Delicious and normal serving sizes... A scoop is actually a scoop. Loved the unique flavor options and appreciated the free samples. Fun place to sit and great for kids.

Wow, this place was awesome. They had 3 vegan options, chocolate, pecan and grapefruit. The blackberry, lime and basil was outstanding. I didnt see the goat cheese and honey until too late but that sounded so good too.

Unfortunately, the quality is no longer there. Three time within a week and all three time the same ice cream tasted different. The last time Apple ice cream was stuffed with the uncooked oats and had way too much cinnamon (it was so much that the ice cream was bitter). Personnel is not very friendly, they often don’t show the screen with the tip amount and I don’t know if they are adjusting the totals and I never get a receipt. Waffle cones are very sweet, but I like that they are crunchy.

Great ice cream selections and perfect stop to cool down while shopping! The shop was clean and very nice. Staff friendly. We got the waffle cone with a scoop of peach cobbler and peach colada (peach colada is a vegan option). My husband got blueberry crumble (personally i believe it was the best). We will be back!! They also offered punch cards to get free scoops in the future. 10/10 would recommend. We paid under $15 for it all.

Great ice cream stop! Unique and tasty flavors. Many options for eating- waffle bowls, ice cream sandwiches, and more! Their vegan flavors are soooo good as well. Really creamy and not too sweet. Store was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you have any food allergies they are very accommodating! We are first time customers but will definitely be returning!

I love the ice cream flavors and the quality and also that they have a reward system. This location has a really nice outdoor area for you to enjoy your ice cream. It is not big enough for you to enjoy your ice cream inside, but it's OK.

Good. Just don't kick anything other than the ice cream because this place is busy and you never know where the walls have been. Just kidding. It's all good.

It's located right in the heart of the restaurants at The Rim. Depending on the day/time of day there may be a wait. However, once you get your order or sample spoonful, you will be greatly rewarded. The flavors burst out of every scoop. The variety of flavors are bountiful and if you're not into experimenting there are less exotic flavor choices.

Came here after a date night at north Italia which is right next door. Loved the flavor choices they had. Very sweet and savory! Both people working were super kind.

Never been to this location and really enjoyed it. The space is much larger than their other spots at the Pearl and Hemisfair. It was nice to see such a wide selection and the ice cream sandwiches and pints on display. Their flavors are always good and the staff there were both funny and helpful.

What a refreshing treat for a summer day! The shop was small but decorated colorfully for pride month. We had to sample the unorthodox flavors and most would good- don't let the strange names or ingredients shy you away from trying them. We enjoyed the Texas Sheet Cake, Cilantro Lime and a peach one. They are were amazing and we will be back.

There's always a first time and it's was really our first time to try Lick, we have been seeing this Lick location a lot of times and been wanting to try it out. Not sure if it's just because the location is kind of "expensive" location or that it's really expensive here. Fancy names, fancy combinations fancy options, perhaps that's the reason it's expensive here as in EXPENSIVE to the nth power. Honestly nothing really is extraordinary as far as flavor and taste is concerned here at Lick. Except for the name--that's really extraordinary--and the customer service nothing has law would compel me to visit Lick again. Perhaps I'm poor or ghetto but I can't really comprehend why good ice cream would be expensive. The three stars are all for the customer service, cleanliness and their name...I definitely cannot get over the pricing...just plainly expensive. Trying to be earth-friendly with healthy options should never ever be a reason for establishments to price their products stupidly high. I'm sorry I really don't buy it...maybe I'm really poor and can't afford "luxury" or the illusion of grandeur.

Oh my gosh!! If you like interesting flavor ice creams then heck yes you need to try this place. Don't go there expecting chocolate and vanilla. The combinations they come up with are very interesting but so yummy. They offer seasonal flavors and dairy free (which the coconut is dairy free and had a bunch of coconut in it). The service was great, then let us try all the flavors we wanted even tho they were busy, but also patient when we were ordering. Not a lot of space to sit, but there's an outside courtyard that you can take your ice cream and sit out there.

I've been waiting 2 years to try this place! I read reviews and just couldn't get to licks while on work trips. But this last trip was my opportunity! Did not disappoint! The flavors are not for everyone (aka very niche) but for me the were a yasss. Don't forget to try some incase you aren't sure! Employees were super friendly and patient. There is lots of space for kids to run their sugar high off or just sit and enjoy a cooler evening. Did I mention they have vegan? Highly recommended for a sweet tooth fix.

Cool outdoor green space ambiance great for families to let kids run& roll around. Expensive ice cream & waffle cones. The mint chocolate chip was natural mint and dark chocolate cocoa with a flavor that wasn't for me.

Nice outdoor area to sit and relax with some wind. Their service is fast. I like their ice cream- my favorite is the mint chocolate + coffee and cream! They have seasonal menu that changes as well but can't beat the classic :)

This is right in the middle of some pretty incredible restaurants and bars. We ate at Southerleigh, went to Rock and Rye for for drinks and of course save room for Ice cream. Braydon and Jeremy were working last night and they were a delight. The winner of the seasonal pick was a gluten free Peach Oat that was so good. Then everyone went from there and I saw coffee, chocolate and another fan fave was the Peach Margarita. The place was super clean and the guys working had a well prepared speech to buy these fun key chains. I haven't read the details in full but essentially free pint of ice cream every Wednesday forever and all kinds of other perks. It cost $25 and personally I have a lot of friends getting these bad boys for Christmas. We have always been a Lick family but this is going to become one of our favorite stores. The vibe was just happiness and ice cream. Well done gentlemen!

After a nice anniversary lunch at Southerleigh we decided to try Lick Honest Ice Cream since it was right there by the restaurant. I went online to see what it would be and noticed some pretty funky flavors. That sealed the deal for me. I like trying new things. I have traveled a long way from my childhood favorite, vanilla. The venue is tiny. They do not have any place to eat your ice cream inside. The server even told us that we should go eat our ice cream at the ramen restaurant nearby since it was raining too much to use the nice tables in the little plaza area. We decided to just take it to the truck and eat there. That cost them one star. We each got the cup with three scoops. My wife tried the Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil & Sea Salt, Fresh Mint & Chocolate Chunk, and Texas Sheet Cake. She ate them with a vanilla waffle cone like chips and dip. It was obvious that she was enjoying them. I think her favorite was the Texas Sheet Cake. I wanted to try the three that sounded the funkiest to me: Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil & Sea Salt, Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint, and Goat Cheese, Thyme & Honey. I tried to pick a favorite of the three, but could not. All three were absolutely delicious. Even in a three-scoop cup, the individual flavors held their own. I would love to go back and try some of their ice cream sandwiches. When I do, I will look for the new funky flavors. I have a feeling that they will come up with several in the future.

I tried the fromage and fig flavor. You can taste the cheesiness of the fromage, and there were actually fig chunk as well! The employees were very gracious in letting us try other flavors. I think the scoop size is small, especially for $4 after tax. You can almost get a whole pint of ice cream for that price! Definitely more worth to get more than 1 scoop. There is some small tables + a bar inside as well as some tables outside.

Overpriced ice cream. The moment I saw they were an Austin chain I already knew. Very little amount for the price they charge.

The service was excellent and helpful deciding flavors. The chocolate ice cream was delicious. The vanilla ice cream on the other hand wasn't. The chocolate was bitter and the mint was non existent.

They have great vegan options! I got something with like chocolate and strawberry or cherry.

Lick is a charming ice cream spot where you order at a window and enjoy your treat on a bench outside. It's a simple setup that emphasizes the pleasure of savoring ice cream in a relaxed atmosphere.

Y-U-M!!! Cute ice cream shop in the RIM area. It's small but the line moves quickly. They will give samples and all are good! Texas sheet cake & chocolate mint chunk were the best flavors! Good service and helpful suggestions. There is an area outside for the kids to run & play in. Stop in and see them!

Swooped by here for a Vanilla Waffle Cone! I was hoping this Lick had their seasonal Gingerbread flavor, but that not being an option I ordered Texas Sheet Cake. Absolutely delicious!

Great flavors!! Definitely felt pressured to hurry up and pick one though since they always have a line. It was my first time and I was with my kids and they didn't get to sample. My son didn't like his but luckily he liked mine so he swapped with me. Otherwise they are tasty

For a long time, we've only been to the Pearl location and then noticed the one by the Hemisphere. Glad to see this location at The Rim. I went for the Seasonal flavors and had the small with Lemon Lavender and the Blackberry, Lime & Basil. My husband chose the Blueberry Crumble which we've gotten a pint before and Fresh Mint & Chocolate Chunk. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 stars is that the person who scooped my ice cream wasn't as generous as the one who scooped my husband's ice cream. I guess I didn't need the extra calories but then again, my husband is also diabetic and didn't need the extra. Other than that, it's what good ice cream I've come to expect with Lick. Having had a Yelp Elite Bingo event last year with the owners was fun and memorable.

I love their salted caramel ice cream. Perfect for a warm day to lounge outside and people watch. Even better when I take my dog and lounge on the turf. Although, I wish it wasn't run by high schoolers.

The shop is really small, so we stood in line outside and now in the summer time that can be a little rough. The flavors were okay- nothing special just given a fancy sounding name. The ice cream was also only okay, nothing to make you want to stand in line in the heat again.

Omg! Why did I wait so long to try Lick? My friend and I decided to skip dessert at the end of our dinner at a nearby restaurant and headed to Lick instead. And I wasn't disappointed. They had inventive flavors like tres leches, roasted beets and lavender. I got a small cup of Texas sheet cake and goat cheese, thyme and honey. The sheet cake flavor was bomb! And the other one was pretty good as well. I will definitely return here and highly recommend this business!

I love having the convenience of the window to order on the side, I take my dog everywhere I go, and this makes it much more convenient. They are also so sweet to offer my dog a pup cup when we visit!

The ice cream is five stars itself however I can't express how grateful I'am at the staffs ability and willingness to accommodate our food allergy needs. The young man and lady were even so kind as to grab an entirely new bucket of ice cream in the instance of cross contamination (all I asked for politely was a new spoon). Great ice cream and great people who truly understand service work here. In addition, there is a great place for kids to play right in front of the business in addition to seating.

I tried Lick after eating at nearby Bakudan Ramen. Tried the four flavors including fresh mint and chocolate, orange creamsicle, horchata, and coffee in a waffle dish (recommended). I would have to say the latter two flavors were my personal favorites, but what I really liked is that I didn't feel gross afterward. The ice cream tastes wholesome but not 'health foodie', if that makes sense. I would recommend this business.

The staff and the flavors are both amazing. We've been to this location twice so far. I love that we can get lunch or dinner some place close, like North, and then walk into Lick for dessert. Both times we went, it smelled very clean! Always a good sign for a place that makes ice cream! If you are dairy-free, I can say that both the seasonal "No Egg Nog" and the "Chocolate Chocolate" are fantastic! So creamy and with a great amount of flavor! The people behind the counter are very friendly and very efficient, working around each other like a well-oiled machine to make sure everyone is taken care of quickly. The scoops are a very good size! You won't feel cheated. Worth every penny!

I thought Lick was just ok. For the price of the ice cream I guess I was expecting it to be better. Service was good.

My husband and I LOVE coming here! I always forget to take pictures of the ice cream because it's so tasty! The menu changes every season but that makes it worth coming back! They do have a portion of the menu that offers its permanent flavors, another portion of new flavors, and another portion that's vegan or dairy free. So if you love ice cream but don't want to have an upset stomach, come here! The place let's you try new flavors and offers ice cream sandwiches! The people who work there are always welcoming and great at recommending good flavors you want to try. The place offers enough space, but what makes the place charming is you can eat your ice cream and enjoy the scenery outside. The place is great for date night, family outings, or if you're feeling adventurous. Love coming here every time!

I'm so happy I stopped by this ice cream shop! The flavors are so unique. My friend had the Coffee with Cream and Caramel Salt Lick, while I had the Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean and Texas Sheet Cake. The vanilla bean was one of my favorites. The ice cream tasted so fresh and not artificial. I will definitely be back in the future !

Not the usual flavors but so much better. The mint chocolate chip was very different but would get again! Love this place!

What a crock...of anemic tasteless ice cream. I tried to find the butter fat content but was unable to. It cannot be very high as this is anything but a rich quality ice cream. They have a bunch of stupid-named ice cream flavors which means nothing. Three of us ordered 1) peach margarita. 2) goat cheese. 3) cheesecake flavor. Oh, and by the way, the peach margarita ice cream contained Dulce Vida Blanco Tequila ??? This appears to be nothing more than dumb sensational advertising. Not only do you have to buy the ice cream cone so there is nothing cheap here. All three of us with our three flavors noticed they all were colored exactly the same, a slightly tinted yellowish color. However, you don't eat color, do you? So we tasted each other's ice cream and there was absolutely no difference in taste or flavor. They all were cold, sweet and wet... and, obviously very low butter fat content. On a busy Saturday afternoon at the rim, with their store being right near packed restaurants, their store was not the least bit busy. I will take bets on how long this business will be viable and that location.

Had a great visit here! Our party tried the carrot cake, strawberries and cream, goat cheese thyme and honey, and caramel lick flavors. All were delicious and the team was super friendly and patient given it was our first visit.

A friend recommended this place since I was in town visiting and I decided to try it out. I really like the different flavors they offer and had a hard time deciding but decided to keep the seasonal flavors together. I had the lemon lime meringue pie and blueberry crumble flavors. I loved the blueberry crumble even without trying a sample! I could taste more of the lime in the lemon lime meringue pie but still not too bad. My brother had the coffee cream and dark chocolate, olive oil and sea salt flavored ice cream. Definitely preferred the coffee cream ice cream just because the sea salt was a bit overpowering in our opinion. I'm hoping to come back again to try more flavors!!

I really love this ice cream store. You can quickly order local flavors for a decent price.

Ahhhhwww we are Hooked on this ice cream joint, we have to have it pretty often, sometimes twice a week we take the drive, we usually visit the location by the Tower of the America's downtown

Best place for ice cream hands down! The fact that it's homemade and has the best organic ingredients is perfect! Definitely recommended to anyone I know.

All I have to say is, this is the best I've cream I have ever tasted! The flavors are very unique. Almost too unique to accurately describe. It's just one of those places you have to come and experience yourself. Five stars across the board !!!

Tge two friendly cute staff were a lot of help. They are patient and let you taste whatever you want. I ordered mint with chocolate chunk and coffee and cream and they were lovely!!

Humm well it's kinda hidden so if you don't know to look for it you will miss it. The ice cream flavor that we had was pretty good...but at the moment no samples... (bummer there).. flavors are not your normal chocolate or vanilla type.. they do have a few vegan selections.. that's really a plus for some...the servings are pretty small about the size of a ping pong ball. You can get just a cup or pay extra for a cone they have different ones... we got two scoops each with some pecans on top.. that was about 21dollars. This seems a bit pricey to me but then I'm Fan of McDonalds Ice cream sundae for about 2 bucks. Sooo .... Check it out you might like it.

I live right there at the Rim. Walking home after dinner tonight we stopped at Lick to get dessert. We went to the walk up window and ordered 2 pints of different flavors. They didn't have any pre packed pints for the flavors we wanted, so they had to hand pack it. When we got home, both "pints" were the same flavor and there was barely 3/4 of a pint in each container, if that much. I was charged over $20.00 for a little over a pint of ice cream. I lived at the Pearl and went to Lick often, but this location is sub par, and I'm disappointed because it's just a 3 minute walk from my apartment. I won't be going to Lick at the Rim ever again. I feel like was ripped off here. Sad.

I LOVE Lick!! Innovative flavors. Try several before deciding. The goat cheese is one of my favorites. Salted caramel is a favorite. There are also great seasonal flavors.

Lick ice creams are one of the best family operated food chain i admire about .the quality with the seasonal flavors is very tasty and different. We can find ice creams everywher. The flavors is not so common and they are very tasty

I love lick, the service here at the rim is slacking. They always seems annoyed or in a rush to get you out. The usually only have one person working the times I've been.

Absolutely LOVE their loopy fruit and lemon poppy seed ice cream. It tastes homemade. You can definitely tell it is made with love.
