Lido La Pigna

Fantastic spot to relax, enjoy amazing views and great food and drinks. We had great service and recommend reserving chairs the day before in October but probably earlier in peak season. The pizza was great and their drinks were also fantastic! Recommend for sure!

We spent 3 days here. The beach and sea is amazing. Lido La Pigna has a great menu and the menu has reasonable prices. Very clean and friendly staff. There was a family who were listening to music, which was a bit annoying but we didn’t say anything. The staff came and very kindly asked the family to turn down the music. This was a big plus for us! The fact that the Lido respected the peaceful environment, and that they were very kind. I would recommend to reserve in advance to get a nice spot.

The mussels were absolutely amazing – I’d come back just for them! The seafood pizza was surprisingly good, while the Margherita was just okay. Staff were lovely, the prices offered good value, and the views were beautiful, which made the whole experience really enjoyable.

Right in the heart of Taorimina beach this restaurant overlooks the beach. The beach is small rock sand and easy to walk on. We rented chairs there and ate at the restaurant for about 100 Euros. The service was great and the people were very welcoming and friendly. A great place to rent chairs and enjoy the day. The cable service broke and we stood in the rain for over an hour trying to get back up the mountain so make sure you make arrangements beforehand. This was of course not La Pignas fault.

The best beach in Taormina, that’s for sure. In September 2025, the sunbed fee is 30 EUR/ person. The sunbeds have cover for head and therefore they are protecting you for the sun. I have never seen something like that before, it made the experience truly relaxing. Staff are so nice, no bad attitude and they are also super fast. You order food and drinks directly to your sunbed with QR which is an unexpected service for Italy. The cost of pizza’s around 10-15 EUR. You can bring your water from outside but it is not also expensive at the side. The sea was very beautiful in the morning. It’s mix sand and rock. After lunch, the boats have left their garbage and the sea gets dirty unfortunately.

The food was good, but the view was even better. The variety of pizzas is good, and they also have other dishes with fish, chicken, and meat. The prices were fair, considering that it is Taormina, and with the beautiful view, cannot be a better lunch, specially after spending the entire morning in the beach.

Our hotel in Taormina helped arrange a day for my husband and I to relax on the beach. We were introduced to Tomas and Fabrizio, who led us to a front row spot and catered to our every need. The location is fabulous, laid-back and the food delicious. Reasonable prices with exceptional hospitality. The showering and changing facilities were helpful at the end of the day along with the convenience of the attached restaurant. To top it all off, La Pigna arranged round-trip transportation from and back to the hotel!

Relaxt beach vibe. The food is decent and the prices are not too bad. Their cocktails are worth mentioning because they are very good. They serve The Best Piña Colada. You should really try it out.
