We feel so lucky to have stayed in the Lido Palace, its location is second to none. Our room was spacious, clean and cool. Breakfast, sometimes after a morning swim in the sea (hotel provides towels) was varied and plentiful and available from 7.30 until 10.30 (although some people thought arriving 10.15/10.20 to start breakfast was acceptable, not fair on the staff in my view). The staff made the hotel, from keeping the rooms immaculate, through great bar service and room service, to breakfast and of course the front desk. Nothing was too much trouble and we would highlight that Christian went out of his way to make our stay excellent. Although I’m writing this review, the hotel will be closed for 2020 for refurbishment. I’m sure it will be excellent when it reopens, and a big factor in this opinion is the quality of the staff.

This is a lovely old classic Italian Hotel in the number one position in town, right in front of the beach. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious with the view from the balcony amazing, the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by. We stayed in room 402 where the bedroom was located at the back of the hotel, which was really peaceful at night. My only negative was the lack of tea and coffee in the room, but I’m sure this could be easily addressed. |Breakfast was very good, with a large of choice of everything you’d expect, the cappuccino’s were particularly good.

Lovely hotel right across from the beach. We had a junior suite deluxe sea view with balcony and plenty of room for 2 people. The rooms were clean and tidy and well kept. The bathroom was equally clean and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was as expected with a cold and hot buffet with plenty of choice. The restaurant menu (American Bistro) had enough choice as there was also a snack menu which you could pick from. The hotel was close to all the shops and restaurants. Only thing would be if you have mobility problems the room we were in had stairs going down to the room and stairs in the room as well. This hotel is closing at the end of September 2019 to be refurbished and hopefully opening in April 2021.

Stayed for three nights and used it as a gateway for CInque Terre. Nice, clean place adequate for our needs. Food was good for breakfast staring at 7:30 am. Room was clean and we had a view of the beach and inlet. A tad noisy outside behind the hotel at night but stopped by 11pm or so. Not a real issue. Easy access to the train station by stairs or a short flat detour to get there. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Comfortable and convenient location. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was included which was a plus. We also had a view of the beachfront from our room. Only downside was that the WiFi was slow at times and water was not provided in the rooms although this can be purchased from nearby stores for cheap prices.

Great view out over the sea from our room although no balcony! Good to cool off in the Mediterranean over the road! Breakfast was chaos with 2 big buses leaving and not opening til 7.30am.

This place is faded, and is 3 star at best. Think Golden Girls. Tacky old decor, noisy old air conditioning that barely works, bar fridge with overpriced water (no complimentary water here) . Towels and bathroom products helped improve the low rating. Beds felt old and rickety/noisy. Not many redeeming qualities other than location. Noisy at night. I wanted to burn the horrid artwork. My eyes! Parking at the hotel is €35 per 24 hours. Ouch. For the prices they wanted, there are better hotels close by. (We know, we walked the streets and cried when we saw them) The only staff member I have interacted with has been friendly, so extra star.

We stayed at the Lido Palace for the past couple of days. The location of this hotel is perfect. Just in the center of the waterfront, it was incredibly close to everything. We would spend the entire day in the water, or on various excursions and then wanted to collapse in the hotel after dinner. Unfortunately, we visited in the middle of a heat wave and the air conditioning felt like it was barely working. That, combined with the humidity, made for a pretty uncomfortable night’s sleep. Additionally, they said they had free WiFi. And we were able to connect to the internet. But the WiFi was so slow, it was basically unusable. I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are visiting during warm summer months or if you HAVE to have internet access.

Yelp
I will say this refurbished hotel was pretty decent, clean but not plush. As an American, amenities are sought, but in Europe, you must be flexible or stay home. The room, which could accommodate four overlooked the water and was considered to be a suite with two separated areas. We looked forward to their continental breakfast which was better than some of those I've seen in the States. The staff was just ok, not overly helpful yet polite. We had a luggage problem and I thought they could have handled the matter better. 3.5 stars.

Yelp
Our experience included a largely unhelpful check-in. If you do park there (30 euro/night), the parking lot is located off a tiny tiny alley that looks like a walkway to the train station just past the last palm tree. Breakfast was good, but please read the warning signs about the toaster! The mattress was pretty hard, the room had a weird layout, but a nice balcony and the a/c worked well. We were surprised about the lack of a safe and coffee maker in the room.

Yelp
Superb location with amazing views, request a sea view with balcony. This hotel is clean and the rooms were spacious. Close to all tourist attractions and with some nice restaurants around. The parking is a bit expensive but I think they take advantage of the little parking around. The internet was really slow but I was glad because it kept the kids off their phones. Very friend and helpful staff.

Yelp
Amazing. The staff was warm and welcoming and our room was amazing. We had a beautiful terrace that looked onto the water. I wish we could have stayed at this hotel longer it was a real treat.

Yelp
This hotel is fantastic. The staff is amazingly helpful. The hotel is located smack in the middle of town and right across from the beach. Stay here!
