We’re visiting from the US, customs was nice and organized. The airport is well maintained with air conditioning. Things to know if your are traveling from the US, you can complete your immigration from prior to arrival, I actually did it the night before. The airport staff was very helpful. Taxis are lined up outside ready to take you where you need. On our return we did customs there so when we arrived to the US we didn’t need to. The airport food is okay, easy to get in and out of. Only warning is that the ticket agent is also the gate agent, so if you need to check a bag or need to checkin at the desk you have to arrive the 2 hrs early, once they go to the gates no one will be there to check you in.

Wow, talk about outrageous prices. $15.00 dollars for a bagel. The duty free stores have prices which will knock you off your feet. Food options are few and again the prices are much higher than at the resort. Easy security check in and customs was a breeze. Restrooms were clean. Seating in terminal was plentiful.

There is no restaurant in the International section of the airport. There is a pub and grill on the main level before passing through security and this is the only thing available during the daytime hours. Someone should make this known to International travellers. Apparently, there is a cafe? that opens from 6:30 pm until closing, and has been said to open for flights to Great Britian. So Canadian travellers are left with nothing, no potential meals, coffee, drinks, etc. You can choose from junk food, that's all that is available. However, there is one restaurant on the segmented US side with daytime hours. Remember this area is segmented to maintain their 'sterile' environment. So how does this make a traveller feel? Fairness to all is a better policy. C'mon Bermuda join the rest of the world.

The Bermuda Islands' air gateway is L.F. Wade International Airport, which has a modern terminal with flights from the US mainland, Europe, and other locations. The airport is characterized by calm conditions at times, but can also have strong winds and turbulence at times. Leonard Frederick (L.F) Wade (28 June 1939 – 13 August 1996) was a prominent Bermudian politician. He served as leader of the opposition Progressive Labour Party (PLP) for 11 years, from 1976 to 1987.

The airport is quite when you're on the BA flight. It's very nice, clean and has a very quick and efficient security. However, the only downside is the lounge is very busy, but the food is good, and it looks premium.

This is a small island, and this is a small airport. Easy in and easy out. The staff is nice, as are most people in Bermuda. The airport gets busy, but there aren’t many terminals here. The airport is on the far end of the island and unless you are a local, you can’t rent a car. You can get a Twizy, though! Only airport on the island, so no choice if you want to visit.

The entire stay was wonderful until our departure. I purposefully drank the entire bottle of water before the check in. However, the staff searched both my back pack and the suitcase. When I asked what the trigger was she said my back pack was random and the suitcase was stopped because my bra looked like sand so they stopped both items for search. It was extremely unpleasant as she was waving my bra in the middle of airport to her supervisor who was not even looking at it. Unbelievably rude and inappropriate behaviour. Her supervisor who flagged both of my bags was not even interested in checking what it was when presented by the staff. The supervisor just kept looking away. Clearly a sign of poorly working system. Does the staff even get proper training on how to handle items of personal care? Or they can act racist whenever they please? I’m a white Caucasian woman and all the staff were African American who didn’t even have a solid reason for flagging both of my bags.
