A popular bar there you should book in advance. The booking deposit is not refundable when is less than 24 hours, and you are expected to spend the whole booking deposit in on your orders at least. There is no refund if you spend less. The drinks are delicious. The staff is attentive and service minded. In the evening I was there, I had wished that one of the staff could be more smiling towards the guests. By the way; it was a jazz performance by a lady and one bassist/keyboard. The voice was so faded compared to the bass. Almost not possible to hear her among the chatting of the guests.

Got four different cocktails and a beer. There was some miscommunication, and another cocktail was served by mistake. However, as soon as the error was pointed out, the staff quickly and flawlessly prepared the one I had originally ordered—without any fuss! Truly wonderful staff. I highly recommend the place and will definitely come back for their amazing cocktails!

Library Bar is such a beautiful and charming spot in the city center of Copenhagen. It’s very popular and not very big, so either make a reservation or come early in the evening. There’s usually a line outside. The interior is stunning, like stepping into an old movie. You really feel the atmosphere when you sit in the big leather chairs surrounded by books and dim lighting. The cocktails match the vibe perfectly. I really like how the cocktail menu is mapped out by flavor, so it’s easy to find something that suits your taste without having to read through every ingredient. It makes choosing more fun and more personal. They offer a lot of their own signature cocktails, but you can also always the classics. But every cocktail I’ve had there has been really good. A definite five out of five.

We had a blast. The vibe is amazing. The cocktails are impressive. We came for just a quick drink and absolutely loved it. Very close to a train stop.

Super cozy and elegant atmosphere. They play live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays, and the signature cocktails are delicious. I loved the decoration, you really feel like in a luxurious library and the dimmed lighting complements the overall aesthetic nicely. It’s best to reserve a table, because the place is not big and you’ll probably have to wait otherwise.

Very slow staff. I Think they might have been very under staffed when were there. Had to wait long for a table (even though several were available. But no staff came to greet us by the «wait here sign»). Cocktails were absolutely well worth the wait though!

We’ve been here a few times and have found that the service can be quite slow during rush hours, which is understandable, but unfortunate. The snacks they offer are delicious and the drinks even more so, we’ve taken a like to the Terminus #1914, which is like twist on the classic martini.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the Library Bar. It has a unique and cozy vibe that made for a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, though at times we felt they weren’t always as reactive as we expected, but this might just be a cultural difference. When it came to questions about drinks, however, the staff was always professional, and we truly appreciated the drink recommendations they gave us — they didn’t disappoint! For our wedding evening, we were pleasantly surprised that we were able to make a spontaneous reservation. Given that the place is usually fully booked, this was an incredible treat, and it made our night even more special. Overall, we had a great time, and I would definitely recommend the Library Bar for anyone looking for a charming spot with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.

Yelp
Great bar. Fun drinks, cool staff, live music around 8. Small capacity though so you may have to wait.

Yelp
Wow! What a great little place! Tucked up into a hotel where famous visitors are etched into brass nameplates and tacked onto the pillars in the lobby, lies this quaint and comforting place called the "Library Bar." The bartender was off the charts friendly and knew his mixology like he knew his Danish history. The sheer history could be smelled by even the most deviated of septum. If ever in Copenhagen, this place is a definite "Have to." Shine on you crazy diamonds!

Yelp
Nice chesterfield speak-easy vibe. Gin tonics were good, the service nice. Great place to not feel old in your 40s.

Yelp
For the most authentic vibey drinks in Copenhagen, come here. Both locals and tourists were marveling at the historical space that was used by royals over the past hundred years. They have a mix of inventive alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to sip on will taking in the dim lighting and details in this space. It's centrally-located and perfect for a dip in after a long day. Better for dates or small groups, otherwise you may be waiting for a while on a busy weekend night.

Yelp
One of the best bars in Copenhagen. The decor is next level. Atmosphere is cozy and dark. You must try the barrel aged negroni if you're a negroni lover. It's all hygge.

Yelp
Ducked into the Library Bar on a blustery evening and found a super cozy ambiance and excellent drinks. Bar tender is so friendly and pours drinks with style.

Yelp
Louis R is an avid reader so it would be appropriate for him to be three-drinks deep at this establishment...sans book, though. Louis R is a fan of throw-back, dark AF drinking spots adorned with wood-paneling, shelves carrying hard-cover books, comfy leather sofas, and strong cocktails produced by bow tie-clad mixologists. Lots of Danish locals can also be found here for Louis R to mingle with. I dare say packed AF, but in a chill way. Be like Louis R, travel to Scandinavia...but don't crowd my bars.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is amazing. I felt like I was in a secret library in a mansion but really it's in the plaza of a hotel. The drinks are pretty darn expensive so we only had one but they were good. I got the vanilla passion champagne and it was had a creamy taste to it. They also had an absinthe and champagne drink that sounded very interesting.

Yelp
Easily one of my top 3 bars in Copenhagen! I almost didn't want to write about it, for fear of disclosing what I thought was a totally secret tip, but seeing as there were already 11 reviews at the time of my writing, seems like the cat is out of the bag anyways - so why not throw some love their way?! I only found out about The Library Bar last fall when I attended a rum tasting there (which, by the way, was awesome) and instantly fell in love. I am just an absolute sucker for this type of old-school, dim, cozy bar with wood-paneled walls, book shelves, leather sofas, and classic cocktails mixed by bartenders with suspenders and bow ties. Their cocktail menu has a lot of classics, which seem to be experiencing a sort of renaissance recently, but also some signature cocktails of their own invention, which never disappoint. The prices are the usual range for cocktails in Copenhagen, but rest assured that you're really getting quality drinks here. There's a grand piano in there as well, where I've seen a very talented young singer/ pianist perform on some occasions. It's small and therefore fills up quickly, but only once did I not manage to get a table after a couple of minutes. It's definitely not as busy as other, more hot shot bars around the city. Definitely a place to go!

Yelp
Very delayed review, but this bar was amazing! Drinks were good, the bartender gave us great tips on visiting the city, definitely will be back next time around

Yelp
I don't really have anything against The Library Bar to be honest: The place is alright, very central - inside Copenhagen Plaza hotel, which is next to Copenhagen Central station. You can't get even more central than that, but the bar itself isn't very big. It's more like a room than a bar, a library to be exact, so I can't really sue them on that. With its dimmed light and cozy chairs, this place gives an aura that matches one of their best drinks: Old fashioned. You could imagine old men with cigars (well, smoking isn't allowed inside), sipping their 30 year old scotch inside, and it's nice in a way that it's one of those bars where you could have a proper conversation without having to shout to each other (I guess I have reached THAT age where I don't like to hang out in discos and loud places anymore). Three stars - because it's quite small, and that the drinks are pretty average for the price. A normal cocktail would set you back at around 110 DKK, which is probably normal for Copenhagen standard, but I would rather have that drink at Ruby's for example, for that price. Then again, this place is a hotel bar, where it's a common knowledge that hotel bars are pricier than normal bars, so it's totally understandable that way. That said, I wouldn't put this place on my night outing list (if there's such a list..) but it's a good choice to have if you are near central station and have nowhere else to go. As other yelper pointed out, don't come here if you're under 30 or have a young soul, you wouldn't like the sombre atmosphere. Me on the other hand....

Yelp
Nice and calm and a good place to bring a book or magazine and relax for a while. Closed on mondays when we where last there.

Yelp
Well reading the reviews I got curious to try this bar. However I arrived and it was more like a lounge where everyone was sitting around a table with their comfy couches. Good for a talk or a business drink, but if you want to be around people and have fun this is not such place. We went in and turned away and left. If you re over let's say 35-40 then it should be ideal for you. For me it seemed out of my league and not a place I would like to stay with my friend. On the other hand the interior was indeed very cool and it had this warm lounge feeling. There are no windows so it is quite dark and the colours they have used are also dark. It is located just after the reception on the ground floor on your right hand side in the back.

Yelp
There is a man in a tuxedo and well-manicured moustache. He's smoking a delicate cigar and thinking about his women. He never calls them "dames" despite this being the slang of choice for the rubble outside. This is the 1920's after all. He calls them "ladies" even though he sometimes feels heated after talking to jazz girls. There is a man playing the piano in his near vicinity, while the man sips a cocktail. The place he is sitting in is Library Bar. It couldn't be anywhere else. What a classy man. What a classy place.

Yelp
This place was very cool! It is quite hidden but it is happening. There's live music, great drinks, and typically every seat is taken. Much more sophisticated crowd than you'll find in other Copenhagen bars. I'd go back

Yelp
Intimate, quiet, and very dark-wood-paneled-old-boys-club feel. Imaging dim lighting, coffered ceilings, and leather armchairs clustered around low tables. Excellent table service so your glass is never empty. Very nice place for a few drinks.

Yelp
This is one of those hidden gems right by the main station. My friend brought me here for the first time in November and I really fell for it! It's like stepping into an old Library with a beautiful piano, woodwork and great cozy atmosphere. You would never knew it existed from the outside which makes it that much more surprising. They have a great list of cocktails and their bartenders know what they are doing. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because if they are full and there is only one bartender, sometimes you have to wait ten to fifteen minutes to be served, and that's a bit annoying. But they take extra care making each and every cocktail. If you are into cozy corners and nice interior, this is the place for you. Especially at Christmas where they hang a giant upside down Christmas tree. Very cool!
