Liana Lodge

What a neat place! We were greeted by a troop of spider monkeys swinging by.|It is not easy to reach this resort but it was worth it. Our group enjoyed beautiful ambience and the food and service were outstanding. The bar was a very popular spot. The views of the river added to the atmosphere, as did the lovely sunsets. Bugs were not at all bad, but it was humid.|The cabins had no electricity but that was part of the fun. |We went on a guided night hike to experience the jungle in the dark. Fun.|All in all, a great place to taste the Amazon jungle.

The perfect place to relax and discover the Amazon. Incredibly well-designed and spacious, with refined yet homely cuisine, and wonderful boat excursions available. An extremely professional and welcoming staff. Excellent—truly a unique experience.

This was a great lodge to stay at that really gives you the full experience of the Amazon. I stayed here via my tour with Intrepid. Please note the lodge can only be accessed by boat, and there is not power in the rooms. You need to use the candles provided by the lodge and your own flashlight. The meals were delicious and they also have a bar. For activities you can take guide lead hike, swim in river or just relax and watch the animals. I love sleeping to the sound of the rain. Highly recommend and love that you’re supporting a good cause when you stay!

Nice place, clean friendly, connected to AmaZOOnico animal rescue center. You need to get there on your own to Tena, and 45-60 taxi drive of 15$

We spent 4 night here, leaving on Christmas morning. Comfortable cabins with hot water showers, and ours had electric for charging and lights, although I heard some people saying they had candles and used charging points provided in the office.|In the three full days we did six of the activities included, and enjoyed every one of them, even the Mirador hike in torrential rain. There are boots provided, and I'm glad we took advantage of them!|The raft building & riding it back to the lodge was fun, and on a tubing trip we saw lots of wildlife including Otter, Spider and Squirrel monkeys, Scarlet Macaw, Aracari, Kingfisher and Capuchin.|We had the same guide for all of the activities, and can recommend Ivan if he is available.|On Christmas eve, there was a dinner for local volunteers. Being the only paying guests there, they set up a candlelit table for us where we spent a lovely romantic evening with great food. Nothing was too much trouble.

Great place to explore the beginning of the Amazon rainforest. Reached via a motorised canoe, the lodge is an eco lodge so no frills.... there are only a couple of rooms with electricity the others have candles. There's charging points in the social communal area.||The lodge is on a hill so big luggage is not a good idea... |Rooms were comfortable with a small balcony and hammock. There is hot water for showers. At night the jungle sounds lull you to sleep. Bliss.||The food was absolutely amazing- wow!||There are a few activities to do- visit AmaZOOnica, night or day walks etc|Great place to relax and enjoy

Food was incredible. Sentry and wildlife very engaging and beautiful, lots and lots of wildlife including monkeys and birds. Very accommodating with being able to get canoes to and from places. Things to improve is that the washing should be slightly better we often found the stuff we washed dirtier than we gave in and the showers to be warmer.

Rustic, clean and comfortable. Arrive by boat. WiFi and electricity in main hall only. Candlelight at night. Excellent Cooking. Helpful staff. Quiet. Just you and the the music of the jungle. Took a long hike through the jungle with informative guides. Ate ants that taste like a lemon. The Liana lodge left a nice impression on me.
