look at the piece. So, this review isn't meant to cast doubt on the quality of the pieces. Only to caution people to examine anything you have wrapped to take home carefully since it might not be correct and then you'll have to pay again to get it get another wrong piece!
google avatar

Kory L.

Yelp
This is the coolest glass shop we went to. We went in the evening and the gentlemen at the furnaces were doing demonstrations. The artists doing the demonstrations were highly skilled and put on a very informative demonstration. The artists there do beautiful work, a little out of my price range but very cool.
google avatar

Ally H.

Yelp
The glass is expensive, but the way this place allows you to watch as the staff creates the art is really cool. The staff also does a good job of explaining to you what they are doing as they are doing it, which is helpful. The FAQ sheet is also helpful. I definitely recommend visiting this place! Don't come looking for classes though.
google avatar

Nana F.

Yelp
Very very expensive glassworks. Had a better time at the glassworks at stone mountain park in Atlanta. The place needs to decide who its clientele really is - millennial who rent and who want to drink beer while someone make things out of glass or people who want to buy glassworks for this home.
google avatar

Jasmine H.

Yelp
This place is awesome - the artists started blowing a platter when we got there, a team of three working together was great to see! They walked everyone through the process step by step and were very informative! Very talented place!
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
Loved watching the artists at work. Beautiful pieces on display. Globes for lights are spectacular. Well worth dropping in!

Rosalie C.

Yelp
Absolutely cool place. Great that you can talk directly to the owners/artisans and ask questions. They have pieces starting in the $20 range (beautiful ornaments), and the staff are knowledgeable about the pieces and techniques used to make them.

Yelp
Much like other glass shops in the area, Lexington has a beautiful array of blown art glass. A nice selection is on display. These feel like creations you could live with for a long time - high quality, aesthetically pleasing pieces. What sets LG apart is its hung, table and floor lamps and lighting fixtures. Through a partnership with a forge in VT, the LG team pairs these artistic iron fixtures with custom, blown glass "shades". The customer service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Just a few blocks from the Main Street downtown.
