Lido House, Autograph Collection Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"Situated right next to the hotel, the walkable Lido Marina Village is a shopaholic's dream where I browsed boutiques like Aesop, Clare V., and The RealReal; it's an easy, stylish stretch for coffee, shopping, and dining." - Britney Eschelman

Google
One of the most upscale spots in the area for walking, eating, and drinking. Follow us on instagram @gemislist for more info and to discover other great spots!

It was a gloomy day, but the area was still lovely for hanging out, shopping, and enjoying some delicious food. The boat show was a lot of fun, and there are various events where you can purchase tickets, which is a great feature. Parking can be a challenge, but aside from that, the entire area is quite nice.

Google
Lido Marina Village is a delightful waterfront destination that effortlessly blends chic boutiques, delicious eateries, and stunning views. The charming atmosphere, coupled with the variety of shops and restaurants, makes it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll or a fun-filled day out. While parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially on weekends, the overall experience is well worth it. I particularly enjoyed browsing the unique shops and indulging in a delicious meal at one of the waterfront restaurants. The beautiful marina setting provides a picturesque backdrop for any occasion.

Google
Good place to visit. A lot of restaurants and goods shops.

Google
We really liked this small, clean area with luxury shopping and restaurants along the marina. Public picnic benches and pedestrian walkways are available. Plenty of parking nearby = if you eat at a restaurant they will endorse the parking.

Sussanna D.

Google
Wonderful place to hang out and listen to music drink coffee or have a delicious meal. The shopping is the best! Doen, Cynthia Rowley, Aleph, The Real Real, and sugar paper. Never have to leave. The French Buckets flower Stand well I’m a little partial but it is so fun and beautiful!!!!

Guillaume B.

Google
This outdoor upscale mall-like location is a great place to enjoy the marina as well as visit a few luxury boutiques such as the Real-real, Le Labo and many others. After each visit we like to pass by Nobu, for a gastronomic stop. This location is definitely less crowded than the Malibu one. Overall Lido Marina village is a pleasant stop if you are in the Newport Beach area, ideal for some fun shopping and dining while not being too busy away from LA crowd.

Google
It is hard to park near Lido Marina Village during weekends. However, if you can park near here, you can enjoy walking down the streets and the boat docks. There are lots of good restaurants and small beautiful shops. Also, you can find Blue Bottle Coffee. (only one in OC County)

Yelp
This area is such a vibe! Reminds us of Lido Island, next to Venice, Italy. Coastal and a clean area! Parking was easy in the structure and as long as you get it validated in a restaurant there, it was only $5 for us. Safe area to walk around and the variety of shops was great. From ice cream to clothing to dinner restaurants, every store seemed to be decorated so cute. Highly recommend walking around this area even if it's just for taking in the views. They did a great job to bring the Italian coastline to Newport. Service: 5/5 Value: 4/5 (expect pricey for most things) Selection: 5/5

Yelp
Lido Marina Village is a delightful waterfront destination that blends chic boutiques, great restaurants, and beautiful views. The charming atmosphere makes it perfect for a leisurely stroll, shopping, or enjoying a meal by the water. Parking can be tricky, especially on weekends, since the area gets busy. There are metered spots and some paid parking near Nobu if you drive into the smaller side streets, you may get lucky there. Once you're in, there's so much to enjoy: unique shops, coffee spots, beauty salons, and a wide variety of restaurants. Live music is often hosted right outside Nobu and Zinqué, with plenty of seating and a wonderful waterfront backdrop. Overall, it's a must-visit in Newport Beach for both locals and visitors.

Yelp
The Lido Marina Village is a beautiful area near Balboa Island that offer beautiful shops, restaurants and even the famous Lido theater! Parking in the garage can be a little pricey and most other parking opportunities are either metered or valet. That would be my only negative. But, the whole area is clean, safe, and trendy. All around great vibes!
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars all the way but why does everything close at 6 pm on a Tuesday other than restaurants? I wanted to shop after I had sushi at Nobu. Oh well, I saved whatever I didn't spend at sushi. It is so cool and swanky here!!

Yelp
Great little village along the water. I used to go here decades ago when my kid was little, there are many things to discover and to enjoy...especially during the summer or any seasons of the year. There are plenty of coffee shops, boutique stores, plenty of well known and high end restaurants, spaces with benches, chairs & tables to enjoys the area, gym and even a social club. The village is about 1/4 of a mile and along the water where boats/ yachts park.they do have street parking (limited time) and parking garage (w/ paid) or across the street parking (paid and unpaid). It's a nice cool breeze village, all restaurants are facing the water and have both inside and outside seating areas. Great services by all and yes prices can be expensive here (you pay for the locations and the names and qualities). Very lovely, relaxing, refreshing and romantic place to be.

Yelp
Love this place!!! So cute. Great variety of food options. Shopping. Treats. Views of the bay. And one of the best massages I've EVER had at a place nearby called A Little Touch of Heaven. Fun spot to go on a date or take the family.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice place to stroll around during a nice sunny day, with higher end shops and restos. Great view of the Marina where you can rent a boat. There's a stoney clover, le labo, nobu, the real real, rye goods, an independent bookstore - a much different vibe from Fashion Island and there's street parking or validated. The holiday decor is so festive with the wonderful not so warm Fall week in the OC.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite places to walk around, grab a bite to eat and shop! So many stores and food places to choose from, but I love the food at Malibu Farm and Herst has the yummiest coffee! It also isn't a true Lido trip for me without stopping into The Real Real, Le Labo, and Aesop- 3 of my favorite stores! Everything around here is pretty pricey but well worth it (We are in Newport Beach after all)! Parking in the structure is super easy- just make sure to validate so you don't have to pay a fortune!
google avatar

Yelp
Lido Marina Village is a cool place to walk around, hang out, eat, and take pictures! They have quite a few pricer restaurants, cafes and shops. Personally, I end up at Malibu Farm for drinks or a quick bite. I've been to Nobu for a special occasion. I know a decent amount of "OC content creators" that take photos using the minimalist but pretty backgrounds in Lido Marina. There are also lots of duffy boats and boats available for rent/events. They have a parking structure and most establishments will validate up to 2 hours of parking. There is also street parking available nearby with the ParkMobile app. Overall, a nice place in Newport Beach if you want to stroll or eat.
google avatar

Ashley Y.

Yelp
Parking is a hit or miss. If you come during the week, you'll find parking but on the weekend-good luck! Don't forget to get your parking validated. There are restaurants, boutiques, hair salons, coffee shops, a bakery, flower shop and much more. It's fun to walk around but is not a huge place, you can also rent a boat and drive around. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy yourself, drink coffee, have a meal or work from.

Yelp
Lovely area of Newport Beach to shop, hangout, enjoy the harbor sights and have a bite to eat. A must when visiting the area! We had a fantastic meal at Fable & Spirits.
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
This is just a nice place to walk around and snack. There are a few coffee shops and restaurants. There are places to shop, but most importantly, the view of the harbor is wonderful.
google avatar

Athena A.

Yelp
Gorgeous place, perfect for photography, memories and those who like exploring. Must see!! You can rent a boat for $75 per hour and enjoy the scenery or have some dinner over the harbor.
google avatar

Gmoney G.

Yelp
cute little area. Of course you have to be young and rich to be able to afford to shop around here. parking is pretty hard to find. I generally have to park like blocks down the way. I take my stuff to real real to sell. Not a huge fan of the snoody stuck up Newport folk

Yelp
Stopped by this little village two weeks ago for a change in scenery. We weren't too impressed. First off, the parking garage here is filthy. For a plaza that's meant to be upscaled with boutiques and nice restaurants, we expected the parking garage to be on that level too, or clean to say the least but it just smelled like piss. However, the plaza/marina village itself is honestly decent. There's a number of boutiques here with nice decor. The area is pet friendly and overlooks the marina which is beautiful. There's a couple of dining options too, Malibu Farms, Nobu, Zinque, etc. We tried to check out the plaza but there wasn't much for us to do here. We strolled around for about 30 minutes and ended up paying $4 upon exiting the parking garage. That's just absurd. This place is too overrated for our taste if we're being honest.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
A great waterfront environment but their parking enforcement is over the top. I've dropped $10's of thousands in retail, food & beverage and professional services. I'm done with Lido Village and will not spend another dime in this place. Go pass your 30 minutes and they bang you $75.00 bucks.....1 last week and another today parking a Vespa not even in a parking space or blocking walkways.
google avatar

Candice S.

Yelp
Cute marina village to stroll around and get a bite but there are better places in the area to overspend. Parking is pricey, the shops are expensive but the food is generally good. It's a nice place to snap a few trendy photos for social but not somewhere worth lingering for a long time.

Yelp
As the holidays are quickly approaching, it's always nice to take in the season's festivities. With that said, the folks at Lido Marina Village have made every effort to create a charming winter village vibe with seasonal decor, fun activities for families, beautiful holiday displays, trendy boutiques decked out in holiday decor and artisanal eateries with seasonal menus. I just recently enjoyed watching the annual boat parade from the docks here and many of the restaurants offered a great vantage point for us to dine and view the lighted boats, as well. The gym i attend is located in the same village, so it's a nice stroll before I have a workout. The village also has several dining options with most of them offering sweeping views of the harbor like Malibu Farm, Lido Bottle Works, Zinque and the world famous Nobu to name a few. Duffy boat rentals are also available if you're interested in enjoying a daytime cruise around the harbor. They also have a great coffee shop and bakery, as well. You can honestly make it a day here and enjoy the wonderful charm of Lido. Nearby are some great venues like Hana Haus, Blue Bottle Coffee Shop and Michelin "Discoveries" Fable & Spirit Definitely a lot to do here and they also offer validated parking for up to 2 hours with a chaser ticket from the local shops and restaurants. Happy Holidays!

Yelp
SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMMMMMER! I! LOVE! SUMMMERRRRRRR...! Yes, I do. Lido Marina Village is the perfect place to celebrate summer. Here's the summer recipe: Get a gorgeous coffee at Honor Coffee Roasters. Decompress. Walk along the marina. Decompress. Stop in at any one of a variety of eateries: Nobu, Zinqué, Circle Hook, Malibu Farm, Lido Bottle Works. Decompress. Enjoy a cocktail or beer. Decompress. Stroll through the lovely farmers market, and partake in something fresh, high quality, and delicious to bring home. Fill your soul. Repeat next week. Just absolutely love it here! Lido Village, thank you for a beautiful summer!!

Yelp
They have a parking garage, which was full when I went, so I did parking in a small lot. It's definitely hard to find parking, but I got lucky. You can pay for parking by downloading the ParkMobile app. On a Saturday, it was about $3.50 for 1 and half hours. They have cute little shops and food areas here. It's smaller than I expected, but it's a nice walking area to explore local stores and restaurants.
google avatar

Charis R.

Yelp
PARKING: There are a handful of free spots on the small brick road that cuts through the shopping tract, but good luck snagging a space. The rest of parking is select metered spots, valet (free with proof of $250+ purchase) or the parking structure where you get 2 hours complimentary with validation from select shops or restaurants (not Herst Coffee fyi). But if you're even a minute past your 2 hours you'll be charged $2.50. They are sticklers here!
google avatar

Yelp
It has a good feel here. I like it. It's no Fashion Island, but it's fine. It's right on the marina overlooking all the yachts. It's an upscale shopping area for upscale people. If you are not upscale, you probably want to call and see if it's okay to come here. If you do come here--look upscale--don't wear that ripped 1970's Ozzy Osborne tee shirt--they don't want that here. The bathrooms are also upscale--I liked the men's room--very nice--nicer than my bathroom at home. Masks are required right now here, but it's the OC so not everyone complies unless you tell them to, then some will curse you about it as they walk away I saw--hey it's Newport beach--what do you want? This is Trump area and he says no masks. They have restaurants here--you can dine outside. Coffee shops, clothing stores, a large multi-level garage with 2-hours free parking and nice covered bike parking near the shops. It's a great place to come and relax. Check it out.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to walk around, dine, and shop. I truly wish the parking situation was much easier / convenient / free. I bet more people would be here if it was more easily accessible. However, with that, it's actually nice to step away here 'away from the crowds' than say a mall. The water views (especially when dining) are the perfect Newport day vibe and the area is just a nice place to stroll and hang out (alone, walking dog, with friends and/or fam, day date, etc.) It's a super versatile village and a cute spot to hang out.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot to walk around. I love the le labo spot to get my perfume and getting a coffee shop nearby there. There are restaurants nearby if you need a snack or something too. The views here are impeccable (the water is right there!) and makes for a good remote spot to work.
google avatar

Carmen L.

Yelp
This is a beautiful little outdoor plaza that offer both shopping and dining experiences. As a planner, I am glad to see they redevelop this area to a trendy and cute little town. Parkings might be hard to fine especially during summer and weekends (they do have a parking structure and street parkings). They have a lot of unique selections of shops and restaurants. My favorites will be the Stoney clover lane and love shack fancy! And I also like Nobu and blue bottle coffee. Bear flag is also a great choice for casual dining. They also have special events for holidays and celebrations as well at the plaza.
google avatar

Janette N.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this area. This "village" consists of boutiques, restaurants, and aesthetic photo locations!! A perfect place to go on a weekend stroll with your significant other and it's also very family and dog friendly.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
This is a nice Marina shopping center. Took my girl here over the weekend and she loved it. She had been here a million times. My first real time shopping and observing here. I live in Fountain Valley now to where we can come here more often anytime we feel like it. Nice spot to hang out with friends and family and take photos. Nice spots to eat and drink too. I love hanging in Newport Beach. We will be here a little more often now.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is neat. I mean neat and tidy. Beautiful streets, shops, marina, and people. Great place to window shop and get a bite to eat. And bring your credit cards... just in case.

LEE C.

Yelp
Annoying management! I love most of the stores / restaurants here but the management now gives you one hour max parking even with validation. I will not be back as it is not possible to have dinner or even lunch in one hour.

Yelp
"Let your dreams set sail!" The Lido Marina Village is a whimsical little plaza in Newport Beach that embodies all that is desirable about living in Southern California. Built along the Newport Bay, you can see the water and the boats. There are plenty of tables and chairs out for you to emotionally inhale the uplifting ambiance. Your options for parking are valet or parking structure. They parking structure is free for the first hour and then you are charged by increments of 15 minutes afterwards. I just valeted my car since it was just $8 for the first 2 hours and then $3 for every half hour afterwards. The Lido Marina Village is still growing since it is relatively new but it already has a fine selection of little boutiques and specialty shops. My interests were especially peaked at Lido Village Books and Nobu. The clothing stores had plenty of beach appropriate outfits if you happened to be visiting and needed a change of clothes. Fair warning though, everything was on the pricier side. Even if you aren't here to dine or shop, this is still a very cute area to walk around. The weather in southern California is so lovely, this is a perfect spot to walk around on a breezy sunny day. They have comfortable intimate seating throughout the village and umbrellas to give you shade. There are also a lot of positive quotes painted on the buildings. My FAVORITE thing about the Lido Marina Village is the little area by the large rectangle fountain with a kiosk of little boats. This area was designed just for kids to come by and play with the little boats. It is completely free!!! The little kids were having so much fun. If I had kids, this would be the perfect family spot -- fun enough for the kids but lovely enough for the adults. "We cannot control the wind, but we can adjust the sails." Wherever the wind decides to push me, I am sure that I will find my way back here.
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
Cute spot for walking around and hanging out. The views here are great which is a perfect date night spot. There's boat rentals here if you're interested in driving around the water. The only downside is the parking. There's meter parking but its always full, and small parking garages but they're usually full also.
google avatar

Lizelle P.

Yelp
Quaint little village in Newport Beach with brilliant views of the marina. Home to the world renowned Nobu restaurant. Street parking is expensive and not easily available. There is a parking garage.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous place! Went down to some of the shops with some of my friends. I wouldn't say there is a lot of shops, but it's a cute area to walk around and grab a bite.
google avatar

Gemma C.

Yelp
There aren't as many shops here as one would like, however, it's a nice cute area to walk around if you have an hour to spend.
google avatar

Mom A.

Yelp
Decent place to stroll and eat or get Latte. Quiet and safe. Saturday night during Covid not too busy.

Crystal W.

Yelp
Worst marina Ive ever been to. Parking service is horrendous, really rude and very unhelpful. We wanted to turn around but the lady forced us to go in and pay for parking. The marina itself is pretty but the service is terrible.

Alizabeth I.

Yelp
No longer offering 1 Hour free parking Parking rates are obsurd Must buy expensive meal or store purchases for a validation Meters are cheap but never available as a lot of workers/construction/Newport Beach locals with permit taking up space Now can't even come for a fast cup of coffee as 30min zone is always taken too It's LA now
google avatar

Jacqui A.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Wide variety of boutiques and restaurants to choose from. Locating parking is tough.
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
Boutique stores in a cool modern environment. All stores staff were so friendly and professional. It's a must spot to visit when in the area. Great variety of stores. Loved it

Li C.

Yelp
Parking attendant made racist remark, and refused to do any service. Just rolled his eyes and pretended he didn't hear me and stayed in his chair! If management allows them to get away with racist attitudes , then this place is not friendly to nonwhite people. Very rude and definitely not a welcoming place . Take your money and Go shop elsewhere!
google avatar

Neela S.

Yelp
Wow what a gem of a place! What's better than a quaint village overlooking the marina? This place has it all! Trendy shopping and cool 5 star restaurants. We fully intend to try them all. There is a parking garage available for your convenience which is a plus.. The area is extremely well kept and clean. I look forward to my Sunday evening trips to Lido Village.
google avatar

Denise H.

Yelp
This entire area has been revamped so everything looks new and pretty. This is a perfect way to spend a few hours plus you can look at some pretty fantastic boats to boot. I wanted to go into the Serena & Lilly store but I couldn't find it. My hubs was getting very antsy (he HATES to shop) so we just left. One thing I have to say is that almost every store I went into I sensed some attitude boarding on contempt from the salespeople. Get with it people. You just work there and you probably can't even afford to shop there without your employee discount. LOL.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
Wayyyy overrated!! Parking $8.00 hr , first hour no longer comped as of a month ago! Nothing there worth the hassle
google avatar

Yonnie C.

Yelp
Came by here today just when they were having their boat show. Parking in their lot was $50 flat rate, but good thing I found free 30 minute parking along the street (even though I had to walk at least 5 minutes). Toddler went scootering in the village, we found the tiny boat for kids to 'pretend to steer' and some nice photo areas. We had a good time hanging out for a bit on a nice sunny Friday.
google avatar

Odie O.

Yelp
Lovely little shopping and restaurant district right on the water mostly clothing and soaps and fine restaurants with views of the water and boats
google avatar

Yelp
I love love lido marina! It's a place you can spend an entire afternoon of fun with gals or simply hanging out! Experience the outdoor air in the marina with some lunch and shopping and if on Wednesdays.....visit the farmers market on the strip.

Yelp
Nice outdoor seating area, fun staff and delicious food - recommended! Wide choice of healthy items as well.

Yelp
my review is for Kelsey at Loveshack Fancy. unfortunately I can't find their specific business page for their Newport location. We strolled in here after our little boat trip and the store is so stinking cute! I bet they are so used to people taking snapshots for the "gram" or TikTok. But I digress, KELSEY was super friendly. We literally were just amazed by the whole esthetic of the the place, we just had to walk in! Kelsey greeted us and was super friendly! My 7 year old son was with us and he went straight to the corner with beads for kids to make bracelets with (they didn't have the string, but that was ok because later we came home and he made a bracelet for him and his 1 year old sister). I had asked Kelsey if its ok if he grabs a few so he can make name bracelets for him and his sister and she was so for it! my son is super shy, but once she was talking to him he wasn't as shy anymore! Kelsey, thank you for your kindness, it made our already great day even more great!

Yelp
I visited Lido Marina Village on Sunday for their Valentines Day pop up specials. It was so much fun for the whole family. The photo booth outside of Sugar Paper was darling, great setup, props and the Valentines Day card that you received complimentary was so cute. We love the open walkability around that area of Lido. Enjoying the beautiful water views with the new architecture design and upgraded store fronts is very fun. We grabbed lunch in the area and did some shopping. Check it out with friends or family- bring your dog and cruise around. The kids will love it. Something for everyone.
