Libertador Hotel

On arrival for the first time to splendid BA , the comforting site of this superbly located modern hotel was most welcome! In the heart of the city right next to Florida ( excellent for the essential Blue rate money exchange available… Cambio! Cambio!)literally 30 seconds away , and the smart Galeria Pacifico on the corner of Florida… very handy too for the nearby yellow Bus city tour bus stop and ticket office which is a must do excursion.The hotel is modern big but never less warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and contain everything you would need for a stay of any length, free wi fi works quickly and efficiently too. The breakfast is varied and of decent quality ditto any food ordered in the reception area of a lunch or evening, a good alternative if arriving to the hotel at unsociable hours, the service and choices were very good and the food very pleasing indeed.The reception bar is well stocked, smart and relaxed with TV showing football quite often! The gentleman on the front door are always ready to greet with a smile and welcome guests back from long days exploring! Most appreciated! |The Libertador is beautifully adorned on its walls by both original directly painted art and hanging pieces, there are at one superb in texture and colour and are extremely eye catching! The artist and his charming wife were actually in residence during the stay which was a nice addition to the experience. |The hotels shining light ( and colleague Martin on reception who was so kind) was Carlos! The great Carlos who made this hotel so brilliant! His instant warm greeting, smile and very excellent English made settling in so easy. He really made the stay in BA so much more enjoyable. Kindly listing restaurants, how to get around the city, which trains to take and places to go. Carlos was so helpful and kind to us the hotel we will never forget his contribution to the holiday without him it wouldn’t been the same ! Thank you Carlos and all the excellent staff

The hotel has seen better times, it requires severe maintenance to bring it back to glory, location is great and staff is good in general

Very comfortable. Good location - near restaurants, shopping, main cbd sites. Good bar/restaurant and friendly service. Definitely worth looking at. Good breakfast also. On a very busy street but rooms were very quiet. Definitely recommend

The hotel is excellent. Very nicely decorated, the staff are very attentive and make you feel at ease from the very first moment. I highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at the Libertador Hotel in Buenos Aires with a large group, and unfortunately, our experience was largely negative. The rooms showed clear signs of neglect, including mold on the walls, moisture damage, rusted bathroom fixtures, and generally unsanitary conditions. The interiors are outdated, the beds uncomfortable, and the overall ambiance was unpleasant—a sentiment echoed by everyone in our group. The service was adequate but unremarkable, and while the breakfast was decent, it did little to offset the discomfort of our accommodations. Additionally, the elevators were extremely slow and stairwells were inconveniently located, often resulting in long waits. Although the hotel is well-situated near local businesses and attractions, these issues significantly marred our stay.

This hotel was part of a tour package and was OK for the one night we stayed.|It seemed well located but we did very little independently whilst here. Check in was efficient for a large group. The room was well appointed and quite large. However, there was an issue with noise from the neighbouring room (it sounded as though someone was sawing something). We thought it was the renovations that were happening at first but realised we were too far away for this to be the reason. A member of staff came up to witness the noise but the solution appeared to be for us to move rooms rather than them go next door and deal with it! As we were going for an organised dinner 15 minutes later we decided to stay put and luckily the noise had stopped when we were back later. I found it bizarre that we had to be inconvenienced rather than the noise makers though.|The breakfast was a disappointment. It was very busy and not particularly well stocked.

The first room had plastic or rubber curtains with what looked like cigarette burn holes in them. The carpet had similar marks and the window looked straight out on a concrete wall about 2 metres from the window. It smelled of sewage. The second room had two single beds not a double, the bath had black stains and the floor had no carpet.the window looked almost straight into someone’s apartment. The third room which we had to pay a substantial extra fee for, had yellow stains all over one wall, but was high enough to get some natural light

Very disappointing. Would be a terrible ch to give it four stars. Pool and gym being renovated. Rooms need upgrading.
