Stayed here as a couple for four nights. Our room (#3) was very spacious and bright, located at the corner of the building, so we had three windows, plus one on the bathroom. The room has a walk in closet, with a mini bar equipped with espresso machine, electric kettle, mini fridge and sink, all very welcome and convenient. Bed sheets and towels are good quality and we were satisfied with cleanliness. The building is located on a relatively busy canal so boats passing by can be heard at all times of day and night. Curtains are not very efficient blocking light so if you need total darkness to sleep, bring your sleep mask. Breakfast must be ordered the night before, via a form hung outside the room, and it is brought either to the room or to the courtyard below at the requested time. It is basic breakfast fare (bread, butter, fruit, cereal, yogurt, fruit, OJ, hot beverages) and two options of eggs, boiled or scrambled. The location is perfect: close enough to St. Mark's Square, but far enough from the hordes of tourists permanently commuting between St. Mark and Rialto. Also, it's conveniently close to the Arsenale vaporetto stop, which is much less busy than San Zaccaria and San Marco ones. A few cons are: the shower floods the bathroom floor. We had to put rolled towels on the floor agains the glass of the shower enclosure, to avoid the bathroom becoming a swamp after the first bather. Important to mention that the shower is excellent, with abundant hot water and a large rainfall style shower head. The shower enclosure also works as a steam room, but we never used it as such. Also important to mention that the ground floor of the building is home of a couple of restaurants, so when they are open, the reception area has a strong smell of food. You can actually see the cooks working, from the entrance courtyard. In fairness, we could not smell any food inside our room. Big highlight of our stay here was the service and support given by Franco. Such a nice gentleman, so helpful and always available with the best Italian disposition. Despite the few minor issues (nothing is perfect) we would definitely stay here again.

Amazing and beautiful hotel in Venice. It was a bit of a walk to everything but so worth it. The room was so spacious with a sauna. I wish the air conditioning was a little stronger but other than that it was great. Franco (I think that was his name) went above and beyond. He was so helpful and friendly. Absolutely recommend!

Good service and caring staff. They made sure our travel arrangements to the airport were properly scheduled to help avoid issues caused by local transport union protests.

We were compelled to write a review after the first of 2 night stay in Jun 25 to celebrate my wife’s birthday in lassidi wellness hotel , 5 mins walk from san Marco Without a doubt our stay is was made exceptional by Gian our Hotel manager who marvellously took care of us from introducing us to the room to delicious breakfast Beautiful large Venetian room with hamam facilities , champagne to celebrate wife’s birthday and a special homemade breakfast try the omelette with ‘real’ eggs All in all special mention to Gian once again for a wonderful stay and my wife fully agrees Jun 25 Btw. Do yourself a favor and watch the Venetian Vivaldi concert at san Vidal church brilliant concert Dinner at san trovaso seafood delectable n fresh Such a pleasure esp. visiting from zurich where prawns tend to be plastic like Tonight dinner at posta vecchia Fingers crossed should also be a great experience Enjoy returning to breakfast Cheers

As soon as we walked into the property the courtyard entrance is charming the Jasmine flower aroma was so inviting and it really set the tone for our holiday. Moreover Oliver and team was exceptional from the very start to the end of our stay, being a local he knew all the tips and tricks about Venice there were great food recommendations and was so attentive and helpful at any request we had and was able to accommodate with excellent communication and superb hospitality. The room was splendid, clean and relaxing. We were delighted to check in early as we arrived early and they could accommodate us, I did let them know in advance the estimated time we would be arriving. We loved having breakfast served in our room. Castello is a great location away from the touristy area, more local, quiet and felt like an authentic Venice experience but not too far from the main attractions like the Grand Canal and St Marks square, also the ferry service is not too far at all. We were sad to leave as our suite and stay was exceptional I would highly recommend staying here as the staff are so warm, friendly, welcoming and look after you like their family.

This was one of the best stays we had while in Europe. Oliver took really good care of us while we were there and was so accommodating to our needs. He was happy to help us with everything and anything and was so friendly. There was such a wide variety for breakfast and my phone wasn’t working to choose the preferences so Oliver personally came to our room and noted everything down the night before. ||The Turkish bath was also a really nice way to relax after a long day and we really couldn’t fault anything. The whole experience made us fall in love with the city even more and we’ll definitely be booking another stay here if we’re ever back in Venice.
