I loved this place. The hotel website warns that the room is small and has a low, slanted ceiling, but it was only 57€/night - sold! Even at just 5’6” (1m67), I did manage to bump my head a couple of times against the lowest part of the slanted ceiling. And it is small, but fine for me. On the plus side, the mattress was quite comfortable, and the shower’s water pressure was amazing. Be careful because at its highest setting, the water is almost scalding, great for shaving but way too hot for showering. My only real complaint was the shower floor, which is inclined and a bit slippery. As careful as I was, I almost slipped once. But did I mention it was only 57€/night?? Far less than everywhere else for the dates of my visit. I used the money I saved to eat at some nicer places than I normally would - Santiago has some fantastic restaurants! The location can’t be beat, just a block from the main square and in the heart of the historic district. And the staff was super-helpful, at reception from 9a-8p to answer any questions or deal with any issues - in both English and Spanish. At check-in I was given a map and a helpful orientation of the city - thanks, Quín!! I would 100% stay here again.

I got the attic room (number 34) for four nights, at just appx 220 euro. I think it’s incredible value for money considering the location! The single bed was quite comfortable I slept very well. The room had a single bed, small table and en-suite shower room and a fan. The room was cleaned daily, the shower was great, powerful and hot, and Shampoo and towels were replenished and changed frequently. The only negative is that the room had quite a low ceiling and I hit my head a couple of times, but that’s kinda expected for a small attic room. Another negative was that the shower curtain sometimes gave way and water went on the floor, but it dries quickly because it’s quite warm and sunny. The staff were helpful and friendly and helped me arrange a day trip tour too and my taxi back to the airport. The fact is that you won’t find better value accommodation in Santiago de Compostela, and I’d stay here again (next time in a double room though!)

We stayed here when we arrived in Santiago after walking from France on the Camino. We loved it. Five stars all the way. Great and helpful staff. Great location. Comfortable room with a view. Awesomeness.

The location is excellent, just steps away from the cathedral, but that’s where the positives end. Upon checking into a room that had been converted from an attic space, I immediately found a small bug on the bed and a larger one on the pillow. When I reported this to the staff, they assured me the hotel regularly undergoes pest control and claimed it was ‘just ants,’ not bedbugs. However, bugs shouldn’t be in the room, ant or not, and they don’t exactly enter through the door like guests do. They moved me to the room next door, but that didn’t ease my discomfort at all. I requested a refund, hoping to move to another hotel, but was informed that same-day refunds weren’t possible. They offered a more expensive room but demanded an extra charge. I had no intention of spending another cent here, so I kept the room to store my luggage but couldn’t bring myself to sleep, fearing more bugs. The condition of the room was far from what the photos showed—worn wooden fixtures, an outdated showerhead in dire need of replacement, and unbearably hot. I cannot recommend this hotel top floor and regret staying here. It is only recommended for those who prioritize location.

Stayed here twice in a one week period. Rooms are small and basic, but very clean. Woman in reception is very friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea is available 24 hours a day. Great location – about 100 meters from cathedral and across from the small Plaza de Fonseca. Lots of bars and cafes in the immediate area. A big plus is an in-room safe. The negative is the second day of my first visit I came back to pension after the reception area had closed and found I didn’t have any towels – I had to use my pillowcase to dry after showering. On my second stay, I checked and again I didn’t have any towels. The woman was apologetic and immediately brought me towels. My daughter also had a room on both stays and didn’t have any problems with towels. Also, the noise from the plaza can be very loud and last for hours. Our last stay was on a Saturday night and the noise lasted all night long.

Stayed here for 4 nights in May 2022. The front desk staff was SO nice & helpful. Can't say enough nice things about them. Rooms were clean & beds comfortable. Great location right next to the cathedral.

Outstanding in every way! Not large, but extremely well located! Literally 1 minute from the cathedral square and overlooks the Fonseca square which is the most delightful, animated, colorful one in the area. Rooms are small, but up to date, clean, with safes. The reception area and receptionist are bright and clean, with a key to get in at night. Paid €50/night but worth it!

All was good except that it is noisy as the hotel is beside de Cathedral and also people smoke downstairs and hopefully few inside the rooms despite the rule of non smoking 🚭
