My Mexican tour guide mentioned that Librería Porrúa is a beloved family-owned chain, but this particular location in the heart of Mexico City is truly something special. Nestled right above the ancient Aztec ruins in the center square, it offers one of the most breathtaking views you’ll find in the city. Whether you’re a book lover or just looking to soak up some culture, it’s an unforgettable spot. The service was warm and welcoming, the vibe was calm and inspiring, and the prices were more than fair. A book store that makes you fall in love with its context. The terrace is the best part with amazing views of old Downtown buildings and of course Templo Mayor. The interior of the book store is pretty neat.

Not the same place I visited a long time ago, but still trying to survive adapting to the times. Personally I would to have seen the same large counter they used to have in the eighties, where you could witness the largest chat exchange between seller and buyer. But that was a long time ago. Nice place to visit if you're into the book things.

Really nice coffee shop with patio overlooking the city on the 2nd floor. Great design, surrounded by interesting plants. And reasonable prices for drinks and a limited snack menu (there is also a full restaurant I believe). The only downer was the crappy musac they were playing loudly when we were there.
