This was a very cool spot to check out. I love how the selection changes and how comfortable it is inside. It's such a unique and different perspective. The person at the front desk is always friendly and informative. The location is convenient to other activities since it is small and you wouldn't spend a ton of time here. I would totally return again.

The level of art showplace Detroit had needed for so long. If you're on a Detroit art tour, this place is a must, and you'll be right around other good places you'll quickly discover in a short walk.

Google
I am rating this on the basis of a place to visit and appreciate the history and architecture, not as a library. I should prob give 5 stars, but giving 4 just because there is not a lot to do. The inside of the building is beautiful. Huge vaulted ceilings, lots of marble. Definitely worth a stop if you are near.

Gallery is good. Also check out the alley way behind where they curate the walls!

The art was very beautiful and tasteful. The staff was so nice and answered any and all questions I had. Be sure to check it out on your trip to detroit!

Google
Big, bright roomy space presenting contemporary fine art in downtown Detroit's "The Belt." Both world renowned and new artists share this space. A great addition to Detroit's art community as Detroit becomes the new "Mecca" of the art world.

Yelp
Graffiti hunting is my game. The Library Street Collective is a small alleyway promoting a few different styles of art. There were large framed photos from a specific artist. There was graffiti. There was a stained glass entrance above the alley entrance, and the brick design hole in the wall. It's not large but it was clean and well done. Take a peak at the end of the alleyways into each parking garage who have definitely commissioned graffiti artists to beautify their parking garages. They are colorful and well done. Worth a trip to take in this art.

Yelp
We both have an appreciation for art and loved our experience at the Library Street Collective. Due to Covid precautions, you have to make an appointment to visit the exhibit. Located in the Belt Alley, the entrance is quite unique. I love the built in portal created to give people a glimpse into the gallery. We were so impressed by the Sam Friedman's Light exhibit. If you happen to be in the area or simply want to enjoy amazing art, book an appointment with the Library Street Collective. I am looking forward to their next exhibit.

Yelp
Cute little art gallery attached to the most unique of urban alleys I've strutted. It will just take a few minutes to walk through but don't miss it if you're in the area. The alley has some of the art displayed between businesses for all to see. It's modern, urban and meaningful.

Yelp
Nice gallery space. We went here to see the Kelsey Brooke's exhibit which was great. The back door of the gallery opens onto an alley filled with art.

Yelp
Every time I've seen an exhibit here it's jaw dropping and thought provoking. Right in the Middle of downtown detroit in the "Belt" a trip To the library street Collective makes an awesome Saturday afternoon and sets you up for shopping @ vault of midnight, drinks @ the skip and dinner @ Vincentes Or standby. Can't go wrong A+

Yelp
Nice collection. Very peaceful inside friendly staff and I love that there is an alley full of art located just behind the collective.

Yelp
Came to Detroit for the Shepard Fairey Printed Matters show here at Library Street Collective, great gallery space with one of the coolest adjacent street art filled alleys I've seen in all my art travels around the world. The Earth Crisis works were the highlights of the show right inside the front door of the gallery, love the layering, precision cutting of the piece both dramatic in red and black. Love Shepard's work and cool to see most of the work in the show was sold already as the show is only up for a short time ending in mid-August. Shepard did a series of murals in the alleyway, in the neighborhood and ten story mural on building across the street from the gallery. Plus he DJ at the opening, he's truly one of the best DJ's I've experienced from the show at CAC in Cincinnati. Angela was extremely helpful giving tips about the area, art museums, hip neighborhoods, restaurants and breweries to check out in town, including the Z garage behind the gallery, check out all 10 floors of the garage to see all of the murals & color schemes on each floor. Can't wait to see what the Library Street Collective's next show is, I'm sure something cutting edge for Detroit!

Yelp
Very kool space, visited most recently for Shepard Fairey & had a blast. The events are well organized pricing was within norms but everything is negotiable. Make sure you check out the alley behind the venue for some interesting street pieces.

Yelp
All you gotta know is this place was smart enough to host Cleon Peterson. Don't know what that means? Then you don't need to be ready gallery reviews ya chump. Anyway, for all my art lovers out there. This place is small, but trying to get down big. So support that shit or get a job at HR Block. Oh and Follow that Instagram game to know what's good playa.
