Libertador looks pretty worn -- much more the rooms than the public spaces, which are fine except for a very occasional tattering between the strips of carpeting. Even the towels are worn thin, with 2 that we received over our 4 days at the hotel very tattered at the ends. From our experience, the infrastructure also appears to be wearing out. The first room we were given smelled distinctly of mold. To the hotel's credit they moved us promptly, and the next room had no smell. However, we soon learned that this room lacked hot water and cooling capacity from the air conditioning. Again, quite promptly a technician appeared, and after he did some work in the bowels of the building, we did have hot water and cooling. Unfortunately, 2 days later we were again without both hot water and cooling. Personal service was good, not particularly warm or friendly, but all-round effective.
