🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎 Forgot five stars; this place gets five apples! 🍏✨ What a fun place to go with family or friends. No kids needed to enjoy this place! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 My husband and I drove up on a Saturday afternoon. We started with lunch at our favorite food truck, Meet on the Street, and some delicious adult ciders. 🍻 Because it’s fall, y’all—why not! 🍂🍁 Next, this well-run operation had golf carts to drive you to the field. 🚜 We enjoyed apple 🍏 and blueberry picking. They were the best blueberries we’ve ever hand-picked! 🫐💙 We will definitely return next year for some of their other fruit options. On the way out, we picked up a few cider donuts. 🍩 Enjoy them right away when they’re hot! They will melt in your mouth. 😋 **Travel note:** 📱 You'll lose cell service, so plan your journey before you leave. Follow the travel tips on Libby's website. Your phone might lie to you! 🗺️🚗

I've missed Blueberry season last few years returning home to visit family, so when I saw Libby's was still open, we had to go. We got 10 lbs blueberries and 2 bags apples for a little over $100. But it was worth it because you can't find the flavor anywhere else across the states. My BFF and I had an amazing time and experience to last a lifetime. Clean place, friendly staff, and beautiful scenery.

Google
Beautiful farm and beautiful fruit. The only downfall I would say would be how everything is priced because it would be difficult for a big family to come and enjoy themselves because pricing is based on how many people are in your group. Other then the way it's priced I would have given a 5 star because it is a nice orchard.

As new residents of Buxton, ME we took advantage of a day of R&R and made the trip to Libby & Son’s where we found a lively celebration of the apple season with live entertainment, fresh picked and self picked apples and blueberries along with confections, jams and jellies! A bit on the pricey side but we had a great time!

My 87 year old Dad is out here from AZ. We had a great relaxing time picking 2 bags of peaches. His favorite part was laying down after picking and enjoy the relaxing beautiful afternoon in the comfy grass❤️😁.

We had an amazing experience! Friendly staff, great band, food & beverages, Libby & Sons have it on point! The blueberries are SO delicious and so many beautiful, tasty apples. We can't wait to go back in the spring/summer for pears and raspberries. We created nice memories...thank you.

It is one of the best places to pick up fruits in Maine and to spend time with friends and family. The music adds to the charm of the farm.

Google
I’ll preface this by saying we were three grown men who decided to go blueberry picking while visiting Maine (because you can’t do that in Missouri)….and we had a great time. It was beautiful being out into he blueberry and raspberry fields. The staff was super nice. There was live music (but the beer truck wasn’t open). The fresh smoothies were delicious…as were the berries! Well worth the drive from Portland.

Yelp
Wonderful fall drive to Limerick to Libbys farm for fall festivities. They had a live band playing, ballon artist for kids, food trucks and yummy beverage truck with beers, seltzers, mimosas and amazing apple cider wine slushies. Inside they sell the traditional apple farm goodies- caramel apples, popcorn, fruit flavored smoothies, coffees, apple cider slushies (which i had previously only had at cold hollow cider in Vermont), lots of donut flavors including the traditional apple cider but blueberry, pumpkin, chocolate, strawberry/blueberry swirl AND option to add glaze or cinnamon sugar to them and some flavors you could add cream cheese frosting. Mega yum. 1/2 dozen was $8.99 or $2.49 each. They also have cider to bring home and some maple farm goodies. Lots of outdoor seating available, some covered. Parking is free and an overflow lot exists (short walk) or golf cart shuttle available. There are golf cart vehicles that can carry you to the area you want to pick whether apples or blueberries in fall. You can walk as well. They give you the scoop on the varieties, what's running low, and what a few unmarked ones are. I loved that the apple trees were pruned lower and compact so easy to pick. They had a stool if you needed, but we didnt need. We got the smallest bag to fill up 1/2 peck around 5 lbs they said ($15) ours weighed 6 lbs at home. I counted 19 apples...we tried to get a little smaller not mega huge. Not a bad deal. The fall foliage was stunning, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Dogs are not allowed on the premises.

Yelp
You want apples. And cider. Maybe some donuts. And a family-friendly space. Or maybe you want blueberries. And a mimosa. Maybe some peaches. And an orchard big enough that you won't be on top of other families. Regardless of what you're looking for, Libby & Sons - year after year named ONE OF THE BEST ORCHARDS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY (literally, friends) - has everything you could want from a PYO experience. The corts and macs are always crisp and delicious; the blueberry options are lovely whether you want sweet or tart; the juicy donut peaches are unlike anything I've ever had anywhere (#TeamTangO)... in general, the picking is abundant and plentiful year after year after year. And they do a fantastic job daily updating their website with what's in season, out of season, picked out for the season, pricing structure (it makes sense if you know how hard they tried to stay open during the pandemic/the cost of growing quality and environmentally conscious fruits), etc. The views of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking. The glazed blueberry donuts are the best blueberry donuts I've ever had from anywhere ever. And the people who work here are absolutely the friendliest human beings on earth and genuinely remember you year after year. They make you feel like a welcome part of their family, and I love that (especially in a more automated, less personalized society). If you ever get the chance to talk to the owner about the science of apples (pomology) or the history and future of their personal agricultural story, you absolutely should. I am a more educated, more loyal customer of theirs now because of it!

Yelp
Pumpkin patch, apple and blueberry orchards, heavenly donuts, smoothies, and fall goodies. Not to mention: a personal shuttle to each part of the U-Pick. Food trucks, live music, all against the backdrop of the beautiful mountains. Couldn't have asked for a better fall day :)

Tiff W.

Yelp
The staff are very nice and accommodating. There is a parking lot out front and different areas with covered seating, which is nice on a hot day. There is a lot to do (and eat) here! They had donuts, slushies, and food trucks serving empanadas, burgers, and hot dogs. You can get ballon animals, play corn hole, have fun with giant Jenga, or make huge bubbles in their lawn game area. Make sure to bring your wallet as there is so much to do and but that you can skip picking and still have a good time like we did.

Yelp
After our plans for yesterday were derailed by snow we decided to give this spot a try and am so glad I did. I heard it gets really busy on the weekends so we went up on a Friday afternoon and there were some people but very manageable. The pricing structure is a little wonky (you have to pay just to get into the orchard?) but the orchard is so big we barely saw anybody. We got some apples and blueberries and I am ADDICTED They are so good! We also spent some time munching on some donuts (tasty and they do them all day so you dont have to worry about it) and sipping on their frozen carmel apple wine slushies which were DELICIOUS. A highlight for sure. The workers here know their fruit and it was fun talking to them and having them explain seasons and types etc. Overall an enjoyable day!

Rose M.

Yelp
Sweater weather is here so go ahead and head on over to this orchard. Live music on the weekends with some awesome food choices. Rustic pizza was on site and also a tent with smash burgers and hot dogs. The pizza was wood fired and delicious. On small side and very thin so if you're hungry then 1 pizza not shareable. We shared buffalo chicken pizza and mushroom with caramelized onions. Beers on tap, wine, and mimosas. The donuts were soft and very flavorful. You could pick blueberries or apples this weekend. The blueberries are huge! Apples galore with so many choices. Wonderful golf carts to take you to different parts of the orchard. Plenty of picnic tables to sit and relax. I think all they are missing is a fire pit. I did see cornhole. I plan on returning every year. We had such a wonderful time!

Sonja B.

Yelp
The best experience ever! My husband and I found it to be relaxing... Picking was convenient and fruitful. Music was great. Food was great. Family friendly

Pieto J.

Yelp
If you look at all the positive reviews they are from a year ago. What the heck is this entry fee about. Been coming here for years not just to leaf peep but get my apples for fall baking. Now each person has to pay to be in the orchard?? How exactly is this justified? And part of the beauty of picking season is to just go out and walk with friends and family enjoying nature. Unless you have deep pockets save the trip. Plenty of other orchard still true to Maine as season..and yes they make money doing it the right way.

Frank B.

Yelp
Maine has hundreds of pick your own apple places. Most are casual places to visit where you wonder through the orchards with a bag or box, pick your apples, take your pictures, go to the weigh station and pay for your apples and maybe get a fresh made donut and some cider and some cheddar for a snack. Libby & Son takes the experience to "theme park" level. You have to purchase the bags/boxes before you enter, and if you don't want enough apples to justify the size of your group, you purchase $5 guest passes to allow your family to enter. Once you are in there is music (free), food (to buy), and shuttles to take you to the apples. One highlight, they also have late blueberries and raspberries which were a real treat although not as flavorful as the spring varieties. They also have the required donuts and cider. Overall we had a nice visit, but spent more money than we would have at the more casual orchards.

Sonja M.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our first time visit to pick peaches and plums! To best describe our experience...it was magical and very relaxing ... great food....great music ...great people most of all great picking.

Cathy L.

Yelp
They have a large strawberry patch. Need to go early since it is popular. We waited till the last day so not much was left.

D R.

Yelp
Way too expensive. My husband and I went today after a few years of not being able to visit. We picked blueberries and two bags of apples and were charged $140. They seem to care more about paying for their extensive overhead than running a simple, friendly orchard. It's a carnival atmosphere now. We'll never return. Save your hard-earned money for another u-pick operation.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Such a fun experience if you're craving New England fall. Spent a nice couple of hours here.

David A.

Yelp
Great time, friendly people excellent facility, quality products a great day lots of fun

Yelp
Used to be a good place till their love of money got the best of them. I had surgery a few days prior and wasn't supposed to lift anything, so I simply wanted to go walk around and go blueberry picking with my husband, who loves blueberries and I'm not a fan. They refused to let me in to simply walk around, without paying, because they charge everyone an entry fee. They could have cared less about my surgery and were so incredibly rude. You have lost my business along with many other people I know, who have said how expensive and ridiculous it is. Sad you have let greed get the best of you.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Wonderful experience for picking fruits! We went on a Wednesday, so there weren't many other people. We ended up picking a tray of blueberries and a bag of apples. You first pick the size of your tray/bag and then there is a vehicle that drives you to where you do the picking. The staff members were all super friendly and gave advice on what type of berries/fruit to pick and the different flavors (more sweet, more tart etc). There were so many ripe blueberries that were really easy to collect!! (Tip: larger blueberries are sweeter). After we collected our fruits, we ended the day eating apple cider donuts as well as hot apple cider, which was delicious. Would definitely come here again for the experience and the friendly staff and delicious food.

Jeffrey K.

Yelp
First of all, I really love this place. It's everything you could ever want when it comes to apple and blueberry picking. They shuttle you via golf cart to whatever yo'd like to pick, and it's a lovely spot. Here's my problem with the place. A couple of years back, you and a partner/friend could stroll through and pick a container of fruit between you. For the last couple of years, everyone in your party has had to prepay for a container each, whether you you want that many or not. When asked about this, they explained that they suffered too much loss otherwise. So right away, you're lumped in with people who would steal, which sets up an unhealthy adversarial vibe between you and them. The only way around this was for my partner and I to pick our fruit separately (so much for what could have been a lovely shared experience). I wouldn't even mind so much if they just said the admission was for the shuttles, the live music, or they just needed more money to stay viable. Now every time I go there, I'll feel a little bitterness toward the business. But decide for yourself.

Joanna R.

Yelp
We love it here! We come here every year for high bush blueberry picking. Things we love... The location - it is remote enough that you truly have people that are there for the experience and not just getting in the way of others :) They have plenty of parking and diligent parking attendants for the days it is really crowded. The Staff - all of the staff we have interacted with have been extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. You can't "wander" very far without someone asking if you need any assistance. Staff includes everyone - at the cash registers, near the picking containers, the donut people and the golf cart drivers. Amazingly friendly. I saw a recent ad for employment on Social Media and "Friendly" is a requirement. They screen very well for this quality/skill. Seating areas - a lot of covered seating areas - it can get a little crowded around lunch time as people tend to stay and enjoy the music and food they sell. Food - They always have donuts and snacks and this year 2019 - they partnered with Rustic Taps and Catering (Beer and Woodfired Pizza!) it just enhanced the experience for us and our friends, but it also causes people to hang out a bit longer than usual, which means, less table/seating available around lunch time. The freshly made donuts - YUM!! We love the blueberry ones - both plain and glazed. Picking areas - There are plenty of areas for ripe blueberry picking! The golf cart drivers know exactly where to drop you off and they let you know where you can be picked back up. The way the property is laid out - you can hear the music so clearly across the fields and it makes for such a pleasant and relaxing day - Unless you are nearby loud chatter boxes...but you can move away as needed to other areas to lesson how much you hear of them vs. the music :) It's cash only (except for the Rustic Taps/Catering truck) - there is an ATM onsite as needed. We highly recommend this place if you like picking your own fruits, or just hanging out in an orchard.

Yelp
Cute enough place but there system is not family friendly. If you want to pick you have to pay entry fee for additional family members. The prices are high and then to pay an additional admission price seems way over the top. In all the years of apple picking I have never experienced this.

Matthew A.

Yelp
We were camping in the area and decided to stop in to pick as it was a beautiful October day, great for apple picking. The orchard was already packed at 10am! THe apple prices are crazy here! We decided to forgo the orchard and enjoyed the beer garden, live music, fresh made donuts (free donut w/ Yelp check in) and very nice unpasturized apple cider. Cute place, but the high apple prices turned me off.

Averyl H.

Yelp
We've been regulars since 2016 and went at least five times last fall. We also voted for them during USA Today's contest for the top apple orchards in the country. They have been our favorite orchard and a tradition. Sadly my feelings have changed after our first visit this season. Still a beautiful place to visit with warm, welcoming staff but the pricing is very high this year and it seems somewhat unfair. Apples are no longer sold by weight but volume. One peck is $22! For comparison (I called a few places) one peck of you-pick apples at other wonderful orchards: Apple Acres: $12, and that's for organic! Brackett's: $16 Randall's: $12 I asked an employee about the higher pricing and he assured me pricing didn't go up (it has, keep reading), just that it's by volume not weight and that Covid compliance has cost them more money. I know Covid has added some operating costs for them (plexiglass, etc) but it still seems higher than it should be especially since they are outdoors. I did not see them wiping down golf carts between rides. When I got home I weighed our full one peck bag and it was 8.5 pounds not ten pounds as stated on their site, however I didn't have apples piled high on top; I was being precise and trying to be fair. Even if our bag weighed 10 pounds that's $2.22 per pound whereas last year it was $1.49 a pound (except for Honeycrisps of which we had none), so one peck would have been $15 (I know, $14.99, rounding up) as opposed to $22. If you buy a half bushel which is around what we'd normally get by weight each visit, it was $29.80 last year ($1.49 x 20) but now costs $39. That's not all. They upcharge for apples on the weekends by $2 per bag for one peck and by $4 extra per bag for a 1/2 bushel which is when we went picking. They didn't do a weekend upcharge in the years past when we went. What's up with that? I'm not aware of other orchards tacking that extra price on their apples for the weekend which is the only time most people can go because they work during the week. I understand we are paying for more than the fruit-- it's the grounds, shuttle rides and music, but I fail to see how Covid would cause a need to raise the pricing by as much as they have and add a weekend upcharge. While comparing one apple orchard to another isn't exactly comparing apples to apples since each is a unique experience, the feeling of goodwill we once felt is now gone and that was a big part of us coming here. We can have a wonderful experience, get delicious apples and support local agriculture elsewhere without paying such a high price. Having said that, if you are OK with the high costs and find it to be a good value for you and your family you will have a great time.

Rene C.

Yelp
Once again Libby's and Sons have done a fantastic job with their orchard particularly their blueberries. My wife and I met our daughter at the orchard and we were greeted by an employee driving a four-wheeler who picked us up from the parking lot and drove us to the entrance. Once at the entrance we purchased our blueberry quart containers and were off to pick our blueberries. There were many different types to choose from. All three of us filled our containers and then we were off to buy some delicious doughnuts. I used my YELP "free doughnut" coupon for a glanced blueberry and we also purchased a dozen as well. They all were excellent. So, if you ever find yourself in the Limerick area you must make Libby's & Sons a priority. Keep up the great job, Libby's!

Tonya D.

Yelp
My family and I had an absolute blast. It was a little pricey but isn't everything these days. They offer a wide variety of goods and staffs super friendly.

Linda R.

Yelp
Wonderful day and time. We'll be back. It was a beautiful day and the blueberries are wonderful. Will return for some apple's soon

Chrysanthi L.

Yelp
Couldn't have had a better experience! Loved the variety of apples offered and enjoyed picking apples for the first time. The employees (including the golf cart drivers) were super helpful in navigating the orchard and locations of different apple types. We had great views of the foliage around the orchard as well. The donuts may have been our favorite part- killer Maple glaze and blueberry donut! Possibly the best donut I've ever had. The food/draft truck was a nice touch, with great local brews available. There also happened to be live music on the day we went, which was excellent. Overall, great fall outing and now we have more delicious apples than we know what to do with!

Rebecca A.

Yelp
We always have a great time when visiting Libby's. We arrived at opening and they have it set up very nice. Plenty of hand sanitizer and hand washing stations. Bathrooms were also nice and very clean. It was a beautiful day and the apples of course are delicious!

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Pre covid review: We will (hopefully) be returning this year, hopefully earlier to be able to get more berries. Apple picking was on the less expensive end, and they have blueberries and raspberries too. The donuts? Which kind do you want, because they have more than just apple cider. A smoothie? Yeah, they have that too. And a band, beer and pizza. I never knew I wanted all of that as part of apple picking, but I do now.

Erika B.

Yelp
Libby's provided my favorite apple picking experience ever! They have numerous varieties of both apples and blueberries, very tidy orchards and well labeled. Golf carts rides to farther parts of the orchards are provided and are so fun! Though the orchard tends to be SUPER BUSY during peak times, the orchards are so huge, it is easy to find seclusion. Absolutely beautiful place and there is a great view of the surrounding mountains at the end of the blueberry fields. 10 out of 10. Thanks Libby!

Kerrie D.

Yelp
Libby & Son U-Pick is a superior location if you are looking to pick your own blueberries, peaches, or apples. There are vast rows of everything you are hoping to find, AND there are comfortable golf carts with drivers to take you anywhere you wish to go. On my most recent visit, we came for blueberries. The blueberries were big and ripe and literally falling off the bushes! Everywhere we looked, there was another perfect bundle better than the one before! We were able to get 11 pounds of perfection in about 20 minutes! Almost exactly when we were finished picking blueberries, we were picked up by a golf cart and taken over to the peach trees! Our driver actually got out and gave us a quick inservice on peach picking, very helpful! We gathered 10 pounds of peaches in minutes! By the time we got back to home base, we were starving and SO happy to discover a food cart selling burgers and hot dogs. While eating, we were serenaded by some wonderful live music. After eating, we headed into the main building to settle up, but not before buying a few blueberry donuts. I am giving Libby $ Son U-Pick 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. 1. Even though I still choose to pick here, I think their price for blueberries is high. The 11 pounds of blueberries we picked came close to $50. That, plus the peaches, put our final bill at $75. This is a quality product, but it does come at a steep price. They are also a CASH ONLY business, so plan accordingly! 2. My second reason is something I noticed, that would probably affect no-one else. As I mentioned earlier, there was a guitarist serenading the crowd near the picnic tables. The man singing was doing a great job, when a woman who appeared to be in some kind of management position at the orchard, interrupted him and told him what to play next. He handled it with good humor, but I was struck by her tone when she shouted out the command. It made me feel uncomfortable for him and that he had been hired by someone who didn't completely respect what he was there to do.

Rose C.

Yelp
Had the best day at Libby & Sons today. From the second you arrive in the parking lot the employees are so welcoming and friendly. There selection of apples and berries they had left was more than I had thought for this late in the season. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The live music was great and the coal fired Pizza from Rustic Taps was some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back next season. DON'T forget to grab your homemade cider donuts in the way out. I wished I bought a dozen more

Benjamin S.

Yelp
Libby & Son Orchard is not somewhere I would recommend to anyone I know. There are an abundance of orchards in the same area who charge far less for more. Same experience or better, same fruit or better, same service or better. It is possible to get a better experience from many orchards in the area for much less cost. Instead of acting as if every customer who points this out to you is delusional, maybe take that time to self reflect on how you're operating your business. The continued regurgitation of the same excuses such as overhead costs, paying for the experience, having people carted back and forth to the parking lot, not charging admission etc does not do much for you. All of the orchards in the area share these same burdens, yet manage to be exponentially cheaper. We went 10 minutes down the road, grabbed a bag and all picked apples with no limit on how many of us could go into the orchard, got a tractor ride, and ate apples to our heart's content for significantly less and with much less hassle. They all seem to be getting by just fine at a fraction of the cost. Same product. Same experience. Might I suggest a better experience because they were more pleasant to deal with and much more realistic. Not a good look to clearly be either trying to capitalize on people who don't know any better or to be inept at running your business efficiently and passing that on to the customers who then get treated like they are delusional for complaining about prices. I will be actively promoting other orchards in the area to anyone I hear of looking for pick your own fruit experiences.

Kristen F.

Yelp
Beautiful spot to pick your own blueberries in late July. The staff was very friendly, helpful and their Covid protocols made us feel perfectly safe! 10/10 would come back for more fruit!

Sachin R.

Yelp
Woohoo! Apple, Blueberry, Raspberry picking @Libby & Son U-Pick. It's our first picking for 2019 and decided to be part of YELP Elite outing at Libby & Son U-Pick on chilly Saturday morning. We started driving from Scarborough in the morning around 8AM and the route was scenic all the way with fall colors. Arrived at the Orchard exactly at 9:01AM and there we met the Yelp group. We enjoyed the Apple cider and donuts (flavors - blueberry and Apple) were insanely YUM! Soft in texture and mouth melting, specially the blueberry donut! OMG, if you visit Libby & Son, one must try donuts! So we all had a quick chat and headed on a tour of the farm in a golf cart. Aaron was very informative, walked us through the process of Apple, peach growing. It was a unique, great experience at the farm that has around 8000 trees! Once we returned from the Orchard tour, we picked couple of bags for Apple picking and begun the activity. Picked different types of apples (Honey crisp, Mac, Macoun) and dropped at the entrance with name printed on the bag. Then moved to picking the blueberries and raspberries, good part they have golf carts that you can hope in, hope out. Picked fresh berries and headed back to the check out. Unfortunately the Apple bag that we had left earlier was not there and someone else had taken it. We had to go back to farm and pick the apples again. They have a small truck where you can enjoy the fire wood pizza along with some drinks. You may buy donuts at the store as well. Over all it was a great experience visiting the Libby & Son U-Pick orchard. Let the pictures do the rest of taking. Checkout the pictures. Highly recommend Libby & Son U-Pick orchard, the people farmers!

Kalyn H.

Yelp
By far THE best place for apple picking! Me and my family went for the first time last weekend & had so much fun! There was live music, fresh pizzas being made, an infinite amount of apple trees/blueberries & of course on the way out we had to stop for fresh fruit smoothies & warm donuts (apple cider, pumpkin & blueberry) which were delicious!! I highly recommend giving this place a try & I promise you will be back :) Happy fall y'all

Kat M.

Yelp
New venue to gather raspberries. They have golf limousines that take you to the picking areas. Once there the walking is easier than the last fields we tried. Berries were plentiful. We took our own boxes and tray but they hand they are handed out as you arrive. Nice shack to get coffee and snacks plus the strawberry donuts( made there) inside as beyond tasty. Easy to find!! We will go back to try the peach gathering and maybe some blueberries

Gar L.

Yelp
Fantastic ! Went for pick your own blueberries and fresh donuts and smoothies. Live music in AM. Well worth the trip . Beautiful setting . Great people.

Jesse A.

Yelp
.This is a beautiful orchard, as a bonsai enthusiast it was really need to look at how well the trees were trimmed and taken care of. It is a very beautiful piece of property. And I haven't seen apples this big since I was in Washington state in the Yakima region. The taste of the apples is also amazing. The prices for the apples was staggering. I literally took a step back when I was told how much I was going to have to pay. If your budget conscious this is not the place for you. But if you don't care about the price and you just want the best apples in the state and this is the place for you.

Marc S.

Yelp
This orchid was awesome. It had great selection and tasting apples plus lots of other fun foods and music. Definitely be back next season.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Came here in September and had so much fun! Staff was attentive and friendly. The farm was well maintained and organized. They ride you to eat pick in a gold cart. Definitely would go back!

Danielle B.

Yelp
I had great experience today and times before picking blueberries and apples. They are helpful and friendly. You can get rides right to what you need. The blueberries were looking great! Blueberry crisp is in my future!

I used to live eight down the street from Libby and I really enjoyed going there to pick. Unfortunately, I really have a hard time paying $9 for a box of blueberries that I have to pick myself. I guess I will be going to Doors from now on.

Yelp
I have never been apple picking. Not sure how I made it out of rural NY and living in Maine for as long as I have without doing so. But it was exactly what I wanted it to be. This place is great if you have kids in tow or people that might not want to hike up a hill - they have great golf carts to take you where you need to go. And if you ask, they just might take you up to the top of the hill so you can get a glorious view of the land. It's a stunner. In fact, the first thing that came to mind - this would be a great place to elope. (Settle down, no one is doing that any time soon.) The Macs and the Cortlands were huge and heavy on the trees, and fun fact: the best apple pies are made of half and half of these varieties. I also picked a pint of raspberries. They were so good, I could not think of baking them in anything because eating them right away while they were so good and luscious seemed to be the only way. The cider donuts were hot and fresh, and I showed extreme will power not buying 3 dozen to go home with. I did grab a caramel apple for later.... and it was perfection. Libby & Son might feel out of the way - but well worth the trip. Go before 12, before it gets crazy!

Yelp
We love this place. If you want to pick your own blueberries, this is the place to go! They will give you a ride to your favorite blueberry locations. They sell donuts, popcorn, caramel apples and so on. People who work there were nice too.

Yelp
Libby & Son's is the place to be if you like fruit, fun and views. We arrived on a very busy Saturday around 10am and they had parking directors which was helpful and we didn't have to park far from where we were going. Upon entering the we were greeted and offered various box sizes for picking. We all loaded up into a golf cart and were taken to blueberry bushes that were plentiful. We wanted a certain kind and were told those bushes were rather picked through so we started where they took us and then slowly made our way along to the patriot bushes which were sweet and so yummy. They had a variety of kids ranging from sweet to tart, large and small. This is a perfect place to snap some photos with your family and have a picnic. We made our way back down the hill only to find very a very busy picnic area, it was $9 for a small cheese pizza and a wait time of 30-45 mins so opted out of food. Next time we will sit and enjoy the beer, band, food and views. It was my visit and certainly not my last!

Yelp
I have a seasonal place in OOB and was up for Columbus Day Weekend. We were trying to find a place to pick apples near hiking trails so we could make a day of it and found Libby & Son. We could have made a whole day just at the farm! There was so much to do there! Food, pizza and beer, entertainment, pumpkins, etc. the apples were abundant and large. Hard to believe so many apples were still on the trees! We picked the last of the raspberries for the season. They were small and sparse but we managed to get a pound. No trip to an orchard is complete without cider donuts so of course we bought a dozen. They were delicious and came in a variety of flavors and glazes. This is a gem of a farm. We will be back!

Yelp
This is our favorite place to pick apples and blueberries in Maine. On top of that, the donuts and smoothies are awesome. If you are looking for a great place to go, give this place a shot.

Yelp
Do you want something to do outside? Do you like nature's candy aka berries? This is the place! I've been apple picking before in Standish but there's just more of an experience with the live music, golf cart shuttles and array of apple varieties, raspberries and blueberries. If I just wanted apples I could just go to the store and LnS realizes this is kind of a drive for most people and they try really hard to make it fantastic. There's lots of heated space to sip coffee, munch homemade cider donuts and warm up. If you get a chance to talk to Aaron the owner he can talk your ear off about the pros and cons of different apple varieties, etc. and I found it extremely interesting. Why are Honeycrisp so expensive but delicious? They're the Goldilocks of apples, very temperamental to grow and store but the cell structure is larger so the juicy cells explode in your mouth. This is the kind of stuff you can learn there! We can't wait to come back and pick some other varieties with the family. CASH ONLY

Nothing better than a beautiful red crisp apple with tons of flavor. I love to make apple crisp and it always come out great!!! Oh yes the donuts and cider are to die for. This orchard has it all blueberries raspberries and apples of course.

Yelp
Okay, full disclosure and slight ramble so that everything is on the up and up per yelp policy. I work (and really like and am work friends with) the wife of one of the sons in Libby and Son. HOWEVER, I can promise you my rating is not impacted by this connection. In fact, as I sit here eating the most delicious honey crisp that is bigger than my fat maine coon cat's head and dripping it all over my keyboard, I have spent the last TEN minutes attempting to find something even slightly wrong with this business so I could justify giving it four stars to PROVE that my review isn't biased. Why? Because I am crazy. I can't find ANYTHING that could make me want to give it less than a five star rating and I'm not going to give it four stars just because I happen to have a faint and nebulous connection. I live on the wild side... ------hold on while I wipe down my keyboard------ Reasons why I love this place: -apple picking with amazingly huge and beautiful apples that are delicious (Is it bad to eat four apples in one day? Yes? Okay, I will not go get another one.) -outside without the ick factor (I am NOT an outdoor person by nature and I don't really like dirt, bugs, etc. While sadly it is not possible to go apple picking in a concrete wind tunnel, the property is well maintained, clean, trash free, not stinky, etc. They also have a real life parking area with defined spaces. I hate parking in fields. I acknowledge that I am a bit of a city brat.) -they also have blueberries and raspberries (and peaches and plums, but not right now) -There are little cart/people movers to drive you around, so there isn't a ton of walking. We had a tour via cart thingamabob and then walked back (it wasn't that far and I felt I needed to burn as many calories as possible because...) -APPLE CIDER DONUTS (and blueberry): These were amazing and incredible and I ate it so quickly and was sad but THEN.... -APPLE PIE SMOOTHIES (which I split with Celeste as to not be TOO much of a fatty) They also have a musician who was playing all the instruments and singing. I have heard/seen pictures of face painting. I saw but did not partake of hamburgers and hot dogs and apple cider (I was full after pigging out on a smoothie and a donut). It should be noted that this is a cash/check only establishment, HOWEVER there is an ATM. Or you could just bring cash. Or you could be my mother and still carry around a checkbook with you (hashtag old school). Is it worth the 45 minute drive? YES Am I going back again? YES Is it a definite five stars? YES Am I going to go get another apple to eat as I pretend to proofread my review? YES!!!!!!
