Food is very dry, need a couple of drinks to get the food down. Service is terrible, the kid at the front is rude and ignorant. We asked for the salsa that comes with the tacos and he stated “I’m busy” despite the restaurant being empty. Places like this don’t make it in the food industry. Hope they close soon!

⭐️FRIENDLY, FAST SERVICE⭐️ Liberty Taco is a good lunch place, with a group of friends or solo. I was impressed by their service. Each server was friendly and helpful and greeted customers with a smile. A tasty option for vegetarians is ‘The Impossible’ taco. It has a wonderfully unique combination of flavors, and the lightly fried avocado slice takes this dish from good to fantastic.

Excellent tacos and service. Has a clearly labeled vegetarian section and great options. The impossible taco is phenomenal. I highly recommend it whether you are vegetarian or not. The prices range from about $4 to $6 a taco, but the tacos are hefty.

Found this taco restaurant near the mail and it was a good place for reasonably priced tacos. This was my fist visit and the staff were helpful with food suggestions. The tequila lime shrimp taco was phenomenal!! Thai basil was also amazing. If the future I will pass on the chicken tinga taco, it consisted of shredded chicken and was just okay. I had the medium salsa. It was green and not very spicy, next time I will request the hot when ordering. There is a mix of tall stools without backs and metal chairs in the dining area.

Stopped in for breakfast tacos and was pleasantly surprised that Liberty Taco serves breakfast all day! That is always a plus! I love that they don't mind cracking eggs after 10am!! My tacos were huge, filling and satisfying. A fantastic value for the money.

I have to say that these are by far some of the best breakfast tacos I have ever eaten. They are huge. I easily make one taco into two because they double up the tortilla and since they pack them so full you really get two tacos for the price of one. My favorite thing about this place is their homemade salsa. The red is mild, the green is medium, and the orange one is spicy. You can choose which salsa you want to accompany your taco. I always get all three and I end up eating the leftover salsa with a spoon. I love that this place offers their salsa in bulk. You can get a mason jar of their salsa for a great price. You also have the option of getting your breakfast taco and a bowl and getting the tortilla of your choice on the side. If you're looking for a great breakfast taco give this place a try. They have a great array of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

The service was amazing--super welcoming and friendly. The location and parking were great. IG wasn't crowded at all. As far as food, the warm salsa was my favorite part. The flavor was great and I was not expecting it to be warm. The guacamole wasn't great. The tacos were a 3 out of 5. I would not go out of my way to come back here. But if someone really wanted to go, I would oblige and opt for one taco.

Finally decided to try Liberty Taco after the many highly rated Yelp reviews in addition to me loving Tacos! I decided to go on a Monday morning and when I got there I was in fact worried because there wasn't a single soul in line. Variety is the spice of life, so I decided to pig out this morning! I order 1 barbacoa taco, 2 egg bacon and cheese taco, chips & queso, as well as 1 chicken taco. All the meat on each on of my tacos was well seasoned, eggs were great and (real). For some odd reason, the Queso stole the show! The only drawback for me was that the tortilla did not seem like it was freshly made and instead store bought, but nonetheless all still great. Customer service was great!

I use to come here when it first open and now I'm back cause we just got back into town. I don't know why it's not as popular as torchy or velvet. My pick is the queso. Any taco. Always parking. Cause it's not crazy busy. Thank goodness. Ppl are always nice and a table open

Fantastic breakfast tacos, I come here about once a month when I don't have to run straight to work. I'll be honest in that I have only had their breakfast tacos, but they are amazing. The tacos are always made fresh and they are very filling so you will walk away full. There is a good selection to choose from but the beans add that extra taste so I typically will order those.

This is a fantastic taco place! The food is so good and the staff, especially Cammy, was so friendly. I had to buy some of their special sauce to take home with me!! We will be back!

So I didn't go but I did get some tacos delivered to me and wow these are actually really good.... So good that after tasting the shrimp taco I was like man this is good I have to review this place....and definitely need to go and dine in.... The tacos are very different than traditional tacos but not a bad thing at all! I'm literally loving the shrimp tacos they are like a coconut shrimp and so so good, the cilantro and onions made it complete and ohhhh don't forget the habanero sauce is so good perfect amount of heat..... the Caribbean chicken was so good as well was the steak tacos..... this place really surprised me in a good way.... Didn't think it would be so good but it was....

The food is amazing, however some of the staff have terrible service. I've been coming here for 5 years and have never experienced someone talking to me the way the woman talked to me today. Making me questions whether i want to continue supporting this local business. Do better.

These are quite possibly the worst breakfast tacos in town. The place smells rank. Has for years. Not sure why I keep finding myself back here. Always disappoints. There are so many better options: Laredo, Taco deli, etc. Dry eggs, questionable meat, hard potatoes. Their lunch tacos are even worse. Avoid like the plague.

Liberty Taco was pretty close to our hotel after a late night concert at NRG so we decided to give it a try. Chips & Queso were good. Very similar to Torchy's but without the heat. Two thumbs up I ordered 3 tacos: Bacon, Egg & Cheese - Barbacoa - Chorizo, Egg & Cheese. The Barbacoa was fantastic. Very flavorful & delicious. 8/10. The Bacon, Egg & Cheese was pretty delicious as well. It's thick cut bacon that was cooked spot on. 7.5/10 The Chorizo, Egg & Cheese was my least favorite of the 3. The eggs were overcooked a bit & the taco was a little dry. 6/10. Overall, I enjoyed our food & would stop back in when we are in the area.

We're out of towners trying to find good Mexican breakfast. We found this place and overall a pretty good place. The service was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good vibes and clean. The tacos were plentiful and good tasting. My setbacks were there were not enough options and the the options are unlike your typical Mexican restaurants. Breakfast tacos all have cheese! The other setback is I'm big on homemade tortillas. These tortillas were a little dry and store-bought. That's the only reasons they got 4 stars.

DANG! This place is is good. I'm talkin, really good! I love fusion restaurants and they will already hold a special place in my stomach! We had the Liberty steak taco, Kogi taco, Fajita Quesadilla, and the chips and queso. I have zero things to say besides "everything was super tasty and left me NOT WANTING MORE". Usually I hate that I have to purchase more food or I'm thinking about getting snacks afterwards. All I want to do is lay down and rest after eating here. My wife even said that this was the "best fajita" she has ever had and that it was so "soft and moist" when she bit into it. 10/10 will be back!!! Love it!

I love the tacos here!! The portion size is big and delicious! I love the fish and shrimp tacos. It's usually not busy so parking is not a problem. I try to pick one or two option from each category and I like the seafood the most. Free drink with Yelp check in!

Had to stop for a call session meeting and chose to eat some tacos while I worked. Very impressed with the kind staff & Great service, delicious well made Mexican food. Love the atmosphere and cleanliness. This will be my place when working in this area of Houston. Will recommend to family & friends.

These are some white people tacos! I feel the overall rating of four stars is totally fair as the service in and of itself is five star worthy while the food hits at three stars. I stopped by Liberty Taco on my way to the airport last work trip. I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee at the counter who helped me in making my decision and modifications to my order. I started with their chips & queso (no cilantro) and this was my fav item that I tried/ordered during my visit. I also went for the southwest bean and rice taco and a potato, egg, and cheese taco; all on flour tortillas. The server let me know what other salsas and items had salsa and was able to give me suggestions to avoid it and maximize my enjoyment of my meal. I grabbed my table number, got my drink, and selected my seat of choice. The chips and queso came out so quickly and was not only fresh, hot, and delicious, but had my order modification correct to boot and few minutes later my tacos arrived. The flour tortillas were fine, nothing special and tasted kind of generic. I started with the southwest bean and rice taco which came with a mango salsa on it. I enjoyed the taco moreso than my other item, my potato/egg/cheese taco. I am a HUGE breakfast taco fan (as anyone who's read many of my reviews will come to learn) and this taco wasn't bad...but it wasn't a standout at all, mostly kind of bland. Tho a few dunks in their awesome queso gave the breakfast taco a big flavor improvement. The fast, friendly service and the chips and queso are the major draw here for me and left a lasting impression. While I don't see myself craving a return visit, if I am in the area and needing a quick bite, I will happily return and give it another go, trying some other tacos next visit.

Breakfast tacos!!! Got 4 breakfast tacos for $10, I mean I think that's decent since 2 tacos will fill you up! The tacos are filled! Brisket taco, chorizo, potato bean egg, potato, egg and cheese. You name it! The tomatillo sauce is seedy not creamy** Mild, medium, hot are available for sauces Corn tortillas available! Order over phone and no Apple Pay in store

Chips and queso with tejano beef (aka ground beef) were good. Mild sauce is green. Spicy one was like a Orange cream color. Nice kick. Horchata was nice too. Parking was limited but ok after lunch hour. Cilantro pork taco has a sour taste. Kid enjoyed it.

Standard good tacos. Fresh flour tortillas and lots of stuffing in the taco made me happy. Only 2 vegetarian taco options. The bean taco was better bc everything is better with mango salsa. The veggie taco didn't have much flavor other than a strong pepper flavor so that's why the 4 star.

Ordered breakfast tacos at 2 pm. They were fantastic. The Texas brisket and egg was shockingly great. The barbacoa taco was moist and delicious. I'm impressed.

I tried the chicken fajita quesadilla for the first time it did not disappoint! I got a half order which is for quesadillas. Also tried the queso for the first time I'm so sad I've been missing out on it I usually order tacos but wanted to try something new this time! Glad I did!

Great tacos, reasonable prices, awesome delivered! Liberty Tacos has become a regular party of my weekend ritual. The Caribbean chicken quesadilla, breakfast tacos, and wide assortment of fusion tacos are all really delicious. My go to is the Caribbean chicken quesadilla and bacon and egg tacos. Flavors are pretty good, comes with extra sauces on the side, and consistency is solid after several times. My review here is for delivery service, and food comes within a reasonable time frame, still warm and delicious to eat. Food is packaged pretty well and tortillas are still firm and haven't torn. I know people like to compare this place to Torchy's Tacos, and I think Torchy's may have the lead on over the top saucy tacos, but Liberty Taco does hold its own, and would say delivery quality is slightly better (b/c its less saucy).

Yup, Liberty Taco is my fave taco spot (not street-style, for those who are extremely picky/knowledgeable about their tacos) so far in Houston. I have only ever called in to pick up my order here since COVID started. But I knew this was a spot I needed to check out after seeing the high ratings and plethora of reviews for this spot. Their phone service is superb. They have never gotten my order wrong, and they also read out the menu especially because I don't eat meat as a pesca. My go to's are their veggie breakfast tacos (potato, egg, cheese) and (bean, egg and cheese). OMG they get it RIGHT every single time. Moving from Austin, I thought I was going to be at a sore loss for my solid breakfast tacos...but Liberty Tacos makes up for what I miss from back there. Their seafood is also DIVINE. I've had their shrimp quesadillas as well as their shrimp tacos and grilled fish tacos. I gotta say EVERYTHING is done right. Their tacos are definitely my favorite items to order, but their quesadilla is filling too (and comes with a solid side of guac). I love this spot. Everybody there is nice and their wifi is free and STRONG. Their parking lot isn't too large, but I've never had trouble finding parking. Call to order and pick up. Trust me. They also have dine-in seating, but it's limited and spread out to abide by the law. They're fab. Support local.

Liberty Taco has been a favorite with my family for a while. The restaurant itself is simple -- order at the counter and wait for the server to bring out your food. Service is always quick and the food is always hot. I love the orange salsa here with the veggie quesadilla. The Southwest bean and rice taco is also delicious. Definitely worth the price point, I love stopping by for a quick meal. Make sure to check out Clutch City Coffee after, it's a 2 minute walk down from Liberty Taco.

Give me liberty or give me tacos! Well I can have both. This popped up on my YELP after my Tuesday jog so of course I rolled up here for taco Tuesday. Ordered two breakfast (brisket & jalapeño sausage), Liberty steak, Cajun fish, and the Cali club. All were packed with filling which is what I expect living in Texas. I don't have a favorite as all of them were delicious, filling, and flavor filled. This place has been hit by the pandemic sadly but they seem to still have good business with take out orders. My take out was packed securely and still was presentable when driving back the 15 minutes. While I thought about eating in the car, the comforts of your home with tacos in front of you is much more enjoyable than eating while driving. This will likely be in my taco Tuesday rotation. Maybe when things open up, they can build one near me. Do it Liberty!!!

Had the steak egg and cheese breakfast taco. It was delicious! Kept me full for quite some time!

I have been here several times in the past and they never disappoint. They have a ton of options and have yet had a bad taco. My favorite is the Baja shrimp so far. The service is really good and they are pretty quick as well. Great for a lunch break.

Great food. A large menu selection. Everything I've tried has been very tasty with generous size portions. The Kings Ride location In Memorial City sits right across the street from Memorial Hermann Hospital, in my nursing department, every employee raves about Liberty Taco. Our break room has Liberty Taco packages and cups every day of the week. The service is over the top excellent. Andrea, my favorite person at the restaurant, usually works the cash register in the morning; she is absolutely delightful to visit with, cheerful, smiling and always happy to help with an order. I believe that all the employees at Liberty Taco enjoy working with each other and they love excellence in their service. Great place, great people and great food.

I went there today and I will not be coming back. The supposedly background music was loud vulgar rap music filled with cussing that talked about bitches and hoes. I couldn't enjoy my food because the atmosphere was discussing . And the guy taking orders was arguing with the girl boxing up the food . My question is for the owners? Is this what you're going for? I didn't feel liberated at Liberty Taco

I had an assortment of tacos... wayyy too many tacos. Lol I had the 10 Chicken Tinga, 12 Thai Basil, 14 Honey Chipotle Rib, 15 Citrus Pork, 8 Tequila Shrimp, Kogi Taco, and the Caribbean Chicken quesadilla. The Thai Basil, Tequila Shrimp and quesadilla were standouts that I liked the most while the Honey Chipotle Rig was just ok bc the flavor wasn't bold enough.

Nice little taco place! It's a good 3-5 minute drive from the West Loop Houston Community College, so I usually come after class. I'm always greeted with a smile, and it's never too long of a wait to order if the waiters/waitresses are busy. It's a really chill spot if you want to do homework or handle some business while eating your meal, the vibe is very similar to a coffee shop. I get the breakfast tacos usually, my favorite is the Potatoes, Beans and Cheese and the Steak, Egg, and Cheese tacos. My mom usually gets the Baja Shrimp or the Tequila Shrimp tacos and she really enjoys them! There is a bit of a longer wait when waiting for your food sometimes, but I'm sure that's just because they have call-ins and DoorDash orders ahead of me. I really suggest you give Liberty Taco a shot if you're in the area!

I went here because I was craving some tacos. You basically just order, take a number, and they bring the food to you. I got the tequila shrimp tacos with chips and queso. Everything was really good and the service was super nice. Would definitely go back.

So I ordered breakfast tacos after a night of....partying way too hard for Sunday funday, and needing something to revive me before I caught my plane. And also...breakfast tacos? Rare in California! So why not? After receiving my delivery, I dug in! The jalapeño sausage, egg and cheese taco was ok. The sausage was a little chewy for me and there was no pronounced jalapeño flavor, just some smokiness. The brisket, egg and cheese taco left a lot to be desired. The brisket seemed like it was one of those prepackaged and pre sliced ones you hear and serve to make sandwiches with....definitely wouldn't order it again. My absolute FAVORITE was the potato, bean, and cheese taco!! It was DELICIOUS! The beans were nice and creamy, the potatoes were cooked well, and there was a perfect amount of everything! I seriously kicked myself for only ordering one. The tortillas were good as well! Nice chew! Either they're made in house or they get bought from a really good vendor! All in all, this California girl was happy. The bean, potato, and cheese taco is where it's at!! Also...the salsas were just ok. The creamy chipotle? Way too hot for me. They also forgot to deliver my drink, but it's ok. Whenever im in Houston again, I will definitely order to go again or sit down and eat in the restaurant.

Great taco spot! Definitely on par with Torchy's or Velvet Taco. They have large tacos that leave you full and satisfied. I tried the Kogi, Baja Shrimp, and Honey Chipotle Rib on this visit. The Kogi had deliciously marinated rib-eye while the Honey Chipotle Rib had soft and tender pork. The Baja Shrimp was the star of this trip. The shrimp was so juicy and fried perfectly. The hot salsa is the perfect addition to any of the tacos.

Definitely a keeper!!! You walk in and immediately notice how clean and kept it is! The music playing sets the mood for tacos, quesadillas and chips/queso and guacamole! BYOB is in the menu, too!! The service is great! They are very friendly and greet you right away with a smile and answer all your questions! We ordered the chips with queso with the added tejano beef and the brisket quesadilla! The queso is probably the best I have ever had! It is perfect with the added meat! The chips come out warm and crispy. It looks like they make them themselves. Now, let's get to the main attraction! That quesadilla was FULL of brisket!! There was no skimping on the fillings!! It was absolutely delicious!! Afterwards, we got one of their Hershey's triple chocolate cookies! WOW!! Rich, chocolatety and a great ending to a great meal!! There's a variety of taco offerings that are not the norm! Anything from beef to chicken to seafood to vegetarian options! This is a must for any taco and queso lover like I am!!

Wow!!! I was really impressed by the Baja Fish Taco and the I am somewhat of a Taco addict so when ever I pass a Taco joint I have to try it. And I must say these tacos are legit. I was going to take a picture of my Tacos but once they were placed in front of me I completely forgot. Liberty Taco will definitely be one of my common stomping grounds. I've heard a lot of good things about Liberty Taco but never had the chance to try it since it's so out of our way. But finally, my boyfriend and I were in the area and had to stop by. First of all, shoutout to the older lady at the counter. She is so cute and friendly. Second, oh my god. The tacos were great! We got the Texas Brisket, Baja Fish, Liberty Steak, and Tejano Beef. We also got Chips & Queso to share. The tacos were stuffed with meat and other fresh ingredients. Our favorites are the Texas Brisket and Liberty Steak tacos. They do not skimp on meat! They are bigger than they look in pictures. Flavors are great as well. They're often compared to Torchy's and I think that they're very similar. The prices are comparable, some are a teensy bit cheaper. The portions are big too. They each have their own flair. In terms of beef tacos, Liberty Taco definitely takes the win!
