I love this place! They have an excellent selection of high-quality meats, cheeses, olives, and fresh produce. The sandwiches at the deli bar are absolutely delicious, and the customer service is always friendly and helpful. I'm so grateful to have a local grocery store that consistently offers such great products. My only reason for taking off one star, is I wish they wouldn't use and have things that have seed oils.

Google
Love love love the vibe here. Hate hate hate that two mediocre samiches cost so much. Takes away from the whole experience. I wish yall the best but I won’t be back. Thank you for the prompt response, I can see you guys care about your products and customers. Please understand my review is based off of a $50 trip in to get two sandwiches and two drinks. That is a lot of money no matter how you look at it. The sandwiches were dry and just middle of the road taste wise. At the price point I can’t justify a second trip to see if it was just a one off experience. Thank you for your time.

This tiny grocery store packs a huge punch. I live in the neighborhood so on a walk one day, I went inside to check it out. It looks unassuming from the outside but inside their walls are lined with the most inspiring foods. All of their produce, meat, and cheese is local, super fresh, organic, and straight up beautiful. You feel like a Michelin star chef when you cook with ingredients like these; your food has so much more depth of flavor and personality than chain grocery store food. Though the store is small, you can easily get lost in all of the possibilities for delicious meals in every corner.

Google
BEST GF SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD. The deli in the back is absolutely where it’s at!!! Nicest people ever, great selection of food and fruit and all kinds of fun stuff!! I love it when the garage doors are open and we can grab a sammy and coffee and apple and eat at the picnic tables. Could not recommend this place more. Ps, get the capocollo :) THANKS LIBERTY FRESH YOU ROCK!!!

Google
Great local store offering local products and unique produce and other awesome findings. The location is convenient. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend.

Google
Fantastic gourmet market! If you didn’t know, they also make great sandwiches. I prefer making my own with their great deli, grocery, and third-party bakery items. Here’s a personal favorite that I’ll name ‘The Kirby’ after the employee that inspired it based on a stellar cheese recommendation that was the basis: Sesame seed sourdough (Bread Riot), Holey Cow cheese (Central Coast Cheese), Al Pastor Ham (unknown), Dijonaisse (equal parts Edmond Fallot seed style mustard and Kewpie Mayo - or your preferred ratio) Could add a cornichon or two and lettuce…

Google
This is a wonderful store for fresh fruit and vegetables, speciality coffees, teas and bakery and treats. They have fresh, meat and poultry. A good selection of non alcoholic drinks, beer and soft drinks also fresh flowers and the like..support your locally owned and operated market!

Google
Super disappointed in the baguette. They use to be the place to go for an amazing baguette but 5.99 for a 14 inch baguette is a bit ridiculous. Kinda sad that the person at the checkout counter thought my French cheese was a mini cake.

Yelp
I come here at least once a week for a sandwich. Abby, the cheese monger, is not only my best friend but puts so much love into her craft. Ok...I might be a little biased but who doesn't give 5 stars to a sandwich made with love?! The workers here radiate positive energy and are so welcoming every.single.time. Get the freshest ingredients for your next meal and don't miss out on the espresso bar on weekends! It's also the perfect spot to post up and enjoy a spring day with their open-garage concept. Liberty Heights has become a staple in my neighborhood and I can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
I love visiting this well delightful unique shop. I went in with a friend that had never been and he was really impressed. Also was able to meet and chat with the owner who is a Great guy. This store has so many amazing, hard to find and unique items. From the Olive Oils, to cheeses, meats, breads, fruits and vegetables it's just a gem of a shop. I highly recommend you visit if you are in the neighborhood!

Yelp
So this is what happened to the soul of WFM! They kept most of the good things and there are Jeni's Ice cream flavours you won't find anywhere else other than the main site that requires a membership. When things backed up at the register, a lady appeared. The grocery section could be sectioned with some kind of enclosure for them ta save some money while also being more sanitary, but I enjoyed finding this place after lunch time heaven at Kyoto Restaurant across the street. The prices are honest and I enjoyed there not being employees trying ta oversell us, but still there when needed/requested. The cheese selection is welcoming.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet- one of my favorite grocery stores in Utah. A great selection including rare mushroom varieties (they have Lion's Mane), locally grown produce (persimmons!), an extensive cheese selection, and rare spices, vinegars, olive oils, local honeys and chocolates (good selection of Ritual), basically a little bit of everything. Caputo's has more selection, but this place has more soul imo.

Yelp
The little girl cashier, I think her name was Sam, she ignored every request I asked for and continued talking to her friend (which I think doesn't even work there) Sam and her friend continued their conversation by talking dirt on me, talking about my age, my weight, my looks. I have never felt so depressed in my 64 years of living. I don't think I ever did anything to deserve this kind of treatment!! Don't go here if you want to have better self esteem. Other then the lazy cashier, the gentlemen with the glasses (Andy??) was very nice and helpful when I asked for the lion head mushrooms, he was kind enough to take time out of his day and help me. Over all, the store itself is very well organized and I love the atmosphere when shopping for my organic groceries. Yet, the soup was a little oily.

Yelp
Picnic table beer and charcuterie, with a slice of dank chocolate cake and a collection of specialty products that makes me want to linger for an hour and read labels. Sure would love some kind of canned fish with mustard sauce.

Yelp
Good stuff, but a surprising absence of a modern bike rack suitable for the heavier e-bikes.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Incredible cheese selection. Gorgeous large chunks of fois gras. Impressive cans of Basque region line caught tuna. Add a delicious selection of ready to eat sandwiches and organic ice cream and what else could you ask for? I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Yelp
Such a cool corner market with a great selection of goodies. Thanks to Lacey's review I would have never heard of this place. After trying the Garwood's ginger beer in Park Silly I was sold! And saw that they were sold here. Bought some chocolates and some laziz garlic sauce called Toum which consists of raw garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt. My new favorite condiment which tastes wonderful on everything! This stuff will scare away all vampires in a 50 mile radius! Sorry I only took a single picture, missed the chocolates, cheeses, and yogurts. For sure will be back!

Yelp
This place has a lot of potential to connect many people in the community with local, organic, sustainable food but at its current prices, the only ppl that can afford to be regulars are a niche market of higher-income ppl. Before you get on me for ignorantly whining about higher prices for quality food, I am well aware that organic, quality, and local always costs more and I like to believe I am very environmentally conscious and try to do my part to eat sustainably as I am currently in a position in life that I am privileged enough to be able to spend a little extra on my groceries to support local and organic when I can. I stopped in for 1 bell pepper since that's all I was missing for my dinner, and it cost 3.09. These are prohibitively high prices for even upper middle class families to shop here regularly. The bell pepper wasn't even local, it was from Mexico! I will say this place has a charming and attractive storefront, with sort of a permanent farmers market vibe going on, with a couple outdoor dining tables to enjoy lunch or a snack. They offer many delicious local treats like honeys, oils, sauces, meats and cheeses, which are understandably highly priced. But the exorbitant prices on the basic staples produce is in my opinion what helps to give organic/local sustainable eating a bad name. If you are financially able to shop here regularly, I am not trying to dissuade you from shopping here. I am just of the opinion that sustainable eating options, especially smaller neighborhood markets accessible by bike or foot should be made available to the widest section of the public possible, and this establishment has an opportunity to improve social justice and make healthier and sustainable eating habits accessible to a wider range or ppl than it currently is, and I even believe that by reducing profit margins on basics like produce, you could increase your customer base enough to still make more money. Anyway, sorry for the food justice rant, I know that much of these challenges are part of a larger economic system that advantages large corporate food systems over small, local sustainable ones, but that is my 2 cents. Steve, I and I believe many others would shop here much more regularly if produce and basic grocery prices were a little more reasonable.

Yelp
Let's start with this is not the place to do your weekly grocery haul, as it is on the expensive side. But this is a wonderful place to stop and get a few items. Recently went in to grab some produce and gnocchi. The produce is always great. Super fresh and a great selection. I got some gnocchi and pesto, which were on the pricey side but so worth it. They also carry Hans Kombucha which is a huge plus, because it's local and it's my favorite!

Yelp
How have I never been here before? I've heard good things about Liberty Heights Fresh, but it never sounded all that exciting. From the outside it doesn't look like much either, but step on in, and prepare to be quite delighted. Their chocolate and sweet selection is excellent, comprised of some brands I haven't seen since my visit to Boulder (these goats milk caramels that are A+++), and some I'd never seen period. They have a ridiculous amount of olive oils and vinegars, bitters, prepared foods, and so many wonderful looking cheeses and meats! You'll also find seeds, flowers, fresh fruits and veggies. And a whole cooler of Jeni's ice cream!!!!! It's basically like the best little corner grocery, and I really wish I lived within walking distance. I have a whole vision in my head where I wander over in the warm Summer evening to treat myself to a little snack, and just bask in the beautifully arranged displays. Really. People are going to say it's expensive, but you are paying for a curated selection of goods. You can go to a regular grocery store if you want to bargain shop. There's nothing wrong with that. But sometimes you need something a little more special, and this is the place to find it.

Yelp
Came into Liberty Heights Fresh Market today, usually my favorite corner market in town. Today however, what would normally be my favorite loaf of sourdough bread was quite burnt, like black crust burnt. I returned to the store to exchange my $6 loaf for a better one, the cashier however claimed that all of the loaves are baked to this degree. Does this look normal to y'all?

Oz G.

Yelp
Pretty much if you're well off--you'll be shopping here. For the rest of y'all it'll be lucky. Hipster grocery store. Cool items.
google avatar

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Oh, for crying out loud. Let's just get over the fact that you're probably going to spend more here than at other markets. This ain't Super Giant Food Warehouse and low low prices aren't their game. Their game is interesting, organic, fresh, gourmet, delightful food and that, friends, is what they do and do well. Starting with the produce, you know you're in for something different. Where else in town are you going to pick up an organic Arkansas Black heirloom apple? The selection ranges from a few basics up to the weird (read: wonderfully eclectic) stuff. Cheeses, same deal. Meats. MEATS! Specialty meats you'll want to buy and gobble up. Olive oils, and all the things you need to make your food special. I also love the layout. When on those warm days you can walk right through into the market and the line between grocer and farmers market becomes blurred. Here's my prescription for a killer day: Stop by Liberty Heights Fresh and pick up a fancy meat, cheese, and small loaf of local bread. Drive up the canyon. Pack it into a small bag and head up the trail to the river. You know the spot. Then get out the goods and break off pieces of meat and cheese--perhaps add in a few grapes. Sample, bring something to sip, and relish in the finer, but simple things of life.

Yelp
I have an updated response! I live down the street from liberty heights. Maybe the day I went in stock was low, but every time I return there are more and more vegan options. Thank you! I love the vegan everything burrito, and the vegan brownie! Hope to see more vegan baked goods soon. I also purchase my coffee from you all. Thank you for existing.

Yelp
cool little grocery store! we stopped in to check it out last sunday after we ate at hub and spoke across the street. my sister in law lives down the street from here & comes in for a few goodies every now and then, & says the have some good stuff. my husband is a nut for locally made honey, which we usually get at local stands or farmers markets, but since this place is specialty- I asked on yelp a few weeks back and asked if they did sell local honey, & what kinds. a kind soul answered my question and said that they indeed did, & they sold clifford farms and other types as well. we came in and grabbed one from clifford farms, since their size was the largest. we also snagged some lavender dry sodas, & looked around a little, they have all kinds of goods, from fresh vegetables, meats, cheeses, all the way down to specialty ice cream, sodas, kombuchas, & even fresh flowers. i want to eventually come back and snag some fancy pasta & sauce to try to make myself! yes, it's more expensive, but what else would you expect for specialty items? we spent $30 on honey & sodas, but they were both delicious. the cashier who helped us out was very friendly as well. not a good place to do your weekly grocery shop haul at, but a perfect place if you're in need of something you can't get at the store!

Yelp
Wonderful corner grocery that sells fresh produce, a nice selection of imported European products (artisanal olive oils, real balsamic vinegars, Spanish sardines, French mustards, etc) as well as many locally made products (such as a selection of fresh baked breads, and a locally made yogurt). I live on the East Coast, but spend a good bit of time in SLC. For me, this grocery feels like a piece of home.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Prefacing this with that face that I'm likely not their target demographic. Cute little shop! Unfortunately they don't have the best selection. Wish they had more 'ready to eat items' so you could quickly grab something fresh and healthy. Unfortunately it is very expensive as well.

Tom G.

Yelp
This place is slipping. I walked in today totally prepared to purchase cheese, pasta sauce, pasta, bread, etc. There were not too many clients in the store. I walked to the front, near the bread, to grab a basket. There were two people working behind the counter talking to each other. Neither of them smiled, said hello, or even acknowledged me - strike one. I proceeded to the cheese counter. I asked about parmesan cheese and was given a slice to try. The cheese was fairly bland so I asked for something perhaps more aged. The guy helping me told me this is all they had. At near $30 a pound, no thank you. I then saw a gruyere, which I do like; over $30 a pound, which is fine. I asked the guy about the gruyere and I kid you not, the very first thing he said was, "Well, I don't like gruyere, but you are welcome to try some." I do like gruyere, so I did try some. The results were the same as the parmesan - merely OK. I walked away from the cheese counter with nothing in hand - truly, a first for me. Between the two ding-dongs up front and the silly cheese man with the expensive and bland cheese that the cheese man himself said he didn't like, I was done. I exited the store and popped downtown to Harmons. At Harmons, I purchased about $120 in cheese, bread, pasta sauce, pasta and vegetables. I proceeded home and prepared a yummy seafood pasta, while my wife, kids and I snacked on cheese and challah bread. Steven - I imagine grocery stores like Harmon are stealing your business. I know next time, I will go to Harmons, first, but remember, I was in your store first and your team blew it.
google avatar

Colton M.

Yelp
Why is this on yelp? This is a grocery store.... not a restaurant. I drove all the way over here expecting to sit down and eat a sandwich only to walk into a grocery store.
google avatar

Jenna M.

Yelp
Aubrey is absolutely fantastic. I got the best groceries because of her. She is so smart and demonstrates her love for her job. I suggest going to LHF just to talk to Aubrey. She is an absolute delight 10/10 made my experience great. She will guide you through each product to make sure you get what you most want at the best price/size. she is easily the most passionate and competent employee there.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Great products with lots of local to choose from. This would be a five star review had I not been made to feel dumb by the owner. First I'd like to explain that I am not your average yelper when it comes to specialty foods. I have five years experience in fine foods retail on top of ten years of customer service experience. If there is one thing that I have learned with personal interfacing in retail, it is that the customer is NOT always right. But, the customer should NEVER be made to feel wrong or inferior. This is the easiest way you can possibly lose a customer. So Liberty Heights, while your chocolate may be gmo free, you should probably serve it up with a little bit less condescending behavior. You lost my business for sure.
google avatar

Coco S.

Yelp
I love stopping here when I'm in the neighborhood, because they always have the most delicious things. Like this amazing slice of chocolate cake, and ginger beer. The service is always friendly, it's clean, and the food is great.
google avatar

Lili H.

Yelp
My favorite corner market in SLC. Local, organic, healthy, delicious. This is always my go-to market when I'm sick - tons of fresh produce, garlic, and ginger, immunity kombucha, and house-made soups. Definitely give this cute little store a visit!
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
The fact that there is a store in Salt Lake City where you can get H&H bagels, picholine olives, hot coppa, guanciale, Cowgirl Creamery cheeses, and much more (bulk cloves of roasted garlic; good-looking heirloom tomatoes and blood oranges, &c.) makes me incredibly happy. It is as if somebody who were homesick for San Francisco and New York had been forcibly transplanted to Salt Lake City and decided to make the most of it. The only downside is that it is wincingly expensive, and I say this as somebody who has gotten used to shopping at Whole Foods.

Meg M.

Yelp
yes, it's pricey, but not offensively so- that's the deal with this kind of special store! small but jam packed little spot. beautiful selection and display. i'm so excited to have found this place((: will definitely be returning on special occasions
google avatar

Yelp
Liberty Heights Fresh, where have you been all my life? Not to sound dramatic, but this place is heaven sent. As soon as you walk in your slapped in the face with the aroma of their fresh, homemade, organic soups cooking in the back. (drooling just thinking about it.) Their lamb stew is my favorite. Liberty Heights Fresh is not your typical neighborhood market grocery store. They offer a quaint atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. Fresh produce, dairy and meat is always a guarantee. I usually come here when I want to cook something special for my loved ones.
google avatar

Portia G.

Yelp
Cute little grocery store. A little pricy for sure but they carry fresh and organic produce nowhere else to be found. I grew up eating Fava Beans but haven't been able to find it anywhere since I moved to Utah. This place put an end to my endless cravings! Early summer figs and cherries are just a bonus for my visit on a rainy day!
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
Sister Holland cringes when I tell him I'm heading over to Liberty. You don't get out of this place without spending some significant change. But the thing about Liberty is they have foods you'll never see at any other grocer or produce stand in Utah. Need a few watermelon radishes? Or Farmer's Cheese for homemade blintzes? You'll have to head to Liberty. Keep in mind this level of specialty does come at a price. And for someone like Sister Holland Liberty Heights Fresh is likely to cause an outbreak of hives. Well, they don't quite sell the bees yet but certainly you'll find local buckwheat honey on the shelves. And LHF is the place to visit before your next dinner party. The cheesemonger knows exactly what you should serve with your illicitly imported French Montrachet and how to pair their fresh figs with a delicious Gorgonzola. While you're there pick up a quart of tomato soup; you'll soon forget the case of Campbell's down in the food storage.
google avatar

Allison R.

Yelp
this place definitely has some good pre-made food- pricey - high quality- the one thing I am frustrated with is that a few times I will get produce and in fact its not ripe or it is older. I had to return garlic recently. It was beyond dried out. I just think that should be made a priority. Fresh garlic is easy to keep fresh in the basket. I had to make an extra trip return it. I think that the prices are generally set above the Whole Foods but liberty heights is priding itself on the best organic options in SLC. I will say their chocolate cake is pretty much to die for- maybe they will lower some prices like whole foods has :):)

Yelp
Liberty Heights Fresh is an institution in Sugarhouse. I've been going there since it opened. So you could say that I am now broke. It's no secret, and should be the first thing mentioned in a review, that Liberty Heights Fresh is CRAZY EXPENSIVE. Have you ever wondered--where can I find organic sour cherry jam from Israel...and money is no object? LHF will answer that quandary with a $15 jar. (true story) Seriously, LHF is a great shop that has managed to stay afloat and viable in SLC. That is a helluva feat and a testament to the owner & managers. I love to go there for cheese, specific deli meats (love their Serrano ham and speck), random hard-to-find items (homemade paneer or ricotta), and high-end pastas, oils, vinegars, etc. They've got the full line of Italian Baretta rices--very nice! Oddly, what I no longer purchase there is produce. Their produce section is way over-priced (it's ridiculous) and the quality has dropped. This plays out when I am buying 3 out of 4 items for a recipe. I then think "why not buy it all here and save a trip." That idea bombs when their potatoes are mushy and their lemons are hard as rocks. Packaged sandwiches and lunch items are delicious at LHF. It's the perfect place to hit up before a fancy picnic or Red Butte Concert (make sure to wave your receipt around so everyone knows you spent more on the food than the concert tix).

Yelp
This is a great place for getting the ingredients you need but it not going to be cheap I actually live in this neighborhood and if my kid is being especially good we will go to the park on the back side of the block and go get a cookie after. Their sugar cookies that they sell at the counter are amazing. The cheese selection is amazing and you can try what you want. They have the best vegetable year. One fun thing to do is to go explore their drink selections. They always have something new and interesting. This would be a 5 star review but the truth is that this place is really pricey. All of their stuff is TOP QUALITY but something found here and Caputo's, it is cheaper at Caputo's.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Such a lovely little shop! I love popping in here with nothing in mind and walking out with something unique and delicious. I have yet to try the specialty meats as they are a bit pricey but I drool over them every time I go in. I also drool over the cheeses here and really should just indulge and give in to something new. I did purchase some gelato here and I loved it, also the cold drink area knows me well. I never really do a planned trip here, but always end up wandering toward it somehow and stop in for the fun of it. I gotta start making more trips up the hill to this place!
google avatar

Kayla M.

Yelp
If you love cheese, this is THE PLACE! We are cheese connoisseurs and we will drive well out of our way to get our cheese here. They have a little bit of everything, hard cheeses from all over the world, a great selection of aged cheddars, soft cheeses like bre and goat cheese... you name it. The best part is the staff are trained on the types of cheese, can give suggestions, will give you tastings and will cut you a block for whatever size you want. All the pre-cut cheeses have tasting notes printed on their price tags. They don't just carry cheese, they have an olive bar, baked goods (we also love their baguettes), produce, jellies, natural candy, etc. They even do catering! If you haven't been here you need to check it out!
google avatar

Shaun R.

Yelp
I still don't get the love fest for this overpriced food boutique. The couple of times we tried to make this place work ended up in either being out of bread or soup by 5pm. We find that most items here can be found elsewhere in the valley for a whole lot less, not sure I really need to spend $16 on organic spaghetti sauce anyways. Although this place is about two blocks from our house, it's useless to us. Go figure.
google avatar

Diane C.

Yelp
Liberty Heights Fresh is a bit of farmer's market on the east side of SLC. From fresh local bread, amazing cow and goat cheeses, and olives GALORE...this is your one stop shopping for any great dinner party or an afternoon snack. More than the amazing stock and produce, the staff at Liberty Heights Fresh are friendly and knowledgeable. Before LHF, I thought I hated olives...thanks to these guys educating me and introducing me to what olives could really be, I am an olive lover! If you haven't been in, get yourself over to the corner of 1100 E 1300 S!

Yelp
Liberty Heights Fresh is a delight. We love living within walking distance of it. I had an outstanding experience there on an occasion when I needed to provide a few items for a family picnic. I went to the deli section to ask about meat and cheese options. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They helped me sample and pick out some absolutely mouth-watering meats (artisan prosciutto and salami) and cheeses. They really have an incredible variety. It is also incredibly handy for picking up top quality produce and bread. We love buying a dozen rolls to add to dinner at home. The Italian breads are perfect (love the rustic loaf). If you're looking for low-quality food churned out by the American agri-business machine, you won't find it here. If, however, you appreciate food made from the finest ingredients that is wonderfully healthy, make it a point to visit this fine store. Please be aware that the food prices may be higher than at chain grocery stores, but you will be rewarded with such a richer experience, both in terms of taste and health. Their commitment to sustainable practices and local food production are admirable, and you can taste the difference. In addition to being a fine food establishment, this charming store is part of the wonderful character of the neighborhood. Liberty Heights Fresh embodies all of the finest qualities of a neighborhood store.

Yelp
This shop is: - adorable - filled with yummy things - gives all kinda of ideas for meals - makes you want to eat more SLO - crazy expensive - but then again, most store with the bullet point s above are. :)

Yelp
This review is for one specific item at Liberty Heights Fresh: Their veggie sandwich, known as the "Verde" in the local vernacular. This medium size sandwich costs a lot of money. If you have to ask how much, you can't afford it. (That applies to everything at LHF.) You do not go to this store if you are on a budget or if you haven't recently meditated or had a yoga class or listened to NPR. It's a store for people who wouldn't lower themselves to shopping with the bourgeois at Whole Paycheck. Because LHF customers don't get paychecks. They get dividend checks. What do you get for your money? Employees who probably have bachelor degrees. An entire cooler dedicated to Ginger Ales ("Ginger Beers"...still non-alcoholic) Of The World. World class cheese mongers. And veggie sandwiches that are SO damn good, when I last visited SLC I pre-ordered three of them for the morning of my departure for friends back home. LHF's "Verde" sandwich is so good, it'll turn you into a vegetarian.

Yelp
Local, specialty grocery store with outside eating area. This is a great option for a locally owned store that specializes in locally produced, organic food. Nice but small selections of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also tried several of their deli-made sandwiches and sides. All very very fresh and delicious! The homemade bread is worth a try for sure! The staff were friendly and offered assistance several times.

Yelp
I've been long overdue writing a review. I've been coming here for many years. I'd come more often except that I can't walk out without spending too much money. They have the finest selection of fresh product and specialty items in the State. For a long time they had the best selection of Chocolate in the State. Caputo's has moved to the forefront there. Although there is chocolate here you won't see elsewhere. There are other places with more cheese, but nobody with a better selection of exotic small batch cheeses. The selection of olive oils is great. Steven Rosenberg has done a magnificent job here.

Yelp
I've been a customerr here for years and have always had terrific experiences. The food, flowers and drinks I've bought there have all been amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is a perfect local company that supports our community. I love seeing them at the summer market and trying new things. One of my favorite is their California Olive oil, which is one of the best dipping oils I've ever tasted.

Yelp
After leaving my initial review, which you can see below, I received this message: Hello Frank, Thank you for your review of our good food store. I would like to invite you to visit Liberty Heights Fresh for a focused tasting of our cheeses, sandwiches, made from our local grass fed beef, and any other good food at our shop; and an opportunity to demonstrate clearly that the good food we proffer, and how we care for it, is significantly different from any of our competitors. For starters, a good example would be the "Cheeze-film" that we wrap our cheese in. It has microscopic pores that allows the cheese to gently breathe, vs. what all of our competitors use --plastic wrap. Next time you are nearby, pick up a piece of cheese and take a whiff. You will smell the cheese. When you do the same at our competitor's stores you will smell plastic. Yes, it costs more than $300 a roll, but it is just a simple example of the investment we make to assure that you always get our good food in its very best condition; maximizing the flavor and texture you experience. We may be a small shop, but our commitment to good food is unwavering, and your satisfaction paramount. Please feel free to access me and establish a convenient time to take a tasting tour of good food discovery. I look forward to sharing. Always eat well! Steven Rosenberg Chief Eating Officer and Good Food Evangelist Steven, I really like you man. I appreciate you taking the time to read and reply to reviews. It just shows a pride in your establishment that most owners don't seem to have. I do like and support what you're doing, and I definitely don't want it to seem I don't think highly of your establishment. I hear your ads on NPR every morning and I've been wanting to stop by for a while. I was at the Hub and Spoke Cafe across the street and decided to finally stroll through. I will definitely come back, and I will buy some cured meats and cheeses as I'm an Italian from New York and that's what makes me live as well as what will most likely be the cause of my demise. I will also make sure that everyone on here knows what a good proprietor you are and speak highly of you to anyone inquiring about your business. I really appreciate what you do, and how you do it. Frankie Steven shot me back an additional email with his phone number to text him at when I'm in the area. I have yet to take him up or been back to make any purchases, but I definitely plan on it. All of that stuff aside, I do prize good customer service. Steven is obviously all about customer service. He's checking Yelp, responding to customers. I immediately felt bad for not rating this joint higher. I plan on going back and making some more purchases, but until then I wanted to give at least one additional star for this superb communication.

Yelp
I love it when business owners or management respond positively to what I'm hoping is mostly constructive (though perhaps admittedly sometimes a bit blunt) criticism, when it is present, during a review. In this case, about three months ago, they contacted me and mentioned a store re-design (badly needed, in my view). I've finally gotten around to returning for a more full-fledged shopping experience. The first thing that struck me the most is that the layout is considerably better. If you spend a lot of time there now, it's only because you want to (and you may want to -- lots of interesting delectables to look at), not because you're hopelessly lost trying to find whatever gem persuaded you to go there. The meat and cheese sections, in particular, are very nice, with some very substantial duck offerings. Staff is as friendly and helpful as ever, though they're thankfully no longer underfoot due to having no other travel paths. I will defer the discussion about disagreement over parking for now, though I still contend that if someone is getting hit by plants extending into the parking space when they exit their vehicle, regardless of the building's history (this was an old gas station), it cannot be the fault of the potential patron for parking there. I will say now that the place is considerably more worthwhile for any "fight" to leave the car and get in the door. Prices are still very dear and very precious here, so be prepared to pay based on high quality and exclusiveness rather than any sort of "deal" and you will have to make your own assessment as to relative value per dollar. I do really appreciate that they've taken several steps to make this both more accessible and pleasant for customer visits and being able to see the selection comprehensively as a whole has given me a lot more ideas for things to try.

Yelp
The smell we encountered as we walked in had our mouths watering! This is a place where you can feel good about what you are eating bc it's all clean food. It's hard to choose a sandwich bc they all sound amazing. I had the Sonoma, Diestel turkey breast, applewood bacon, lettuce, tomato, house-made pesto mayo and soft roll. It was really delicious. There is so much to choose from at this little deli/store make sure you leave time to look around. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
I have honestly never tasted better turkey meat in my entire life ... after bringing home one of their local happy birds one year, I have continued to buy one each and every year! My friends and I split the cost, and whenever I share it at a larger gathering, everyone prefers the farm-fresh local bird over whatever frozen ones others have cooked from who-knows-where! And that's just the turkey! Any other time of year that I stop in, they have the most amazing selection of the very best fruits and veggies from local farmers ... and if you see something you've never tasted before, they'll cut into it free of charge so you can taste it before deciding! Their cheeses and breads and meats are ALL amazing . . . and their dairy options! Goats, sheep, cows, probably if you can milk a duck they have duck-dairy products! Haha, kidding ... you can't milk a duck. But this IS the only place in town I would actually purchase duck meat from. Stop by. They are tiny, locally-owned & run, by all the best, most generous, philanthropic, locally-minded people. Salt Lake is better because Liberty Heights Fresh exists, so we should ALL shop there as often as humanly possible, so they can stay in Salt Lake forever!

Yelp
If your into fine foods, fresh fruit, flowers, yummy micro-sodas, or are a dirty hippie... you gotta try this place out! I was in tonight with some family and they treated us fantastic. We ended up tasting some Australian Brie (bought it) and a couple of deli meats. Attendants were way helpful, informed, and present. If your looking to impress with a meal of unique foods, I'd start here.

Yelp
Totally true about the price points. If you have some extra dough to give away for supreme quality food - go here. Small selection, but larger than you would think for the small size of the place. Cheese selection is no. 1

Yelp
I adore this place, it's like a treasure hunt of things I didn't know I wanted, or liked, or existed. Amazing selection of cheeses, great fresh rare produce, fun drinks, and super awesome staff who always stop to help you or chat about food. I love this place!
