The suite was exceptional, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. I slept extremely well and particularly enjoyed the bathtub. The in-room humidifier was a thoughtful addition, and while I did not need the oxygen machine, it was a nice touch. The upgrade to the suite was greatly appreciated. The hotel also surprised me with a delicious chocolate mousse cake and a fresh fruit basket, both of which were excellent.
The property is very conveniently located, and the views of the palace at night are phenomenal. The price is excellent, offering strong value for the experience.
Breakfast was generally very good, especially the buffet, which offered a wide selection and high-quality dishes. However, there were a few service issues. When we requested tea from our butler, it took an hour to arrive, and what we received were packets already available in the room. At most St. Regis properties, tea is served in a pot, which would have been preferable. Additionally, when we ordered from the à la carte menu at breakfast, it took an hour for the items to arrive, though the buffet remained outstanding.
We were not offered lounge access, but we did enjoy a drink at the bar. The service was good, though it would have been customary to provide light snacks such as chips or peanuts with the drinks. We would have loved to experience the champagne sabering ritual, but it is only offered on Fridays.
The room temperature tends to run warm, so turning off the AC occasionally is advisable. My minibar fridge was not working initially, but the staff resolved the issue promptly. The availability of HBO and CNN is a plus for English-speaking guests. As a Lifetime Titanium Elite member, I truly appreciated the suite upgrade.
A few enhancements could elevate this to a five-star stay: offering three pieces of complimentary laundry per day, including a personalized welcome note from the General Manager alongside the fruit basket, and ensuring tea service meets the brand’s usual standards.
