Hanging out in Montreal on business and it's dinner time. The weather is nice out so we chose to walk to this spot and check it out after I had done some Yelp research!
Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is super chill and set in downtown, but in more of the trendy, neighborhood district away from all the giant skyscrapers. It's all small restaurants, shops, brick streets and apartments around this way. There's no private parking lot, so good luck finding space on the street. The outside looks very modern with matte steel finishings among the brick exterior of the building. Inside looks just as modern, but with a retro twist. There's also outdoor seating if you'd like to dine outdoors as well.
Service: We sat at the bar and our bartender was helpful, sweet, attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed.
Food: I started off with their Jalapeno Poppers which are fried breaded jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese served with Sriracha mayonnaise. These were fairly decent and I enjoyed them as the start to a good meal.
For my entree I decided on the Philly Sandwich which is steak, caramalized onions, roasted red peppers, sauteed mushrooms with melted cheese. It was delightful, but felt a little on the small side. Of course it comes with fries or some other side, but I opted for the side salad to try keeping things a little healthier.
Value: Pretty standard, tavern-like pricing that won't break the bank and you won't be eating McDonald's cheap either. Right in the middle.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this place and I'd consider revisiting to try out some other things on the menu.
