Library By The Sea

Great night cap. Beautiful live music. I believe the singer was Irish/Scottish. Her voice was so beautiful. The signature drinks each had a story and nicely illustrated in a book. The staff explains each drink and tells you the story behind the drink.

This was an unexpected find and a complete delight for two English majors from long ago. The service is something you don’t find in today’s world- bartenders who want to take time to tell you stories of history, art, and literature. The cocktails are all original and delightful. The food is perfect for a night by the sea. I would recommend traveling to the Caymans just for this library.

Amazing experience. The cocktails were so well crafted and unique. They were based on different pieces of literature which was cool. Our bartender was very knowledgeable and we had a great experience! They also had some light live ambiance music

Excellent and unique spot for elevated craft cocktails. Incredible attention to detail in every drink. Unusual and unique flavors and concoctions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent drinks and great service. Food was also outstanding.

A+. I cannot recommend this enough. The highlight was honestly the staff. They were friendly and so knowledgeable that made the experience that much better. I loved the themed cocktails from literary works and other arts and culture notables. It also helps that the drinks are delicious. They play up the innovation, but how they taste is still the winner.

There is a reason this bar is in the top 50 in North America. This place is truly a one of a kind experience. Each cocktail is super unique, and is intertwined with great detail in a story, an era, a person, etc. The amount of detail and thought that went into each cocktail and the whole bar concept is truly incredible. You would be missing out if you do not check this out. Make sure your waiter/waitress gives you the full in depth story of each drink. 2/3 of ours did (awesome staff), and it takes you on a magical journey. I went here twice on my recent vacation. The atmosphere also goes along with each one of their cocktails. Any trip I take to the Caymans is also a trip to this bar!

Fantastic Bar! We really enjoied the ambiance and the service. The drink menu is one of a kind. I had the Hemmingway drink and it was perfect. Where else can you get a drink made with 1930's alcohol!? So fun.

We stopped by Library by the Sea at the Kimpton Seafire hotel prior to going to dinner. We had no idea what we were in for but seriously, probably one of my favorite cocktail experiences of all time. Right away, we were wooed by the creative storytelling of each cocktail. There were also some snacks served. And you know who else was serving, the best bartenders ever Max and Jack! We had a few pre-dinner cocktails and loved the company so much that after dinner we came back not just for one nightcap, but a few. The conversations with the staff were as rich as their cocktails and we wish the night didn’t end. It’s obvious why this is rated the top 50 bars for 2024. For anyone who truly wants to imbibe and be taken through an exploratory world of cocktails and storytelling, and respecting the art of it all we encourage everyone to visit and enjoy the journey through spirits.
