Before I start my journey from Hong Kong to Chiang Mai, I read a lot of information about each hotel, guesthouse, or airbnb because I am a picky guy and hate with noise. After I read through all the comments from other guests, I eventually took up this place.
As I arrived at the guesthouse, I found I had chosen the best guesthouse here as it was situated in an extremely quiet place, almost without any traffic noise. One of the owner's Marcel had warm greetings and checked in very efficiently. He also took the initiative to show me my room and all the facilities in my room (this was the personal services, 6 stars hotel even Peninsular Hotel would not give you, right).
The room was extremely large, clean with a sunny balcony where I could see the birds singing, also it was good for laundry. After checking in, I walked around the whole guesthouse, I found that there was a swimming pool, fish pond, and another two rooms building with a small restaurant underneath. As I worked for the property management field, I checked all the areas and found that they were well maintained, very relaxed, and with good landscape. Other staff, like Mae and Jam, were extremely friendly, and they treated me just like family members.
My room charges included the breakfast. At first, I didn't expect too much on the guesthouse's breakfast. But after I tried that, I understood I was totally wrong. Though the breakfast portion was not too large, they had different varieties and made me so happy (all you can eat). The location of the restaurant was so relaxed as it was next to the swimming pool with sunshine tables. I took the fresh juice, banana pancake, bread with different tastes of jam, fresh fruits, beacon, and fried eggs. That's what I need - simple and healthy. In fact, I don't need too much for my breakfast, say steak and sausage. Another selling point of this guesthouse was the swimming pool. You could totally relax and just lying there for the whole afternoon. Also, Marcel was too generous to borrow his mountain bike for me so that I could ride everywhere. That was my experience there. Definitely, i will come back if i visit Chiang Mai again. If you are looking for a quiet, afforable place to relax, please opt for this guesthouse.
